Hi Tarini....amazing session for us parents and students to understand Manipal with better perspective . Can you give more 0:05 info on CPS branch like before 4th July so that I can fill CPS in the choices for my son. He didn't get any seat till yet so after Vlsi Bangalore planning to add CPS plus round three will be last. Also can you give some insight on the Jaipur campus, differences between main and Jaipur. 3. Info on intra round like how much is the possibility of getting a jump in intra round..like cps itself is an amazing branch but in case one wants another branch.. then ?
It's interesting to see how far Manipal has come. About FC2... the whole place was nothing. It was just a staircase and a grassy slope down from block 15 to 16 back in 2015. Was fun to visit Manipal this year. Student plaza... well.. wish you people now could have seen how the vibe was when we did not have Student Plaza but a basketball court and Kamat Circle there and when auto rickshaws started at 25 rupees. Hope you juniors know how good the food in Sindhi mess is. Its the stuff of legends. :) Anyways, all the best to the batch of 2028 from batch of 2019. Look after your umbrellas. ;)
Haha. There's new things that every batch gets to experience. Each of us have had vastly different yet great experiences. As for sindhi mess: we still have it! It is the bestt.

Hey Tarini, the content was really informative, thanks for that. Had a small query. Last yr the cps students has chem cycle first but in your batch which cycle did u guys first have?
How is eletronics and instrumentation engineering at manipal is it worth to take in 2024 if yes how will the future treat to a tech graduate in instrumentation engineering inshot future scope
thank you so much for this, it was really informative! i had a doubt though, I will be joining MIT this year in a CS related course as I am interested in learning about programming. I do want to join one of the SPs, preferably Cryptonite, but I was a PCMB student till 12th, hence have no experience in coding. do you think I will be able to join an SP?
In most of the sps, you don't need deep coding knowledge, they will ask you questions from general aptitude and some coding questions which require logic but not the knowledge of any particular language. As for cryptonite, you may need to know the basics of any language, other than that it's a learn and apply process
Any info about the Mechatronics(dual degree program with Deakin University)? Nd what are the chances of getting the branch changed from MechX dual degree to Mechx or CPS in intra institute sliding nd which month does it usually happen?
I have deposited 10000 as registration fee today at 4 p.m. transaction was successful for which i recd. EMail too,😢 but choice filling window is not appearing..what to do😢
I got 20885 rank in mit should i take eie or eee in main campus or should go for ece in Bangalore.which is worth it i want to get job in software field
You can check past years rank vs allotment tables, you will find them on websites like shiksha.com or with a google search "manipal met rank vs cutoff" - to get a better idea. We cannot say for sure, as this changes every year, but that should hopefully give you a decent idea.
I have a query aswell. I am interested in the AI/ML field (would want to pursue masters for it as I want to go towards academic/research field). I am fairly confident I can get CS core and CS AI/ML. As said in the video, since I have a gameplan and want to go more academic sector, It would be better to go for specialization, right? Also Thank you for the quality video, everyone was contributing well. Lot of the explanations especially on the topics of CS were talked about more indepth and technically than most videos about Manipal.
My rank is 6149 in manipal entrance test 2024.......can i get cse or ece or IT in main campus ??? And if I get ece or IT in main campus and cse in banagolre campus then which one is better ??

Coz I am not here by passion I am here for money & life and college experince , So what is the easiest way to achieve my aim?
Hi Tarini. I was hoping for CSE specializations but due to the boards addition my rank has dropped to maybe EE VLSI.although that's my second interest after cse, are electronics students in general allowed to sit for tech placements in case they feel they're much interested in coding. Also, hoping to see you soon there:)

