i love the rebuild got same car with g500 engine swap it was g320 straight 6 engine and i swap it 2 g500 v8 engine i was looking for offroad wheels all over the net cant find any good looking 17 inchs wheels but i love yours where i can get the same wheels you got
Thank tou for the comment. These are Borbet CW 16x8 inch ET5. Unfortunately these are not in production for many years. They are very rare, you have to search the internet to find used, but it is not easy task.
There is no simple and one answer to your question. First of all I buy mostly new parts from my local Mercedes dealer by VIN number - this is always the first and best choice as it always fits and its new. Some of the parts are available as good replacements on the market, sometimes it is ok to buy used parts. When it comes to DIY manufacturing parts like additional fuel tank or skid plates I use local products like metal sheet plates etc. I cannot advise you also any model. It also depends what you need ? Is it going to be overlanding vehicle or off-road only or I dont know daily criuser ?
It again depends ;) If you plan to go very remote places with decent fuel quality and poor service, than go with older and simpler diesel G with mechanical IP like OM602, OM603, OM606. If you plan to travel through developed countries than all W461 CDI versions are ok.
