EC "loves" to bring out almost the same colors over and over again. Like the dual tip markers are out in the regular packs and the same colors are in the Hello Kitty ones. Unless you really want the Hello Kitty on a pen, then if you have the color already, no reason to purchase it again. Some of their pens are way overpriced. Like the ball point pens that are in the boxes. $18.50 for one? I can get about 6 Jetstream ball point pens that are refillable for less than $3.00 a piece. If you want to buy the pens, then go ahead. I have bought plenty of the dual tip pens (I think all the colors up to last year). If you can, get the pens on sale. And if you get 4 accessories, then you will also get the 15% off. That helps to make some of the pens less of a "sticker shock"
That’s true! I think the pens are meant to coordinate with the EC colors and planners. I agree with the price of the fancy ball point - I think your paying for a gorgeous pen rather than the actual writing of it.
@@HanCanPlan - The only reason I have a couple are from the Surprise boxes. I would not spend that much on a ball point pen. One thing is I not like them. But I can get something that writes probably just as well, or better, for a lot cheaper. And probably can refill it.
If you like the metal rose gold barrel of the EC pen you showed I would recommend the sharpie a gel with the metal rose gold barrel. I bought mine at staples for $8 for 2.
For the [matching] dual tip highlighters, can you write first and then highlight--without it smearing? Or do you have to highlight and then write on top? Thanks for this video. Super helpful!
I don’t like the fine tip ones (in the plastic container) within days at least one color that I would use a lot kind of split and the tip didn’t remain a clean write if that makes sense.
@@Nurse_Hannah I ordered both the pastel highlighter dual tips and the other new pastel dual tips you have with the beige. Want to compare those colors to see what works best for my color coordination
In my experience the smaller the tip size, the more "scratchier" they feel to write with. Could be the paper I tested them on. But the smallest I have used is .4mm. Not all have been EC pens. But not going to spend the amount they want and find out that I not like them. Better to get them on sales.
@@HanCanPlan - That is why I am tempted to get more covers. But should wait until they are on sale again. And add in the additional "buy4+ get 15%" on top of it. If I remember correctly, it was either "buy one get one free" or something like that before.
Thank for this! Now I know which ones I’m getting!
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching. ❤️
Thanks for this video! I was in doubt about which pens to buy and with it I decided! 😊

I do love the Sharpie S Gel! I’ll check that out!

I have been able to do both! You might just want to give it a second to set.
@@HanCanPlan perfect. thanks for responding so quickly!
You can just use alcohol or hand sanitizer to remove permanent pens as well. Does the nail polish dull the plastic? I agree I hate ballpoint pens!
I haven't noticed the nail polish remover dulling it, but I do use alcohol wipes occasionally as well!

It does! Thanks for sharing. I haven’t seen that happen in mine, but it makes sense!

Ha! I just realized I responded with my personal account. Hopefully you knew that was me ;)
@@HanCanPlan didn’t even notice. Just appreciated the comment

Thanks for watching, Amy!

I love a good sale!

Are the new double sided pens gel or ballpoint?
They have a plastic nib.
And the Ballpoint click pens are not refillable. Would be nice if you could put in other companies refill into them.
I have never done that, but that’s a great idea. Let me know if you find some that work.