@@anushtiwari7102 checkout Marena on google- that is MAHEs sports centre, inside MIT campus there are football, cricket, table tennis, tennis, badminton courts. as well as gym- boys and girls. and swimming pool within mit campus. We have addressed this in the video as well, please watch it.
Hi Tarini di i got 6k rank and definitely going in main campus which block is best for an amazing hostel life and appreciate your efforts for making this vedio and would love to get your reply
Hi it comes under the "instrumentation and control" dept. The future prospects seem good, as per my opinion, but i would suggest good research on your part.
Regarding a doubt in counselling. If in 1st round I don't get seat allotment. Will I be sent to 2nd round counselling automatically without any need to pay another 10k for counselling again? Or do I have to pay 10k again for 2nd round of counselling? Btw this episode was very informative and insightful thanks for making it!
sis i got 3435 rank in 1st round i got mit bnglr cse core in round 3 should i keep another branches in mit manipal cce or it and pls explain about scholar schoarship
i have a similar query. i have the option bewteen IT and CCE, and your inputs were very helpful, but im not sure what i want to higher study later and have looked through the curriculum for both its quite similar except for the networking part in cce. i dont have a specific interest so im fine with either so which should i take for better quality course, placement, etc. i know its subjective but which do you and the other seniors think i should take 😭 thankyou
CCE is old and established and comes under ICT dept. MnC is new, take that into consideration Is what I would suggest, but please do your research and take an informed decision based on what you like.
Hello, my rank is 12k and by seeing previous year cutt off i am getting VLSI in manipal and ece in Bangalore. Now my friend told me that both are vast branches and most of the people find VLSI on the tougher side. So can you please guide me
VLSI is a new branch, so no one can give you proper advice on it, without having entered the course yet. This year, after people enter the course, you will get a better idea.
Can we change our department in second year if we score good gpa? What is the min gpa in first year to change the course. And also I got 3360 rank in met and I will get computer science and financial tech and all the remaining courses in manipal for my rank.Or should I prefer data science over CFT or not?bcz CFT has been just started last year and nobody has any idea about the teaching and about the good placements.
Yes, you can change your department based on gpa. But for any CS related branch, the cutoff is 9.2+cgpa, and for core CSE, it goes up to even 9.6cgpa. Choose CFT if you have interest in fintech and you want to be placed in finance companies. If you don't have any particular preference, then chose DSE/CCE
Hey Tarini, looked at your vdo on MIT, a quick genuine question, my son's rank is 33k , as per this year's rank range, he might get chemical or industrial engineering, what are the chances we take it and then try to upgrade in spot round?? Pls advise.
What about eni and cps As its new branch but its course and scope seems interesting Idk about eni but frm job pov its seems better than cps in current scenario What will be your take !
Hi, How is the Data Science & Engineering branch at Manipal, Udupi campus? Is it a part of Computer Department or is it a separate department? How are placement opportunities in DSE at Manipal?
didi is there any way to contact you pls didi it would be very beneficial for me if I could have a talk with you I am confused about this branch cyber systems...I have a lot of confusion too..pls help I am getting cktal branches at main campus but don't wanna commit mistakes..I might get cyber systems too? I hope you will help
VLSI has various prospects - Physical Hardware design, Digital design, hardware testing etc. A lot of software tools are used in the digital VLSI design, these include scripting in languages like Verilog, SystemVerilog etc. Apart from this, ML in VLSI is another field that may interest you which includes implementation of Machine Learning techniques for automation of VLSI design.
I got 15k rank in met yesterday...should i take cyber physical systems?is it worth it? Also should i think of branch migration after an year to cse after taking cyber physical systems? How are placements?
I got ece vlsi at manipal and in the second round I will get data science at banglore and in the third round maybe I can get electronics at manipal what should I do
can we do masters in cse after btech in cps? (if i can then can i land a job of like software or aiml engineer in tech companies after that?) i am interested in coding so what software roles can i get in internship?
Hello Do you know anything about lateral entry for btech directly in second year in Mit Manipal main campus I've already applied for this particular course through the website My documents (diploma marks card) got approved, but till now there is no further reply maybe you know someone from the college who took admission through lateral entry please help
