This man is a gift to humanity. May we all go deep in the prison we have built around us and discover the Truth of Consciousness! Thank you Thaanos for this service to the seekers of the planet. Your work touches deeply!
I just looked at Maksim's book on Amazon. It is currently only available in German, please provide an English translation ASAP!! Can't wait to read it!
Wow, i have so much respect for this man!! I’ve never heard a story like this in my entire life, truly fascinating! What an inspiring, resilient human!! Thank you for sharing the wonderful interview!
You may enjoy a very similar story about an African American man wrongly accused on death row who has survived and found tremendous internal peace through Buddhist meditation practice. The book is very readable and incredibly inspiring. The title is "The Buddhist on Death Row", by David Sheff.
This was indeed a powerful story! Wow. The whole journey with being tricked by the lawyer, 13 years sentence.. and in the midst of this terrible condition- being able to find real peace, happiness within. It’s so much to learn from this story, thank you SO MUCH Werner for making this interview, and most of all thank you Maksim for sharing your important message with us!!! ❤❤❤ I wholeheartedly wish you luck with your further projects!
This is an excellent interview. Amazing how the simple step of breathing deeply, led him on a transformative journey. Where can one buy the English translation of his book?
What a beautiful breathtaking story! Hardship that turns to sheer beauty and awakening. Thank you for sharing, from the bottom of my heart : God bless you ❤
An incredible and deeply affecting story. I'm in awe of this man and how he developed mentally and spiritually to such an extent that he was able to overcome what surely must have been a hell on earth. I'm deeply humbled by him.
Thank you for this amazing experience. Maksim is such an incredible guest. An excellent storyteller too. Can't thank you enough for the inspiration the story offers.🌹
Thank you so much for this fascinating interview full of hope through this incredible man who created his own wonderland as he saïd and moreover shared it Really stunning 😀 !
In Buddhism, samadhi is the last of the eight steps leading to enlightenment (the Eightfold Path). This is a very inspirational life story, he faced some very unfavorable experiences in the prison which puts so much agony in life, however he converted that into the most valuable path that anyone should be taken. He is very wise person. Thank you for sharing!
This is so great. After teaching Yoga for almost 37 years, I know how the wave of joy from your inner core moves through you, the stillness, the silence, the love, the joy.....it is who we ARE. "Everything was a new wonder...." life os miraculous is perceived perfectly. A very spiritual sharing, thank you Maksim. ...namaste, Elizabeth
A fellow prisoner from Nepal taught him. Not surprising! Nepal and the Himalayan countries have a very long history and traditions of deep, daily spiritual practice and meditation.
If you enjoyed this video, I highly recommend "The Buddhist on Death Row", a short book about an innocent death row inmate locked up for over 23 years now, Jarvis Jay Masters, who has incredibly found tremendous internal peace through a dedicated Buddhist meditation practice. The book is well-written and profoundly inspiring. The author is David Sheff. Jarvis would make a great interviewee for his channel.
Such a beautiful story about discovery of Knowledge within oneself ❤️ As it says in one of my favorite books "Knowledge is the part of your mind that is spiritual and permanent. It is the part of your mind that knows who you are and why you have come here, who you must reach and what you must accomplish." ( Greater Community Spirituality book by Marshall Vian Summers)
I completely understand this. How this happened. It is not the same what happened to me what happened to you..but I understand that feeling when you are in a court and you are standing there and you are like...wait wait wait...this is not what happened!!! And they won't hear you. One would never think that it could turn so hard against you. (this is what I kept thinking to myself)
Love the whole story and wish him well, and is an inspiration for Meditation and inner work and yoga people need, but hope for more NDE stories as well, best wishes to him as well as others.
Vicktor Frankl wrote his international best seller "Man's search for meaning" after his experience in a Nazi concentration camp - which inspired many, many people around the world. I believe this man, Maksim went way beyond Viktor Frankle. Perhaps 100 times beyond Frankl. Everyone needs to read his book. It may be the most important book of your life.
I’m as impressed with his composure as anyone, but the injustice, inhumane treatment, and horror he had to face are absolutely deplorable and hard to get past. Horrible and depressing
1:09:30 - I really think the best explanation for religious exclusionism and the commonality of it is that it's a memetic software and was never, first and foremost, meant to be an absolute truth claim - regardless of whether believers in more tribal times believed it. For example any group that didn't have social cohesion got conquered and enslaved by those who both had it and had better steel and soldiers. That selected for religious beliefs that both elevated the ingroup highly and deeply punished apostasy and heresy. We're in a place now where we're penned in as far as the world is concerned and short of any serious colonization of space, we're forced to deal with each other or go extinct - hence the importance now of more ecumenical views. A lot of believers are still severe and devout because, for thousands of years, being that way was the most environmentally 'fit'.
Anyone can achieve what he described or similar experiences if one meditates continuously according to Buddhas instructions found in Suttra pitaka. It is not a miracle. One has to give up all the wises develop morality 7 mindfulness. vary from person to person, depending on the prevailing conditions. May all beings be peaceful & happy -not hurt any being - loving kindness
Yep,,I ain't buying his version of events. Living that lifestyle in Thailand with fancy house, cars, bikes etc as 18-30 rep ? Lol 🤣 I dont think so. As the saying,,show me your friends and I'll tell you who you are .
He organised everything for the hotels if they needed drugs he would organise who gets drugs. The problem is he lied and that gave him 13 years. See if he didn't change the story he would get 5 years.

Amazing story
Is his book available in English?
I can only find it in German on Amazon. I'll keep looking.
He survived!
🧡
Unfortunately your book is only in German.
So nobody will acknowledge how handsome this man is???😅
❤️
My gosh he is gorgeous!! 💓💗💓
So, the Swiss lawyer set him up to lie in order to cheat him out of 52.000 Euro. I hope Maksim stated the lawyer's real name in his book.
I’d love to read the book.. I cannot believe that lawyer that scammed you.

Spritual path from 34 minutes.
This guy looks like the president of Ukraine
Monte Cristo. Kings to you, Maks.
Doing drugs in Thailand, really. It's like going on vacation to North Korea. Probably not a good idea.

@@jb6368 why would he make it up…..why would this be unbelievable, if he worked for a big hotel chain, he could make money.
He organised everything for the hotels if they needed drugs he would organise who gets drugs. The problem is he lied and that gave him 13 years. See if he didn't change the story he would get 5 years.
Terrible story of injustice, bungled justice, terrible story 😔
God listens to Slayer 😂
This was long and boring. Seemed more about prison than anything.
Guess you missed the enlightenment……tsk tsk
