Thanks Karen that lesson was very helpful like you say playing or practicing there is a big different - I really need to know how to practice. I do have all of your books and you do have lots of good info in all of them
It's the case here too, I don't have a face-to-face teacher. I have just started learning piano for the first time (at 65), music of any kind actually, but I am learning a lot from very expert musicians here on youtube.
Charmian, you are not alone in getting a late start, I started taking organ lesson's at 62. I have the good fortune to take group lesson's from three very talanted teacher's through the store that I bought my organ from. We also use EZ play book's from Hal Leonard they work well for learning. Good luck have fun and practice as much as you can..kevlutu

Charmian, It is great to be among people of my own age and intrests in common lesson's are one each week and there are many other activities ( parties ) etc. each month as well as workshops for each level of learning. My teacher's are " retired " from the MacPhail center for Music In Minneapolis, Mn. 25 or more year's experiance . God Bless You. kevlutu