hi tarini di i have 27xx rank so i have filled the preference order as 1 cs 2 csai what should be third branch which has the best placements after cs and csai please tell
My daughter is getting cps at mit manipal and IT at a state govt college (goa engineering college)... Also she might get eni at mit manipal in the next round of counseling...so..what do u think we should prefer?? And what are your thoughts on placements in cps?
CPS is a new branch So placement stats are yet to be known However if your daughter is interested in electronics CPS or ENI in mit is a good option. If not, it would be preferable to go for a cs branch.
Bro obviously u should choose ece in blr campus. Ece is an evergreen branch. It will help u on campus as well offcampus placements with good package. Blr campus is better for internships and placement opportunities.
I've got around 28k in met exam and im getting aeronautical in mit manipal is it possible to change branch to cse or ece after 1st year and is it hard or easy what are the chances to change branch
Cse in manipal is comparable to other top private colleges. There’s good faculty, knowledgeable But like mentioned, differs. You may want to dm a cs senior from LinkedIn to get an even better idea
The document submission process generally happens within a week after the results of 3rd round of the counselling is over. And actual classes start after a week or two
hey sis ! i got 7589 rank in met. what shoould i prefer ECE in mit or cse in mit bgl.....I am interested in both....its all about the placements nd stuff....should i opt ece over cse in main branch and slide in the 3rd sem....is getting 9 cgpa easy?
If you’re interested in ECE , nothing like it, else u can consider the other options If u want Cse and u get it in sliding, you can go for it in main campus
How is cyber physical system in manipal and is it worth it to pursue this branch at rank of 19k if my daughter gets it cause its a new branch and what you think are the placements of the same ..please guide
@tarini.padmanabhuni but would you suggest to take admission in this branch as per your opinion for overall development too compared to kj somya college mumbai
Biotech in MIT is known to be one of the best in the country, you also have student projects and research projects under it which are of very good eminence. Check out Manipal BioMachines- a student project in this regards. Biotech in MIt, is a good option imo.
Bhaiya Please advice genuinly MIT Manipal ECE vs MUJ CSE. I have keen interset in CSE. Also should i rely on branch change if i am gracefully good in acadmics.
Madam , I want to study at mit manipal I 4k rank in met Can I please know about cps engineering , I want to purse it Like is it software or hardware Job opportunities What it is exactly?? Please tell me
@@tarini.padmanabhuni Hello didi, i’m getting CPS branch in main campus and cse core in manipal jaipur but i want to prefer main campus, i wanted to know if i would be eligible for sitting in tech companies placement and will taking cps in manipal be worth it?? pls help its really important
Hi tarini di Firstly appreciating you for your efforts and loved the session. I have a question can you clear for me. 1. I got 1200 rank today and I know nobody knows exact cut-off this year but you can give me a gist of it . 2. I want cse core but AIML also seems good. So whats the difference bw cse core and with a spec? 3. I filled only cse core and cse AIML in my preferences in 1st round of counseling. Are these enough for 1200 rank. Thanks for your time though
1. No clue myself bro, changes every year, can give a rough estimate 2. Addressed in the video, + check the course curriculum in the website 3. Should be, hopefully by round 2 if not 3 you should definitely get it if not round 1
@@tarini.padmanabhuni Thanks di Hoping to meet someone like you in the campus. Thora introvert hu 😅 but will try my best . Also I don't had a PC/laptop till now and I'm going to buy it for studies. I don't know p about programming, how to cope with this. Since I will be paying the fees, I don't think I will get the laptop by end of June
Kya CPS ke students software related tech job roles ke liye eligible hai? 1st batch abhi tak paasout nahi hua hai lekin internships ke data ke according bta sakte ho...?
@@tarini.padmanabhuni can you tell me what's the preference order should I fill for counselling: ECE, VLSI, EEE or CPS. I'm not getting cse at my rank in main campus. PS: I want to get into software related fields.
I had scored average mark in met exam but,due to consideration of boards marks as well my rank is not good (around 30k) is it worth to take core branch in manipal main campus …cuz I will not be getting a good branch in Bangalore campus itself
Hello di can you please tell me how the CSFT Branch is and how are the opportunities in this branch I’m likely gonna take it (is it better than it and dse)
Both are new branches Only way to tell about each is to look at the curriculum and then decide Dse is older branch Both have different strengths, take a look at the course curricula and take an informed decision

