What a special and stunning place. These videos have been truly special! It’s such a raw perspective and something that few will ever experience in person. Thank You So Much for sharing.
Great video as always mate! I’ve always wondered about mud ponds and if there was a way to recreate that environment over here in the uk? Clearly what ever is happening in them the koi respond really well to
If you have clay you could recreate it but the heat is one of the harder parts to establish and you won't do it without having the pond in a large greenhouse.
Interesting, that’s definitely got the cogs turning! 😆 thanks for getting back to me. Are there other things in the ponds that they eat apart from the bugs on the surface and the pellets?
Nothing better than taking yourself off to relax and explore, even better for me in the Sun. Looks amazing, the journal will be great for you too to look back on. It's one of the main reasons I have a TH-cam channel. The green water obviously signifies some healthy nutrients in the water, many would oddly quote its unhealthy compared to the other 2 you shown which was clearer but far less nutrient rich. Never been to Japan and would love to meet Ricky and join one year, we'd get on like a house on fire, but I get the same feeling you describe when a koi breaks surface in murky water showing its true self. The colours and skin just pop and show in a whole new light, literally. That's why I sometimes don't mind adding clay or if the pond isn't gin clear, I enjoy that time. Thanks Keith
You're right about the confusion with the green water and I agree it will be good to look back on. I'd recommend a trip for any koi keeper if it's possible.

Hi Ricky
What brand of food does the breeder use?
Depends on the the breeder and level of koi in the pond. These guys use a Japanese brand called Marubeni and Saki Hikari.
@@Ricky_Stoddart_Koi Are they mixing the two or using them in different parts of the growing season
Loved your video hope you do some more of the same
More to come!
