I mean apart from the "verbal knockdown from his pizza shop boss" part... The rest were ammusing and would've only make the film more humourous! Or the film would've had more funny parts!

Back in the day you had to be a certain length to get the greenlight from studios. Nowadays you have much more flexibility

It’s a pacing problem. They wanted it to be fast paced. These scenes made it more like a slower build comedy.
