Thanks for the correction. I know it seems silly, but it's really only something I've noticed people doing in the last few years. I don't get it. The mascot is the state bird. They don't say the Kentucky Wildcat, the Florida State Seminole, the Michigan Wolverine, etc. Hopefully bringing Stanford into the league will make this new trend go away. I'm looking forward to the Cardinals playing the Cardinal in various sports if for no other reason than to force the announcers who have been making this error to say it correctly.

No way in hell Louisville beats ND two years in a row and in South Bend you are crazy. I was worried about the game last season before it even started but this year ND will be ready and out for revenge and we will get it!!! And beating Georgia stop with the crazy talk not going to happen, just think about the Pitt game last year!!!

Big Louisville fan but this guys take was clueless. I’ll start with something completely irrelevant to Louisville. Saying that Brohm was underwhelming at Purdue is hilarious.
Now on to Louisville. Last years team slightly over achieved. Let’s be real, it is very likely that our team is better this year than last year and doesn’t reach 10 wins in the regular season. DE opposite of Gillotte is a HUGE concern. Reiger is likely out for the year and we have no proven commodity there, Green was also banged up in the spring.
Defense will be really good still. DT and secondary are a Legit strength and will be top 4 in the conference. The team is much longer and faster than last year. Offensively We need the WR room to step up and I think Lacy, Bell, and Brooks will do just that. I think most likely outcome is 9 wins. Obviously there is room to win 10+ but there is also a scenario where you win 7-8.
Now on to last seasons end is seasons woes. We didn’t not have many opt out of the bowl game… USC had a shit load. That’s why the staff prioritized speed in the portal, especially defensively. He mentioned not taking Kentucky seriously, that’s an absolute joke. We turned the ball over 3 times and gave up a KR touchdown lol, not to mention Kentucky had 0 penalties with an SEC officiating team even though the lead the SEC in penalties per game. Last piece on the end of the year, we were killed by injuries. Jawhar was hurt the back half of the year, Thrash had hand surgery, missed a game and was never the same after and no one stepped up to take up for his production. THATS why we fell apart. Also Plummer was just not very good.
Injuries on offense killed us in those last 3 games.
Plummer was servicable but not a great QB. His weaknesses were glaring in the losses.
Can Tyler Shough stay healthy for 11+ games? I wouldn't be surprised if Pierce took over the starting job at some point.
USC had alot big optouts in the bowl game to. Including QB. Louisville didn't look good will see
Last year the Louisville team was held together with shoe-strings. When the shoe-strings held together they could beat anybody. When the shoe-strings broke they couldn't beat anybody. Most of the year they held.
This years team will be BETTER OVERALL. But still 1 or 2 shoe-strings. So 12-0 is possible. But expect the shoe-strings to break at some point.
@@user-kn7ry8iz6xthey were not that good. A very weak schedule helped them get to the ACC championship. Other than that everyone seen what happens when they had to play any team with half decent talent. The ACC masks a lot of bad football players and people will learn that one day but apparently not today.

Yep, people better be afraid of the Louisville, especially JEFF BROHM. Y’all realize that Brohm pulled of some HUGE upsets when we was at Purdue. He BLEW OUT Ryan Day and Ohio State in 2018. He also beat No.2 Iowa in 2022, and also won against a top 3 Michigan State team in 2021. Jeff Brohm is known as the coach to pull off upsets, and he’s NOT playing around. GO CARDS
