I'm in my 40s and this drama was way before my time, but it's like a time capsule! Not only do radio dramas feed my imagination, they put me into a place I could never physically have been! So wonderful!!!😊💚

Good episode, but I wasn't surprised by the ending. He gave up the ending in that first scene with Lois. I mean it's not called, "The Long Wait" for nothing.
There must have been a problem with the transfer to tape. The higher pitch and faster pace of speech indicates that the audio has been unintentionally sped up.
thisisnotausername I know. It's the only one I've had this problem with. My (lame) audio apps only improved it a little. But it's still better than a couple of years ago. The story is so good I had to post it regardless.
I had a bit of luck with changing the speed to 0.92 on VLC and choosing the full treble EQ setting (which compensates a little for the change of pitch resulting from the slowdown).

The end was too short. She should have begged for her life.
He didn't give her time. At the height of happiness, he snuffed her.
Why did he talk so fast?!.. I only understood about half of what he said...it was weird....
