MHA Vigilantes starts five years before the main MHA story. The artist for the manga is Betten Court, and the story writer is Furuhashi Hideyuki. Horikoshi gave his blessing for the series when it was first out in manga, and a specific plot point of Vigilantes (Shirakumo!) was mentioned in Season Five of MHA. The Vigilantes story itself is really interesting!
This is a prequel spin-off manga that ended before the main series manga ended. I'm guessing it will have about 3 seasons for a full adaptation. Like around 5 or so years before main series timeline. You will see characters from the main series like All Might, Aizawa, Endeavor, etc - from both heroes and villains side. So more backstory with certain characters will be shown as a good supplement to some characters you are already familiar with and expanding the world of MHA in general.
