also, i do love the fact that the heat rod isn't just some flimsy thing you put together that would just be there hanging around. It actually looks and seems to work really well
@GNSquacker The EW designs are a retcon. They're different representations for the exact same machines as we saw in the TV series. As an example: at the end of the TV series, after the fight with Epyon, Zero shoots down Libra. At the beginning of EW we see that battle - but with the EW versions of the Gundams. EW machines fighting Virgos, and EW Zero shooting down Libra. It's natural for EW machines to be among EW machines, especially if that means you can cross-promote MG kits. :)
If anything you can lock tight glue the connection piece to the action base to prevent any disconnections. I myself plan to do that when I get an action base. Cause he looks sooooooo much better on one. He was made for an action base. To flare out all his new MG parts.
If you have trouble mounting the Epyon on the action base, I would suggest using the included universal double-U brackets that come with the action bases. They clip into the leg joints on both sides underneath and offer AMAZING stability to get some crazy poses off that you can't otherwise with the dinky little action base connector that comes with the actual Epyon kit.
@RbtV92 Nope, not always. For the most part the newer kits do, except for the ones that are smaller in size. The Wing kits and Victory/V-Dash do not. Up until around the time the Zeta and MKII 2.0 came out, IIRC, the only ones that had individual articulation were stuff like the Dom, Rick-Dom, and weird stuff like the aquatic suits. There's a few others, but as I don't own every MG (yet - 20 to go!) I'm not sure. After that, not having individual articulation was pretty rare.
@gruzergrub5000 It's the ver ka version being used in the new Gundam Wing manga, forgot to mention that the manga is being called Gundam Wing Endless Waltz Glory of the Defeated
It's similar to on the MG Unicorn, that clip just will not hold onto him, he is way to heavy for it. So I use the default connector that came with the action base.
I just started building models and i bought a couple of models and i want an action base for them and i don't know were or how to get them, can you tell were you get yours? thanks
i love this kit but i'm not so fond of the new wing design i totally take this back, upon seeing them side by side the mg takes out the hg, hands down, the wings are way better on this kit
thanks for the review, not a big fan of the epyon though, i really like the head though for some reason. prolly end up picking it up anyway to start completing the ew series
why does the title have EW in it? epyon wasnt in endless waltz if thats what your EW means, lol. i do like this MG, the old kits left a bad taste in my mouth, especially once i started getting newer kits after i moved on outside of the wing series. i have the wing gundam MG, if W. Zero comes out at some point, i may have to get it
Rroobbert, mine has fallen off so many times..... I don't like these new connectors. The best one I've ever gotten was the one that attaches to the backpack of my MG Infinite Justice.
WebHeadGabe117 this really is a great kit, but anyone whos been into these for awhile will always tell a beginner dont start with a master grade like this. get a few high grades first to get a little experience under your belt. trust me, you wont regret it.
I don't really know why but I like it when I hear those clicking sounds while connecting the parts. It makes the firmness of joints more reassuring
also, i do love the fact that the heat rod isn't just some flimsy thing you put together that would just be there hanging around. It actually looks and seems to work really well

Just ordered epyon, first gundam kit since like 1999. Can't wait to get back into it

@PokePokeStab No. He uses touch up markers. He uses spray paint cans if needed to cover or change anything else.
@gruzergrub5000 It's the ver ka version being used in the new Gundam Wing manga, forgot to mention that the manga is being called Gundam Wing Endless Waltz Glory of the Defeated
@GNSquacker
In the manga "Glory of the Defeated" and the Novel "Frozen Teardrop" the WZC is the Wing Zero from the TV series.
oh man, return of the HG wing gundam effect parts.
SO GOOD.
For the super large weapons you forgot the 00Q's combined GN Buster Sword. It's utterly massive, right along with Zeta's beam launcher.
@JunoUnit I did, but that was the transformable Wing Zero...
I never saw Wing Zero Custom duke it out in the tv series, nor the endless waltz movie
@AgitoTwinks
i dont know (or care) about Frozen Teardrop, but the manga series is using Katoki's new designs, not Okawara's old ones.
It's similar to on the MG Unicorn, that clip just will not hold onto him, he is way to heavy for it. So I use the default connector that came with the action base.
You've put me on the fence, Robert... If I think of it as "Char's Gundam" I'll probably budge on it.
Hey robbert... You can twist the sword from the handle...so it doesn't matter if the manipulator only faces 1 side
I am totaly in love with this kit! I need to get one!
@gruzergrub5000 It's separate from Ver. Ka because it's part of a redesign set that's themed for Endless Waltz's retconned designs.
Ah the snapping sound, so satisfying!
I want a HGAC Epyon...
I put mine on the action base with the pose with the Beam Sword high up in the air before Zechs took out Fortress Barge
A much more elaborate design, a longer and thicker heat rod, and the "heads" in its MA mode have functional mouths.
@GAMERCENTER23 the best backpack holder was with mg Infinite Justice....wish they did the same with epyon
@gruzergrub5000 It's the ver ka version being used in the new Gundam Wing manga
Basically whole weight issue was expected. After all those wings are so large compared to body of MG Epyon.
try some glue that comes with a brush and brush it over the sides and hold them together thats what I did
@GundamLegacyExtreme If they make a Talgeese III, I'll expect a MG Talgeese I and II since they all share the same frame.
