And if English is not his language, what then? People can be so picky over the littlest thing. Instead of focusing on that, how about focusing on his talent and saying something positive about it?
I love the dark colors in your local rocks. Have you ever used coring bits to make drink coasters? I was thinking you (me lol) could use like a 100mm coring bit then slice them into whatever thickness? I think they would look pretty cool and be rather unique. Thanks for another great video!!
@@crossgrainwoodproductsltd9230 Hi, I was thinking a deeper coring bit and then use a diamond blade to slice them off. I'm working on a sink now but winter is here in Alaska so don't know when I'll get back to it unless we get a nice weather window and that doesn't happen too often lol. I found three boulders to make sinks, going to put one in the bathroom. I've been wanting to do this for a couple of years now, just finally got around to it. And yeah, it's messy lol...
You deserve my subscription! So beautiful. I love that you polished just the inside and left the rest of the stone natural. I do woodworking myself and that can get very messy and dusty, but not as bad as stone dust. I'm so glad to see that you wear the proper masks, ear protection, and gloves while working. I would love to add stonework to my hobbies of woodworking and metalworking and I look forward to watching your videos. What country are you from? I am in the US. Thank you for sharing your talent with us!!
Thank you so much for such kind words. I will definitely record more detailed videos about how and what to do, as well as what to pay attention to. I am originally from Ukraine.
This was a great find and beautiful job. Do you think it’s granite? As a potter I’m curious what type of flexible grinding/polishing tools/attachments/paste you use. 13:33
I use diamond disks for smoothing the feet of functional pots. I use porcelain clay, and when polished, the unglazed feet feel like butter! I’m interested in using the method on some sculptural pieces where I would need flexible sanding/grinding.
Just to find a rock, make something out of it. And theres the possibility your work piece may be around in perpituity. I find this appealing. Eons from now, your artifact is found and discoverers are baffled. And your pieces are signed, leaving a digital trail. I find the work somehow zen also. Very nice my friend.
I used to work in an IT company and realized it wasn’t for me. I’ve always wanted to leave a mark and found myself in this kind of creativity. Thank you so much; feedback like this is truly inspiring!
Agreed, especially that he signed the piece by sand blasting it in. There really is something very relaxing watching someone create something of beauty out of an ordinary stone.
I have made all sorts of things out of wood with WoodPrix plans. Sheds, garage doors, chairs, tables, etc. I've even made a fence and raised beds with these plans. They even have plans like bird feeders there. The selection is overwhelming
I really admire the way you carved out the bowl. You didn’t impose a circle, you followed the lines of the stone. It’s elegant. 💕❤💕
Thank you very much. I always try to consider the shape of the stone - the stone itself suggests what to do with it
Absolutely excellent, your work is very inspiring

Thank you so much! I actually have a coring bit like that, so I'll definitely give it a try and make a video about it. Thanks for the idea!
That is a cool idea. How would you get a flat slice though? A specialized bandsaw?

Maybe it's a plate from outer space!
There are lots of stars in the stone 🌌
Stone grilled meat 🥩or🐟️
You planted your flag in the universe😊
Perhaps it's a plate from space, and now you can cook fried meat for aliens! 🌌🍖

Very nice work my friend
Thanks for the visit
If you use a Shop vacuum with a hood to catch the dust From cutting It really helped with clean up.
I tried, but unfortunately, the dust still flies in all directions.
Love it
@@WillySquishum Thanks

Thank you for sharing that! I love learning about different artisans and their crafts. It's fascinating to see how creativity is expressed worldwide!
What was the 1st disk you used?
Diamond disc for stone
@Ringstone-Handmade thanks. I thought it could be some kind of special flattening disk

Thank you very much. Yes, it was granite, specifically diabase. I use regular diamond discs and paste. Are you sure you need such tools for ceramics?

I should also add my diamond disks are rigid. That’s why I was asking about yours.
That stone was an integral part of an anti-erosion barrier. Is that what we can expect from artificial intelligence? 🤪
who knows.

Is this dishwasher/microwave safe?
Yes, it can be put in the dishwasher and used in the microwave.
I’d love you to make a tall vase and then a seperate single stem of milo to set inside the vase.
I'll try it sometime

You might try tumbling and polishing some of those squarish pieces you cut out. Could be a market there.
Thank you for the idea.
Complain to TH-cam. Did NOT RECOMMEND!
Ok 👌
If you use a proper water-grinder, there is no dust, less mess & polishes far quicker.
I've had different tools and different techniques, this one is the most optimal, thank you.
Nice! Is it dishwasher safe? 😂😂😉
It is dishwasher safe.
Nice looking piece…
But, for me, there’s always something uninspired when power tools are employed.
Thank you, but it can't be done any other way.

This is very interesting, thank you. I will look for similar approaches adapted to my field.
