Dude. I have a criminal record sadly due to some time I struggled with addiction and hope that the rendezvous lasts until I can get one and beyond. I want to attend very badly!!
This is great info for hopefully when that time comes. Knock on wood!!
Any time I go to Vous I drive from Canada. Takes about 12 hours from door to door. One year I decided to fly, never again. Didn't save any time, took 12 hours door to door, AND, I had to rent a car which was an added expense that I didn't need if I had driven. Also, the flight was worth more than I spend on gas there and back.
Chris coming in clutch with the guide I didn't even know I needed. I'm Vous ready!!
Heck yea! The Vous is a blast :) Don't think I'll be able to make it this November, but there's a slight chance it could happen!
@@cdplaya I’m most likely going to start traveling sometime next year. I haven’t really left Texas in a little over 20 years. I barely left my house in the last like 6 years. There’s so many places I’d like to see *and fingerboard stores* now.
Loved the stranger things type music in the background 😂 great video !
For those close to massachusets but don't own a car, always check the cost of flights. You can get a cheap flight round trip for under $200 if you plan really early, compared to taking a train which might run you close to $350 or more. Don't overestimate the cost of traveling by air, always look into every possible option to save yourself the most money. What I found is that it's cheaper and faster for me to take a flight
This is great. I ive right in manchester and make the drive at least once a year, I'd go more since its only like 30mins but Ive been busy
Awesome video , seriously considering going
my flight and stay are booked. excited to meet you, Chris!
Awesome! Hoping I'm able to go this year 😁 it depends on a couple things but I'd say there's a 50% shot! Would love to meet and sesh with you Maria!
Im planning to go next year all the way from Spain. Hope to see some familiar faces there!
I went to vous 31 it was a blast!
Super helpful video! Regarding travel plans... I flew into Logan and stayed at a Holiday Inn Express. There was construction on the tunnels to/from the airport so my commute was closer to 1:30 when I flew in Saturday around 11am and Sunday my flight left at 6am and only took 55 minutes to get to the airport. Was hectic to rent a car (an hour wait in Avis line, $140/day rental fee not including gas) so I would recommend to get a rideshare with a buddy if possible!
Great share! I usually do rent cars when visiting places, but I've never rented one from Logan. I always found taking public transport to the Andover area was super easy, and I could always Lyft and Uber once I was up there :)
Are you going?
Crk.
Pretty sick run down!
Possibly! I hope to.. Are you heading down there Chris? Would love to hangout with you again like the old days!
Damn seems expensive just to go crazy.
Why have I never gone to the rendezvous? I live very close
My biggest tip is to bring a car. If you have your own car Vous can be quickly done for $200 or less, maybe even $150.
For example, let's say the flat face is about 400 miles away from you if your car gets 25 miles to the gallon and you're paying about $4 per gallon of gas that's about $65 for transport.
Now you need a place to stay, to put it simply you should reserve a room as soon as humanly possible. You can easily stay at an Airbnb for 2 nights for $150. If you don't really care about sleeping alone you and some buddies can cram in the same room. However, I'd put it at a max of 4 people. But let's just say it's 3 and put it at $50 a night.
Now you're at about 115, but you gotta get something to eat. I'd say budget around $75 for eating and some sightseeing, Massachusetts is an excellent place so don't spend all your time just fingerboarding. The event is on a Saturday so Sunday before the drive back home has some fun.
All in if you do some penny-pinching call it $190
Definitely! If you live in a distance that is within road trip distance it saves a ton of money!
Wish i had my own apartment id have all my insta guys come stay at my
Place 😂only good thing about living in mass
🖤
Hey all, The Flatface Fingerboards Rendezvous is a special event. It's been a fixture for the North American fingerboard scene since 2007. I highly recommend attending! Let me know if you are planning on going to the vous in the comments below :)
This is so on point as usual. I missed two chances while I was in the states attending a Master's Degree at SIU. Hopefully, one day I can go back to the US and attend. God's willing🙏
your video was helpful see you there