hey hi even i got the same rank and was wondering about it.........
Hi Tarini di i got 6k rank and definitely going in main campus which block is best for an amazing hostel life and appreciate your efforts for making this vedio and would love to get your reply

Hi Tarini ...my son has taken admission in CPS 2024....which core branch it comes under and what are its future prospect..?
Hi
it comes under the "instrumentation and control" dept.
You will not have to pay again afaik, during our batch, ask admin for proper clarification, for updated rules.
sis i got 3435 rank in 1st round i got mit bnglr cse core in round 3 should i keep another branches in mit manipal cce or it and pls explain about scholar schoarship
i have a similar query. i have the option bewteen IT and CCE, and your inputs were very helpful, but im not sure what i want to higher study later and have looked through the curriculum for both its quite similar except for the networking part in cce. i dont have a specific interest so im fine with either so which should i take for better quality course, placement, etc. i know its subjective but which do you and the other seniors think i should take 😭 thankyou
Both should be fine tbh
CCE is known to have slightly better placements. But tbh both are equivalent
@@tarini.padmanabhuni ok then, thanks so much for replying!
Is data structure algorithms taught in cyber physical systems?
Yes, in sem 3
Between computer and communication eng and mathematics &computing which should be given first preference
CCE is old and established and comes under ICT dept.
MnC is new, take that into consideration
Is what I would suggest, but please do your research and take an informed decision based on what you like.
Ma'am..what will be the tentative date to start new session?
I got 4700 rank..expected branch in manipal campus..please respond
Changes every year. You can check last years allotment online and try to understand better.
i got 24.5 k in MET. will i get mechatronics in main campus
same nigga...hopefully we both get
You can check past year rank vs allotment and see
Hello, my rank is 12k and by seeing previous year cutt off i am getting VLSI in manipal and ece in Bangalore.
@@vatsaljindal2735 how much would i need to change to ece.. im currently only getting eee.
Hey Tarini, looked at your vdo on MIT, a quick genuine question, my son's rank is 33k , as per this year's rank range, he might get chemical or industrial engineering, what are the chances we take it and then try to upgrade in spot round?? Pls advise.
i would say don't bank on it, only go for it if you are 100% positive
What about eni and cps
As its new branch but its course and scope seems interesting
Idk about eni but frm job pov its seems better than cps in current scenario
What will be your take !
you may be right, but cps i feel is more relevant; you can do your research accordingly and go ahead, curriculu wise(imo) cps is better.
Hi, How is the Data Science & Engineering branch at Manipal, Udupi campus? Is it a part of Computer Department or is it a separate department? How are placement opportunities in DSE at Manipal?

Could you or vatsal answer whether in vlsi how much tech(cs)related stuff is there?
Thank you
VLSI has various prospects - Physical Hardware design, Digital design, hardware testing etc. A lot of software tools are used in the digital VLSI design, these include scripting in languages like Verilog, SystemVerilog etc. Apart from this, ML in VLSI is another field that may interest you which includes implementation of Machine Learning techniques for automation of VLSI design.

hi tarini di i have 27xx rank so i have filled the preference order as 1 cs 2 csai what should be third branch which has the best placements after cs and csai please tell
People usually opt for IT, CCE or DSE
My daughter is getting cps at mit manipal and IT at a state govt college (goa engineering college)... Also she might get eni at mit manipal in the next round of counseling...so..what do u think we should prefer?? And what are your thoughts on placements in cps?
CPS is a new branch
So placement stats are yet to be known
However if your daughter is interested in electronics
CPS or ENI in mit is a good option.
If not, it would be preferable to go for a cs branch.
@@tarini.padmanabhuni Thank you
Does students of data science engineering sent to other campus for some semester
No
I am getting eee in mit manipalor ece/ecm in mit bangalore which one should i choose ??
ECE involves communication networks
Eee is more circuits based
Proceed accordingly
You may want to consider 2nd and 3rd round sliding too
Bro obviously u should choose ece in blr campus. Ece is an evergreen branch. It will help u on campus as well offcampus placements with good package. Blr campus is better for internships and placement opportunities.
Mam mit blr cse vs manipal cps, what should i choose in your opinion
obv manipal
Look at both curricula
If you want the main campus life, in manipal
You can choose it
Placement wise, Cse is more preferable, but it’s up to you
Is it so that students of data science and engineering student have to go to sikkim campus for 1 or 2 semester?
No, all the 8 semesters are in main MIT campus only

Cse in manipal is comparable to other top private colleges.
There’s good faculty, knowledgeable

Does mechatronics students can sit for cse placements ?

Hi tarini di
Firstly appreciating you for your efforts and loved the session.
1. No clue myself bro, changes every year, can give a rough estimate
2. Addressed in the video, + check the course curriculum in the website
3. Should be, hopefully by round 2 if not 3 you should definitely get it if not round 1
