I just wanted to reiterate that, the same passion and energy we use to protect the likes of Dangote, is the same we need to use for "Nigerian"/ "African"/ "Alkebulan" independent thinkers, scientists, machinists, farmers, producers, and etc.

Yes, as Dr. Olumide says, "..it's not been done enough" throughout Mamaland. How do we push hard enough for change in our African educational systems? Where and why do we get 'stuck'? Who follows up on implementations proposed and started? I believe it is not too late. We in the education sector should have an African Educational Forum to exchange 'notes' on the way forward. Looking forward...

Hmm... It will be difficult for those in power to allow for entrepreneural modules from the elementary level. The system was designed to keep existing "powers" in power perpetually; else, things should have taken another turn by now. More wisdom to you, Dr. Olumide Emmanuel.

Access to capital can make even a secondary school certificate owner a billionaire that can create jobs for even 5000 people ask igbo traders how they did it. Our education system isn't the problem but access to capital Oga Sabinus.

Education is key. When you give money to people with the average Nigerian mindset the money will be immediately squandered and they come begging for more

Dr you are wrong to propose closing Nigerian economy. That’s what Buhari did and you see where Nigeria is today. China didn’t close their economy rather they forced greedy American corporations to establish their manufacturing in country if they want access to their large population and then they stole their secrets. Nigeria needs to believe in the supremacy of the market, and train the citizens to acquire skills, not bogus certificates and allow businesses the freedom to compete. Get Nigerian corrupt governments out of the way of businesses but support them financially and through enabling laws and watch them trive

One of the dumbest takes ever.
How can you have job creators when the economy is always up and down?
How can you have job creators when access to capital as an entrepreneur is non-existent?
How can you have job creators when insecurity is rife?
We just love to talk about these surface issues whilst ignoring the real underlying causes.

A major trait of entrepreneurs aka job creators is their ability to solve problem and not complain about problems as they see every problem as opportunities...
People who are trained to be the opposite of Entrepreneurs are only good at complaining about problems and are totally blind to the limitless opportunities problems offer.
You have done an excellent job of proving him right...

Education systems by themselves are never meant to create entrepreneurs. People learn to become entrepreneurs outside education. The evidence is literally everywhere in Nigeria and the world over. You simply do not need or require education to become a successful entrepreneur. But you definitely need access to capital and the environment needs to be right or at the very least amenable for your ideas as an entrepreneur to grow.
The average Entrepreneur who succeeds in Nigeria succeeds inspite of the many unfavorable factors. And for every 1 entrepreneur who manages to succeed in Nigeria, 10,000 have failed for reasons relating mostly to the harsh economic atmosphere. Also, not everyone can and should be an entrepreneur, that is not how the world works, that is not how mature economies work, it is impossible. The Nigerian youth is already carrying the burden placed on its shoulders by the failures of past generations (generations of our so-called Dr).
If you think that the role of education is to somehow magically create entrepreneurs and ours falls short, then you are as intellectually incapacitated as that so-called Dr.

With an attitude you have just displayed you are not a job creator. Job creators are those that solve problems that people are happy to pay for

    • @aglactv7893

What you don't know is bigger than you, if you can solve problems in under developed country like nigeria you will definitely create jobs
