Which BASS is your favourite? 🤔
Davies
That black le fay should be called the Charles Bass! It’s so iconic!
Your LeFay D-Tuner.
LeFay D Tuner
The SquareBass
Charles has mastered the art of making his viewers sit through the ad.
You're completely right! He very well deserves it!
Literally the only ad I've sat through
I don't even remember being told about ad
There was an ad?
Oh my god I can’t stop watching
The tone on the LeFay D tuner is fantastic. So melodic.
Yep, that one wins followed closely by the fretless near the end
Everyone knows that the lefay d tuner is king
Guess that's why it's his main bass :p
@@Dreams_Of_Lavender Soon enough it'll be my main bass too
I agree, number 11 it was, best tone of the lot.
Every bass sounds great in your Hands!
Every sound basses great in his hands
Can't agree more 👍👍
Legendary
@@fedepia84 can't deny that
I am a Master Musician with a Doctorate.
Every single bass part and every bass that you play is absolutely outstanding.
You are what we call in the music business ,a fuckin anomaly,I can only dream of the master skills that you have.
I bow before you,out fuckin-standing!!!!!
Absolute virtuoso
I couldnt agree more. The bass at 1:18 is particularly beautiful
So, let me get this straight.... He just needs to practice some more and maybe one day he could join a garage band and play for free beer at partys.
Gotcha 👍👍
And don't forget the free nachos.
God Christ Jesus bless you all and have a wonderful day my family of music lovers
Man I hope you're sponsored by Schecter at this point lol. I love their basses and I feel like you rarely see them getting used by most other youtube bassists.
No.. Hes played by lefay, sponsored by schecter, and owned by bass presented to us
Schecter basses are legit nice, I've loved all the Stilettos I've played. Keen to get my hands on the new fan fret version.
I like that you can tell the order as the bass rack behind him shows the sequence of what guitar is going to be used next...
The biggest flex ever is to talk while you play. Absolutely mental.
This is quite interesting, so there are different kinds of basses with different sounds..
🙄
Man, Charles gets a superb tone out of every single bass in existence
The power of a great amp and EQ.
That Hellcat VI is such a trip. Looks like a guitar, pitched like a bass. 0:56
I always look forward to your new release and you never disappoint. I go back and rewatch several times. And when I need a slap fix it put TH-cam up on the big TV in the living room and turn up the volume. Members of the family stick their head in and say, "I that that guy?" And I say, "Yes it's Charles Berthoud." We all love it.
Your the best of all the best for me.. No one can compares sir charles... From PHILIPPINES
The last part, complex playing+talking is more fantastic than the former.
That Muckelroy fretless sounds incredible.
This is going into my gym playlist
Curious to know which one is your favourite, I feel like it has to be LeFay D-Tuner.
The LeFay has THE best tone, imho.
There's presumably a reason that we see it in video after video and it's the only bass with visible signs of wear from use...
It is
@@Steamrick
Yeah, that's what I was going to say. Obviously the one with the paint wearing off is either the fav or in the top 3. It sounds good too!
As a musician and a fresh water angler....I often get my basses confused....This guy clears things up nicely!
That Schecter SLS Elite-5 has exactly the bruised tone I love to hear from a bass. Thanks for the demo! Can’t wait to get my hands on one. Schecter should sponsor you.
BEST BASSIST IN HISTORY!
I have looked up all suggestions and even your suggestions on your inspirations Charles, but your sound is unmatched everywhere I look. You just manage to make it so melodical and clean in a way that I just cannot find anywhere else
This is just ridiculous 😍 charles good sir once again your skills astonish me .. thank you for what you do man your a true virtuoso
The fretless Muckelroy is very nice. Quite a collection you have!
I like how the Glarry Jazz has P-Style pickups. Puts a whole new spin on Jazz basses.
Love how the furniture seems to be organized around the basses 😂
You know a musician is great when he can make any instrument sound awesome
1:54, this moment is just , I don't have words
1:55
Man, I just love the melody en those last 4 basses. You're amazing. ❤️
I always thought there were patches and such in his DAW that modified the sounds. No, those basses all sound differently beautiful and have their place in different music types. This was really cool!!!
