  • 2 month of using dupixent has gone by very quickly!
    I've had Eczema as a child and used topical steroid creams for it for over 20 years... I stopped using the creams and this is how I got into Topical Steroid Withdrawal (TSW).
    After a whole year of suffering, I have decided to use dupixent to calm my TSW symptoms. Now that I have my life back, I am enjoying every moment to the fullest! I feel ALIVE again!
    Dupixent is a steroid-free medication.
    I am still healing from TSW while being on this medication :)

    I've had eczema my entire life and I'm 51 now. In my early 20s, I had oozing nips and It was the worst experience ever. It was very difficult to wear clothes without my shirt sticking to me. My heart goes out to you! I hope it gets better. 💜

    Your bf is so supportive! You’re a very lucky girl. So many relationships are destroyed over TSW from what I’ve seen in the ITSAN group. In hindsight you know you got yourself a real one. 🙏

    You’re adorable!
    I’m dealing with eczema for more than 10 years, I’m probably starting Dupixent treatment soon, hope it helps. Thanks for sharing and for relieving my loneliness around this disease. You’re great❤

    My heart melted when your partner hugged you after you took a shot!
    I just found your channel and it makes me so happy that Dupixent is working for you! I had chronic eczema for almost 20 years too until I discovered Dupixent. I'm on the treatment for 7 months now and it saved my life!! On my first 3-4 months the recovery was very slow. My face became very dry and red, my eyes were very itchy and swollen. On my 6th months my skin started to finally glow 🥺I no longer have dry eyes but still have dry patches in some areas but the itchiness is gone like 85%. I still have scars and dark spots (I know it will take months to clear up) but I can finally feel like a normal girl with a normal skin. I really hope you recover and feel much better very soon 💕
    Have you tried taking a Pre-filled pen instead of a syringe? I think it's a lot faster and less scary than the one you're taking. I personally use the pen, it's painful but it doesn't look scary to me xD

    I'm glad it seems the sudocream is working for your oozing!! 🥰 Another super economical option that you can try if you ever run out of sudocream is baby powder (pure cornstarch & non-talc). It also works good as light deodorant if you can't use normal deodorant yet because it's too strong and irritating to the under arm.
    PS: Looking forward to seeing your video on how to do the wet-wraps! I've never tried it because I continued with normal bathing like 80% of my healing journey, so I have never seen how to use them before.

    • @remi.tswjourney
      @remi.tswjourney  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oo okay! I like to keep things dry there and sudocream is doing so well. I’ll look into the baby powder too! And yes, I’ll get on to showing you guys how to wet wrap🫶🏻

    Remi! Try a basic zinc oxide cream! Sudocream has fragrance and irritates my skin when I switched it helped so much

    Great progress ❤. If you could share with us how to do wet wraps, it would be helpful. I still struggle with harden elephant skin and I have no idea of how to come back to normal soft skin.

    Remi, could the flare be the one year anniversary flare up? Alot of people report a flare exactly one year from the time they stopped ts.

    Just wondering about the dupixent. Is it covered by your health care there?

      Yep! I just pay $30 for a pack (with two syringes)

    Im getting the rashes like you after I see the sun. Its usually a delayed reaction, like 2 to 3 days after seeing sunlight

    • @remi.tswjourney
      @remi.tswjourney  ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh okay! I don’t recall my stomach being in the sun though. Do you still get rashes on areas you didn’t expose it to the sun if you’ve been out in the sun?

    • @EggZema_
      @EggZema_ ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@remi.tswjourney Yes basically I get rashes throughout my body, even when those parts are covered with my clothing.
      I do got tested for uv light allergy but the results were negative. The doctor said it might be my sensitive skin that can't take the UV light very well. But she was also not sure what is the cause of those rashes.
      When did you notice that Dupixent was starting to work? I'm on day 9 now and I do feel less itchy, but my whole face is getting dry and burning...
      I think this is TWS since I stopped using steriods on the day I started Dupixent. It is quite horrible but I think it is still better than the TWS I had a year ago without Dupixent.
      Well I hope it will slowly fade away.. gonna have my first self- injection in a few days..
      Thanks for your time! :)
