Nicki was really one of the BEST guest judges ever! You can tell she is a genuine fan of the show. And I like how she wasn't afraid to really say how she feels. Loved having her on. Only wish the other 7 girls could have got critiqued by her. I know thru used this format in season 6. But I didn't like it then and dont like it now. I like seeing all the queens meet eachother for their workroom entrances.
I will not lie, I do kind of like a split premiere where no one goes home cause it gives each queen at least TWO episodes. And we get a chance to get to know THEM and no one gets left under the rug. I love it

When I watched the 'Meeting The Queens' video, I actually wasn't that excited for this season, but 15 minutes in the first episode, I changed my mind, and when the queens did the musical number, I was ALL IN! And, welcome back fellas!

Omg I agree with the queens, I totally fell in love with Jackie... in fact her looks were my favourites, surpassing Nicki and Gigi, except for her entrance look. I honestly though don't have a clear favourite yet. Maybe Brita was a bit less likable for me compared to the other six, but I still liked her and I would have felt sad if she had left. Strong season

Ru did not give us one second to breathe or think, it was like bam intro, bam mini challenge, bam runway, bam maxi challenge, bam second runway, bam lip sync. Uhhhhhh, it was so good! That lip sync was everything! But also those girls should be quaking at the thought of going up against Heidi at some point....aaaaaaooooooollllll of them! LOL!

I'm so glad y'all are back! I know there was a double premiere in season 6 but I didn't like it then so I didn't care of it now but I think it was still a solid premiere. Nicki was such a great guest judge, she was respectful of the queens, she had fun, and she gave constructive criticism. Then again, I thought she was good on American Idol too. I try not to have preseason faves so I went into this premiere with no expectations. The queens that caught my interest from meet the queens aren't here yet but Heidi's personality won me over. I'm also looking out for Crystal. As for Jackie, she gives me Miz Cracker vibes. I think she's very much like that Miz Cracker or even Bob brand of NYC queens who do it all and have strong, witty cultural references.

I feel like in the next episode they’re probably gonna do something season 8 ep 1 inspired since they split the cast for the first time since season 6 ep 1, and in this episode they did the same mini challenge as season 7 ep 1
This is meant in the best way but this episode could have been titled the blender because it felt like they took a bunch of pieces from previous seasons threw it in the blender and out came this first episode & hopefully next week's lives up to it. But yeah the two part premiere comes from season 6 (which also while it wasn't the first original song/lipsync live challenge I think the first original rap challenge also came from s6 with "oh no she betta don't"), the spring & fall two look runway mini challenge comes from the season 7 premiere with an almost identical set to the one they used (it was also complete with fake celebs as Alaska had a cameo as "Not Anna Wintour" that ep and I think the "Not Kim K" from this ep was Kimora from S9 but no idea who "Not Kanye" was), & of course the top 2 queens lipsyncing for the top & a cash tip instead of the bottom 2 going at it to stay comes from All Stars 2 (and so far all all stars seasons since). It made a great episode but did not expect that many throwbacks to past seasons. Hell you could even count Ru's hat in the werkroom as a callback to almost every episode of S8 and a few early season episodes lol.

The format of the premiere is like Season 6 where they were two episodes with two different groups of queens. The only difference is that here nobody goes home. I think it was a brillant idea and i was so happy the whole time. This season is going to be great! 🤘❤️

Exactly, it’s a lip sync not a gymnastics competition it’s sad because Gigi can do backflips and stuff aswell but she decided to save it and not make her full lip sync just full of dances. Imo it was just awkward when she did that arm thing and when she basically broke her leg.

I kinda like this split premiere thing, we get to know better the queens and I’m in LOVE with this cast. Even the ones I didn’t care about in meet the queens, I start to like! Yes I’m an old queen , actually came out in Atlanta when Lady Bunny and Ru were local queens collecting dollars for shows, and I bet Jackie will end in the top 3... and probably win. She has smarts , style , and great reference for classic gay culture. Mouseketeer Annette Funicello, I Dream of Jeannie homage fashion, and Valley of the Dolls runway.......Ru eats that up and admires when young queens know classic gay pop culture.
very much Season 6. But yeah that premier was like jam packed with a lot more than any other! Split groups, a runway with two looks, a music performance where they have to come up with a rap verse and their own choreography, the actual runway and a fake-out elimination with a nod to 'lip sync for your legacy' from All-Stars where the prize is a cash tip of $5000! With next week's group only having six queens, I have a feeling no one is going home again. But there has been rumors a 14th queen was greenlit and casted but either quit or was DQd right before filming. I do find it odd they went from 15 to 13 girls this season. 14 was the standard for a while now and dping this split premier with odd amount is strange so it would make sense if it were originally 14 but one leaving right before filming made it impossible to recast or call in a replacement. In Season 6 they did not do exactly the same challenges and runway theme when they were split up, but I imagine the set-up will be the same: a mini runway extravaganza, a musical and choreo performance challenge, and a somewhat basic theme for runway. I imagine they will do the same fake-out and do a top 2 lip sync again and the third episode will be the true first elimination and probably the design/sewing challenge we are custom to see early on!

Exactly, it’s a lip sync not a gymnastics competition it’s sad because Gigi can do backflips and stuff aswell but she decided to save it and not make her full lip sync just full of dances. Imo it was just awkward when she did that arm thing and when she basically broke her leg.
I kinda like this split premiere thing, we get to know better the queens and I’m in LOVE with this cast. Even the ones I didn’t care about in meet the queens, I start to like! Already know i’m gonna suffer every week 🤣🤣 And Nicki for me is, alongside Gaga, the best guest judges in herstory! They should be permanent!

Such a great first group I like every one so far but I think Heidi, Widow, crystal are my favorites I'm from Nebraska so I gotta go with my midwest queens!!

Yes I’m an old queen , actually came out in Atlanta when Lady Bunny and Ru were local queens collecting dollars for shows, and I bet Jackie will end in the top 3... and probably win. She has smarts , style , and great reference for classic gay culture. Mouseketeer Annette Funicello, I Dream of Jeannie homage fashion, and Valley of the Dolls runway.......Ru eats that up and admires when young queens know classic gay pop culture.
very much Season 6. But yeah that premier was like jam packed with a lot more than any other! Split groups, a runway with two looks, a music performance where they have to come up with a rap verse and their own choreography, the actual runway and a fake-out elimination with a nod to 'lip sync for your legacy' from All-Stars where the prize is a cash tip of $5000!
With next week's group only having six queens, I have a feeling no one is going home again. But there has been rumors a 14th queen was greenlit and casted but either quit or was DQd right before filming. I do find it odd they went from 15 to 13 girls this season. 14 was the standard for a while now and dping this split premier with odd amount is strange so it would make sense if it were originally 14 but one leaving right before filming made it impossible to recast or call in a replacement.
In Season 6 they did not do exactly the same challenges and runway theme when they were split up, but I imagine the set-up will be the same: a mini runway extravaganza, a musical and choreo performance challenge, and a somewhat basic theme for runway. I imagine they will do the same fake-out and do a top 2 lip sync again and the third episode will be the true first elimination and probably the design/sewing challenge we are custom to see early on!
Season 12 is already very good can't wait to see what happens next week and that song omg they killed it I was gag