@statszero1
this one was from one of the EW Mangas, look up frozen tear drop
is the epyon from EW?.. coz in the endless waltz all the gundams there are custom.. and i didnt recall seeing epyon there on the first place..
I just started building models and i bought a couple of models and i want an action base for them and i don't know were or how to get them, can you tell were you get yours? thanks
@acicon No you can use it for 1/100
i have the epyon but i never had a problem with the wings
can you poss the epyon in the position he was revealed to heero in,in the anime?
@VoyeurTheNinja where did you find them for that price? cause you got overcharged by like 100%
This looks better than the Epyon from the anime.
@Kefkaownsall isn't the action base 3 for High Grades?
Why is WZC in the background of the box art
I know it's the "EW" version but still...
Am I missing something here?
Is Deathscythe Hell's wings compatible to the back of the epyon?
dude, this makes me want to just take a day off of work and spend it making the kit!
@GNSquacker It has something to do with the new novel that came out.
@MegaErvin18 true, but when the backpacks work, they dont look epic
Little question, Rob: where'd you get the snazzy Char's Zaku mask lol
@JunoUnit yeah this stuuf is pretty confusing to me haha
So awesome
Thanks for the great videos man!
@statszero1 Watch the first part. He explains it there.
i love this kit but i'm not so fond of the new wing design
i totally take this back, upon seeing them side by side the mg takes out the hg, hands down, the wings are way better on this kit
awesome ! damn ! now you make me wanna get him as well !
wonder when we're going to get a mg tallgease 1/2/3
this deathscythe hell and musha gundam are the kits i really want
Hi!
what gundam marker are did you use to fill in the cut marks? is it the regular red gundam mark or a different one? thanks!
That new action base connector piece looks useless for a kit that big and heavy
thanks for the review, not a big fan of the epyon though, i really like the head though for some reason. prolly end up picking it up anyway to start completing the ew series
The old version of epyon's center chest looks unique and better than the new version
can you transform epyon and wing zero into ship mode like in the show? you never did that with wing zero i don't think
the wing kinda remind me of mg destiny, big and massive and the wing can touch the ground.
I can't wait to build this
@AgitoTwinks ok, gotcha
I just finished this gundam. my issue is i cant get the tops of the wings to close/seal >.
@Akiraofthewind Technacly in a Random Model Shop in Brunei
I kinda regret buying Sinanju ver.ka over this Epyon was $110 while Sinanju ver.ka was $160 was it worth it?
I love this model kit and funny every time i see the Epyon on the bottom of the action base like it got it's butt kicked
It's BEAUTIFUL!!!
sweet! youtube is working again for me!
7:57
Red Frame- Excuse me? *takes out Tactical Arms* Come, again?
Can you make a video of MG Wing Gundam EW?
What is the difference between the TV version and the EW version?
rrobbert maybe next time also show it on an action base 3?
@zeipherx1 I felt the same way about MG Deathscythe Hell EW.
Does he use topcoat?
@migodealo but then wouldnt it just say ver ka?
So what is the difference of this version and the original anime
y not add the decals?
Deathscythe Hell's wings would be better for that.
To truly surpass the HG, mount a Char's Zaku head OR paint it Char's pinky red :)
dude the legs look cool
heat rod hols shape very well
It really looks like the Virsago Gundam.
I really does.
why does the title have EW in it? epyon wasnt in endless waltz if thats what your EW means, lol. i do like this MG, the old kits left a bad taste in my mouth, especially once i started getting newer kits after i moved on outside of the wing series. i have the wing gundam MG, if W. Zero comes out at some point, i may have to get it
You pulled off an amazing pose rrobbert.
dont master grades have individual articulation in the fingers?
Only some do.
@dragoon7575 try hlj.com or any local hobby stores
an angel vs the devil, very awesome.
Rroobbert, mine has fallen off so many times..... I don't like these new connectors. The best one I've ever gotten was the one that attaches to the backpack of my MG Infinite Justice.
I think that the wings are a little too big, if you ask me.
it's a little bulky on the leg part.. still a good kit :)
can't wait for tallgeese III XD
He kinda looks like a a samurai with all the armor on
How tall is it
I like. I really like...I'm drooling.
Do these kits just snap together or is glue required ?
For HG and MG kits the parts just snap on. However you can use glue for parts that tend to be a little slack.
Thanks , thinking of getting this for Christmas as I'm starting to get into gundam :D
WebHeadGabe117 this really is a great kit, but anyone whos been into these for awhile will always tell a beginner dont start with a master grade like this. get a few high grades first to get a little experience under your belt. trust me, you wont regret it.
Seth Rice
Thumbs up if there was a Gundam AD to the right of this video.
@CarlLewisC no way. well, i dunno, id prefer compilation movies, definitely wouldnt sit thru wing all over again.
i think the wings are actually a little too big.
Throw the old HG in MA mode through the window? Please? xD
Wow seeing them side by side the HG looks like a cheep knockoff compaired to the MG
Look at that wide so WIDE!
Love it but seems a bit like it will have problems staying in one piece
next time you throw something out the window, strap a firecracker to it :D
i love this kit but i'm not so fond of the new wing design
