I knew Mr. Henry J. Deutchendorf, and at one outdoor concert I stepped away to the outdoor ladies' room, closed the door and paused. Heard JD's voice echoing in the trees on that warm summer night. Thought to myself, that voice was part of the forest. I felt so lucky to be a witness to it. Talked to him for a while after the show and had dinner with him and the band (including 2 of Elvis' guys). I explained how each show was different, revealing how he was doing in life at the time. He looked down to listen, rubbed his beard a bit and said, "never really thought about it that way ...", a huge smile, then got my own personal "far out" from him. So much more memorable than an autograph. Little did I know, it was the last time I'd see him. It's so important we never take folks such as JD, or Trace, for granted and we spend all the time we can appreciating and enjoying their talent here and now in the present while we can. We are blessed and lucky to share in their gifts and passions and must always remind them of how much they are loved and that they make this world a better place for all of us.

I got to see him live at The Ryman in Nashville, TN. It was a Great show & I loved this song as well as other of his new 1's not to mention the oldies :)