Awesome! Found your channel a few days ago, knowing absolutely nothing about bass, now I'm in love with this instrument!
Suggestions: Bad (Michael Tapson), Two Princes (Slap Doctors)
Need moar basses! Beautiful collection
Lefay D tuner is the best one. Such a great sound.
The black Lefay and the fretless bass both have amazing tones
The LeFay and the schecter 8 string interest me the most so far but I love them all... ok the LeFay piccolo was killer too and I really like the schecter studios
0:56 this 6 string bass sound is so cool, sounds almost like a... wait
Haaaa
Like a guitar

Kala U-Bass. Glad to see one in your hands. Can't wait to hear you play it.
If no one sends you Kala's hard-body "California Series" dressed up with metal roundwound strings I will. PM the address.

Lefay D-Tuner sounds amazing... but the Stiletto does too
The black LeFay is my favorite. Wear marks are sexy... and it sounds phenomenal.
I love square bass
Would've loved to see you playing a Zon bass with a graphite neck like Bill Gould of FNM plays or a Bassline Bass from Krefeld, Germany.
I liked the red one
I like how the Stileto 8 string has its strings laid out, very lovely instrument
Great to see the schecter getting some love. Currently saving for a stiletto extreme bass.
12 stiletto 8 string was amazing
I like the part where he called a precision bass a jazz bass
I really like those Schecter stilletto style basses, I have the 5 string fretless version of it. They're a bit pricey but they feel, play and sound really nice.
Charles you are so amazing, I know how hard you have worked to get here, even video to video! I truly appreciate your music, and will follow you to the end of my days!
Absolutely love the tone of the Bite. Very balanced. #10 is my second choice. Is balanced and has a very nice presence.
Have you ever tried a dingwall bass? They look very good.
You make Le-Fay sound as if from the heavens!!!!!!
Watching your videos I've gotten into bass, not too good at it but I'm learning. Pretty cool seeing you play...I only regret I didn't start when I was younger
This was fascinating. So cool to hear the different tones & strengths of each instrument. I can see why that d tuner seems to be your go-to. Its tone is so bright!
That skill share plug was the most impressive part of the video! Talking like your not doing anything else at all. Damn. That was sick.
Right?! Now that's how you do an ad
I love your compositions. Really excited for the rest of your career
Now I see why you play the LeFay on almost every video, that tone is so crisp but thick at the same time.
Lefay d is definitely your signature sound, it sounds great, the schecters sounded awesome too
Dude .... always a pleasure to see you play man😎
Dude, so much respect for you man. Your playing is godly and i love it. You should totally do a video on a 12 string octave bass guitar. that would be insane!
the 8 is pretty much the same...
Glarry Jazz Bass is correct?? It seems to be a Precision bass. Schecter Hellcat VI looks like a guitar even being a bass!! Didn't know!! Nice!!! Love the Stiletto 6-strings!!! I would love a 6-string bass with that Le Fay drop tuners. Stiletto 8-strings sounds very nice!!!
That's a lot of Schecters. My first bass was a Stiletto. Didn't know they made 8 string or fanned models, that's neat!
Best looking - #6 Need more vids on #7 & 12!
#11-Lefay d-tuner, but, you make them all sound incredible...another great vid Charles 🤘🏼😈🤘🏼
1:50 sick!!!
The videos where you take your time (like this one) to fully reprise and explore your musical motifs are my favorite and are your best, I think. Truly outstanding. More please! ;-)
Fan fret is such an amazing sound
The pizza box bass segment was perfectly timed as edited!
I’ve seen (and fast forwarded through) hundreds of TH-cam Skillshare ads, but not this one. Well done!
The Lefay d tuner picollo is the best bass of all
I do love its sound like alot
The LeFay bass is your signature one, both visually and in sound. They should definitely make one custom bass for you
Well, LeFay basses are pretty much all custom made. It's just two brothers in their workshop and they do this for a living ;) Other than that, I totally agree. Maybe a 5-String Remmington Steele with D-Tuners and then call it the "5er Pro CB special" ;)
I like the fretless Muckleroy cause it had smiley stickers on it :)
Would be interesting if you get your hands on peavey t-40 or g&l l2000.

