I have the habit of going and checking on things when someone is screaming and being my phone to call 911. Kids like to run around and scream bloody murder at night in my area, and it really pisses me off. Like, don’t scream like that if you’re not dying. I still check tho because I don’t want to ignore it one day at the wrong time.

The "kidnapped" woman appearing at 14:00 was arrested for burglary. That car she ran towards was the getaway car driven by her accomplices. She was using the pretense of a "kidnapping" to get people to answer the door so they could gain entry to homes. You can find her mugshot in other similar videos.
Hope the kidnapped woman in the car is at least alive and isn't tortured. Strange why so few people are commenting on that, that was the most disturbing thing in the video.

"is your mom here?" he waited at the door. I don't remember what happened after that, he didn't come inside. however, after my mom closed and locked the door, I got yelled at for opening the door to a stranger who could've killed us.

@@bzljazbla The woman did call the cops, that clip is only a portion of the full video which she did ran outside and after hearing what was happening she called the cops as she got her husband to chase after the car but he quickly lost it. I think due to how quick everything was going and how dark they couldn’t get a license plate just a general description of the car, man, and woman. This video is 4 years old now and the story is 2 doors down from the woman in the red towel house, a car pulled up on a woman and a man immediately jumped out and grabbed her. The woman try to run but the man got her from the back of her head and hair and pulled her into the car, a neighbor who watched the whole incident happened (and while calling the cops) said the man even was saying/yelling “I’m sorry!” As he grabbed and push the woman. After he managed to get her in his car he immediately jumped back in and sped off as the woman kept screaming for help. Like in the video to this day no one knows who’s the woman is or her kidnapper, and she hasn’t been found and there been no updates to the case since. I think insider edition and several other news outlets have the full video and interviews with neighbors.
To be fair, the bear in the video was a black bear, which most likely would've backed off if he put up a fight. Still dangerous, but usually less dangerous than a dog attack

I've got a funny story for you. On TH-cam I once saw the video of a girl practicing yoga. Behind her you can see a window giving on her balcony. A guy from a nearby appartment had climbed between balconies and reached hers. He was there, on HER balcony, watching her. She eventually notices him, makes him get in then get out from the entrance. That, and there is the story of the weird dude in that video. Appartments aren't that much safer, I'm afraid ^^'.

Concerning the bear encounter, grizzly and brown bears cam be VERY dangerous but he was dealing with a black bear, which aren't incapable of doing harm but a species of bear you could realistically push away. Black bears are smaller, more skiddish, and aren't generally predators to humans.
I have a rule in my house, no answering the door after 7:30 pm unless I know someone is coming over or if it’s my grandma, and many times I’ve been glad I have that rule in place, love ya ring door camera

In the other hand, Ive seen cases of street stabbing and bystanders went to grab random long objects so they could hit the attacker with. I live in an apartment complex and I have heard a woman screaming twice now (several months apart). She's always screaming "Help me please" and "Stop it!" but the reality is she's just having a mental breakdown and the boyfriend is trying to calm her down, and then when the cops get involved she carries on shouting the same stuff so it is quite possible that woman at 15:35 was fine in terms of her safety but otherwise yeah, she was just going crazy and the person driving saying "I'm sorry" was just trying to calm her down, it could have literally just been a lovers quarrel getting way out of hand, which is what has happened twice over by me. We can all hope this is true anyway.

Your parents would have probably laughed and told you to go to bed. But the messed-up thing is, that is reality. That happens to people. It's really sad.
The one where the two guys were trying to pose as CPD, the guy DID call the cops. The two guys ran when they could hear the sirens. The cops got to the house about a 1-2 minutes after the guys were gone. (It was on a PD TH-cam a while ago)

Concerning the bear encounter, grizzly and brown bears cam be VERY dangerous but he was dealing with a black bear, which aren't incapable of doing harm but a species of bear you could realistically push away. Black bears are smaller, more skiddish, and aren't generally predators to humans.

I have a rule in my house, no answering the door after 7:30 pm unless I know someone is coming over or if it’s my grandma, and many times I’ve been glad I have that rule in place, love ya ring door camera

I cant believe the one at 16:00 eith the girl screaming for help has no explanation. People just fucking stood there. I don't know... knowing you could have done something but didn't is haunting. As a young woman myself, I would've grabbed the bat by my door and ran in the direction ... my gut reaction is to fight. And in a situation that feels like life or death - whether it's me or someone else's survival - I just do what my gut tells me to. Coming across this clip several years after its passing is so disturbing; when the person stood on the porch - didnt even go for a phone to call 911, just tightened the robe a little? That's insane to me. My body, knowing that I'm just watching something/not involved, still had a bizarre reaction to hearing her screams and watching someone stand still. Chills were literally everywhere ... because my body knew it couldn't fight, so it just froze. I want to say I hope she was okay, lived through it, and has the opportunity to heal. I forget what the exact time was but it was way past midnight in the dead of night. I heard a car driving extremely fast through my neighborhood (which was weird because we had speed bumps and the sound of the car sounded way too fast for speed bumps). And I heard a woman screaming from the car "help me im being kidnapped" at the top of her lungs. I was...maybe...16 or 17 at the time? Just in bed and scrolling away at my phone. I also live in LA, not in the city, more in the suburbs. I wasn't really sure what to make of it cause I was just in shock and doubtful of what just happened. And the car was already long gone by the time I figured I should've gone and get help. Just seeing this clip reminded me of that. I'm just hoping that whatever I heard wasn't actually real and it was just a sick prank.

In the other hand, Ive seen cases of street stabbing and bystanders went to grab random long objects so they could hit the attacker with. If everyone on this street went after the car, the chance of saving the girl is pretty high, the most dumbest thing to do here is to just stare and observe and not doing anything. The only reason to not approach and do something is when there is a firearm, which I doubt it was, because then no one would just stay outside at their porch staring. bruh. when I was 7, i was walking with my mom down the street in the middle of bright clear DAY, in a town centre, the street was crowded with people. We were going home from a trip, and my mom held suitcases. Randomly some man appeared behind us, he was young and skinny, he started screaming at us, and my mom whispered to me "sweetie, run home" and so I did, and the man started to chase me. I was crying and screaming for help as I run through the people, yet no ONE even brothered to look at our direction, as if it was not their problem, which I suppose wasn't.. I don't know if the race was a problem here, since i was black and the man was white... but because of that it was clear that he was not my father and we weren't just playing around, I, the 7 year old, was screaming tears, and no one helped a CHILD. For a few ten meters he stopped chasing me slowing down, I manage to get home safe. My mom was safe also, as it was obvious she wasn't the man's target, he ignored her and my mom manage to call the cops on him. @@HyperNova808

I live in an apartment complex and I have heard a woman screaming twice now (several months apart). She's always screaming "Help me please" and "Stop it!" but the reality is she's just having a mental breakdown and the boyfriend is trying to calm her down, and then when the cops get involved she carries on shouting the same stuff so it is quite possible that woman at 15:35 was fine in terms of her safety but otherwise yeah, she was just going crazy and the person driving saying "I'm sorry" was just trying to calm her down, it could have literally just been a lovers quarrel getting way out of hand, which is what has happened twice over by me.
We can all hope this is true anyway.

The one where the two guys were trying to pose as CPD, the guy DID call the cops. The two guys ran when they could hear the sirens. The cops got to the house about a 1-2 minutes after the guys were gone. (It was on a PD TH-cam a while ago)

The last one is the only one that happened because of the camera. The rest, it's reasonable to say were prevented because of the camera, except for a few where either nothing happened or it went bad anyways. Overall I'd call it a net positive.
