when you use the union circle to make sandwiches, 1, are you doing the thing where you quit your game on your violet account to save herbas or do you just have a bunch of them? and 2, do you need more than one account on your switches with nintendo online or are you able to do it just by being in the same house offline?
You can do it offline locally and if you close out the second switch, it never uses up the ingrediants it contributes. I have a guide on my channel if you have any other questions!