Yeeeesssssss ☺️ I love this bass so much.
I'm excited for the next video. I just got myself a U Bass about 1 week ago.
Thanks Charles, I've spat my tea out when the Square Bass appeared suddenly :)
Omg that Schecter SLS is gorgeous!
I like the one that goes, bomp dang, bomp bomp, Chee Chee boooooomp dang.
That was my favorite of all time 🤘🤘
Extremely interesting to hear the difference between all these instruments
By the way, the solo was amazing !
This guy is really creative besides he plays the bassline very good!
Nice, very jam feeling from that one.
My favorite was definitely the 8 string I love the sound of it!
i thought you've given away those two schecter basses master charles? mind blowing🤯🤯
Getting the impression Bite basses are 👍 Great Video!
The Schechter SLS is sexy as F! Also, I realize you make the the majority of your content with the LeFay but I understand why. It has a sound that the others just dont match.
I agree, the tone of the SLS was outstanding, but I think I preferred that from his "usual" LeFay.
I liked the bit with the bass guitar.
Voçê é uma inspiração cara
Would really love to see you do a cover of Buckethead's bass solo track "Lake Whisperer" off the album "Feathers". I know you would kill it!!! Thanks for all your awesome work!!! Keep it up!!!
Amazing sound quality on these basses.
My life is complete now that I know 8-string basses exist.
Watch his superb 8 string bass solo:

Play Jon Gomm Passionflower with an acoustic bass.
Great! thank you for sharing!
0:16 that is a funky looking jazz bass
I'm Joking btw
10. Schecter SLS Elite-5 very cool 😎
But as already said
Every bass sound is great in your hands
Very nice 👍🏼 Thanks 🙏🏼🎶🎸🌈
Man,your videos are just insane!!!!!
Fine sounding collection of basses
Holy crap the multitasking at the end was incredible!
God, I love the piccolo bass
Hey Charles, awesome video! I've started to support you on Patreon. Love your tappings! I've considered buying Number 10 for a long time. The Schecter SLS Elite... Is it any good? :D
Now im blown away by your Editing
My favorite basses have been and I think will always be your two LeFay D-tuners. I was very glad to see your Soprano (red) bass in this video. I’m sure they are many levels better, but I’ve always liked my 1978 Rickenbacker 4001 I still have but rarely play. Two truss rods and just a very originally unique body design caught my attention. Then I learned how many other bassists I wanted to try and cover such as Chris Squire and Geddy Lee before he began changing things around as well as a few others including Paul McCartney during the Beatle years through Wings before deciding he’d prefer having a very light bass like his original Hofner to wear for gigs. It’s not like he knows all of those basses have a treble knob. LOL. And so you don’t think I’m prejudice…I like your 6 and feet less 5 basses as well for their looks and tone. I became a Tobias bassist of their ‘Killer-B series of basses. I have a 4-5-6 each with different body woods from Walnut to Swamp Ash. For my style of playing, they turned out to be incredibly versatile with all the covers I did and open jams I co-hosted. Ever try a non-production Tobias bass? Since you’re covering all these top 40 songs. How about Roundabout, Carry On My Wayward Son, or any others from the 1970s? I’m 60 y/o and love your channel. Any reason not to make us old farts happy too? Heck, how about some Alice In Chains, Kings X, or Soundgarden?? Beatles??? ELP?? Love most of their material. I’m really sick to death of that 7 army crap or whatever it’s called. Lucky for me, I had become disabled so I never had to cover it. Horrible enough I had to endure the song ‘Sail’. Your originals are wonderful and a sonic break from the garbage now passing as music. Keep that fire alive, please.
Just letting u know im learning the piece from slap university
Nice, good luck!
Same
That's Brady Muckelroy right? I'm friends with the guy. Absolutely amazing dude and bass player. It's awesome to see his basses put there. That'll have to be my favourite as I'm biased
