I got that club set and it definitely saves alot of space and you can eventually get the heavy add-on kit. Also the long maces use the same weights that make everything super custom.
Mark Wildman thank you so much, got my little home gym all set up with clubs and learning the moves in anticipation, just looking forward to learning the programming now.
I just got the Ad-On kit too which goes up to 50 lb even more depending if you put it on the Mace or ARC handle. They also make a thicker handle now 1.25in or 31.75mm for all their products. Original thickness of all their handles 25 mm.
I've got an entire set of mace clubs and arc with the add on. They are awesome! They also do a 1.25 plate. Great products and Donnie is an awesome guy to deal with. Highly recommend!
On the threads, it is normal to fear "this isnt threaded enough", but normally companies calculate thread engagement. Probably Adex can reply easily. Thanks for the content!
Howdy Kauer - the two 1.25lb weights are accessory items and are NOT part of the Adex Club Kit. I should have enclosed a note to alert Mark to this, my fumble. The threadsets are designed to safely accommodate the full compliment of weights that each kit comes with. It does state in the instructions that the kit should not be loaded with more than the provided weights unless using the Ad-On Kit (to go to 45lbs) which includes a much longer threadset to ensure safety.
I watched your video on clubbin'...I then bought the Onnit 10lb club. I like it, but i need more now. I may go for this one because of the smaller weight jumps. Construction jacked up my hands and wrists. Kettleclubs are fixing them. Thank you Mr. Wildman.
Looking forward to getting a pair of these clubs. I currently have been teaching myself mace work using sledgehammers in different weights. It has had the most reliable improvement on my lower back stability. I’ve been at it for a few years but recently found your channel and am working my way through your mace series and it’s like I’m learning it all over again and it’s awesome. I can see that clubs will also be fun. Thank you for sharing your knowledge in a way even my simpleton mind can follow without talking down to your audience.
Adex is great and the owner Don G Is awesome ! I have the clubs and mace. Great adjustments for clubs especially. . ams I believe they are able to be added to
Agatsu out of Canada sells a 30lb club. It is shorter than a 25lb tacfit club and the handle is a smaller diameter. It still swings slightly heavier than the 25lb tacfit though.
Adex maces are amazing! Adjustable and just move so well! I need to get the Adex clubs! They do have a package they sell that adds weight around what you have so it won’t make it longer.
An interesting and substantial looking club set. Probably a bit more then I need at this point. I'd really like to see some beginner move sets to build a progressive program utilizing your wonderful nerd-math system. Thanks. (stay warm up there!)
Do you have any problem like rattle, unscrewing ? I am thinking to buy the big deal before a set of regular steel mace, however adex is a little bit pricey !
Hey Mark - your videos are some of the best I have seen anywhere! Question: if one has a whole set of kettle bells, do you recommend also training mace and clubs or just one or the other? Appreciate your thoughts (as I try to reduce cost but maximize benefits).
I know how you feel which is why I buy both kilogram clubs and Freedom Unit clubs. JulyBody has nice change plates for all kinds of bells to add 1.25&2.5lbs. Never tried them on my clubs
Hey Mark , Adex doesn't put grease on the surface of the handle. When you unpacked the club Handle and you untreated the screw thread you grabbed the threading with your hand..... Adex puts some lube on the threads so it screws and unscrews better. When you own Adex you just put a little Vaseline on the threads to take care of your equipment.
Andddd here's the Adex you were talking about the other day haha. Btw, what jacket is that, is it warm? And I know you enjoy barefoot/minimalist footwear, but since it's getting colder what are you wearing? Minimalist wise I could only find the Xero alpine that was a decent zero drop winter boots. Cheers
I'm curious in terms of the lever arm length, if you loaded the heavier segments at the top, how much difference does that make? Love the content mate, cheers.
Hi Mark, Onnit is all sold out and the original clubbells in amazon are sold out as well. Do you have any other recommendations that are budget-friendly?
30 pound and even higher weights in clubs are very common in india local akhadas have a lot of them any local rural people even know how to make the you just have to contact in local market
Mark wildman. Do you often hear complaints from people regarding hand muscle pain and cramping when using clubs and maces? I recently found your channel and bought 2 15lb steel clubs (I had a 35 lber in my cart initially.. yeah right!). Holding and controlling them with my hands while doing the exercises is brutal. I tried doing your 2 club snatch exercise (hold both clubs 90 degrees, swing them behind you as you squat, bring them back to 90, put over your shoulder behind your back, back to 90) and could barely do 10 reps due to serious hand muscle “pump”, discomfort, and fatigue. The other aspects of that specific drill are no problem. It is surprising to me because I’ve been lifting weights for almost 2 decades. I regularly do farmers walks up and down stairs with heavy dumbbells, I can do near 30 pullups, I could probably kB swing a 62 lber for 75 reps. No idea why clubs are so hard on my hands. It is nearly identical to the sensation of writing by hand for a long period, where there is cramping and muscular pain. But this after only a dozen reps with clubs! I suppose I just need to keep practicing and they’ll get stronger. Wonder if youve heard other people with this experience ?
Keep practicing and your hands will become more efficient. Weight lifters have great crush grip strength, but because their training is less about efficiency (smaller sets, lower reps etc) they have discomfort when moving to efficiency skills. You will start to use different parts of the hand in different parts of the movement as the apparatus moves.... basically... short answer. You get use to it.
Thanks for this (and all your instructional videos). Been working on a basic KB Tetris program for a little while. Really appreciate how you share your programing experience. Tracking progress gives me a rabbit to chase, which I think I was always missing with "follow along work out videos" I'd tried from other channels before. Ordered these with your link above. Hope that helps you since I wouldn't have gotten these without watching your content first. Looking forward to swinging these around a bit and learning some new skills.
I've got one! It's awesome for all sorts of different reasons. I like loading it up for heavier 360s or 10 to 2s or using it for some of the movements that are hard to do with mace due to its length.
how much ? buy sledge hammers ,they are 1/4 of the prize you have a wood ,hickory shaft ,much better then a steel tube ,which feels bad and is cold in the winter and with the hammer head you can put heavy chain in a figure 8 around the head and zip tie it on . money ! and now Uncle joe you all be poor
Thanks for the recommendation! I have an old sledge hammer which I have been using to try out some of Mark’s moves. Fries my hands every time. Not a lot of cash to burn over here and I workout outdoors due to money, time constraints, and COVID.

@mark wildman no need for a longer screw. Just make the weights in a bigger diameter. It's a slick tool but I find it a bit pricey.
