I'm a 53 yr old Aussie man who learnt to ride on the same model bike only, it was yellow. They bring 5 grand here now !

Full restoration I used to have one z50 Honda it's a fun little bike
I had a 77 z50 back around 1983 I loved that bike I was the 3rd owner drove it for years assome memories
Full restoration for sure, maybe a few upgrades here and there. Big bore kit, digital ignition upgrade, polished parts ,ect. She deserves it👍
My first bike was a 50cc Honda back around 1975. I put a lot of miles on that little bike. Full restore.
Loved my Z50 as a kid, mine was silver and red metalflake, had so much fun on it. Can't wait to see what you do with that lil bike! Made a fella grin when she fired up, I remember that sound well, she wants to play!
I like the new introduction. The Honda 50 brought back a lot of old memories of fun times in the old neighborhood. If I may insert my two cents a different ending. Thanks

In my opinion them old Hondas deserve to stay original
I had one of those when I was a kid needs a full restoration. We drove ours around in circles for hours.

My Cousin had one of those homda 50 mini bikes andnit was a blast to drive. Wish i could find one. One time.me.and him was ride it and a little dog chased us and i was watching it and thought my cousin was watching where we was going. I was wrong and both of us was watching the dog and we went head on into a tree. Hos head hit the tree and my head hit the back of his head. We both got hurt lol. A few other of my cousins tried riding it and one hit a house lol.those things where a blast to ride.
I even broke the rings on this bike and broke the timing gear, trying to figure out how to take it apart to rebuild the motor. This was such a huge motorcycle in my life.
You don't see those old bikes anymore. I vote full on restore. It will be a fun project to see completed

That is the same motorcycle that I learn to work on dirt bikes and old motorcycles and four stroke engines anyways, if you ever decide to sell it, please let me know. I would so want that motorcycle from the fold down handlebars to the electric brake lights. This was my first what I thought as a full motorcycle. I was 13 years old and I kept this motorcycle till I was 18.

full restoration is the way to go. Its in pretty good shape as is so cutting it up and modifying things would be cool but not cool as well

All sorts of stuff you can do with those 50's, but it'll only be stock prior to those mod's. But, I got short legs, but not short enough for those (tried a couple back in the early 70's, lol!). Looks like y'all might be getting lots of toys !! Thanx !

Do it back to stock. I'm building a couple of Bonanza BC2400 mini bikes for my grandchildren. Doing them stock. I had a chance to buy Z50s but they were a grand for junk. Make this one nice stock.
Full restoration if it's going to be for a kid. Engine mod it and some ape hangers while keeping the rest mostly original if you or another adult is going to be using it.
Restore it I had one when I was a teenager there a lot of fun.

Rebuild it an all as it was new fix the finder. They sell to the right person 4 times what it cost new. That is if you want to sell it. Lot of people like buying them so there kids can learn to ride a motorcycle on what they learned on.
Use vinegar in the tank it will clean it right up.

Love the mini-bike! My Dad bought a Honda 50cc from a work buddy in the 70's. I enjoyed riding that thing in the ally behind our house! Unfortunately, pre-teen me got goin' a bit fast at a 90 degree turn in the ally, target fixated on the neighbor's wood fence and ended up in a pile of wood planks and mini-bike. Luckily, I had a helmet and just had some scratches. Dad fixed the fence and the bike was gone the next day. Few years later, I bought myself a proper dirt bike (Yamaha IT) and stuck to off-road use. Good times.

Definitely I actually run non ethanol or race gas in all my stuff just for that reason
I totally agree. I used to ride dirt bikes. Maco 500. Bike from H E double hockey sticks. Chilicothee slate run. Fun but dangerous. Now I run the zero turn on down to Weedeater with the Rec gas.
