Well the new arena belongs to the city not the owners they will be paying rent for the city but also the Thunder have brought so much attention with their team look at all the roster iteration or history they got. Now OKC is bound to win a championship soon they're an dynasty in the making, they will bring more fame/popularity to the city as they keep winning means more sponsors, endorsement deals then national tv coverage, sold tickets will increase since the arena will always be packed especially as they are gonna title contenders from merchandise sales. The revenue this city will be getting is gonna be a huge economic boost for Oklahoma.
@@slender289 I think you have some good points about the stadium and the teams impact on OKC but we’ve been to 1 NBA finals and lost. The Thunder have a good foundation of young talent with 1 max contract, draft picks have been working out. Draft picks still waiting to use or trade. Dynasty? That must be ThC infused kool-aid, bruh. Let’s get into the playoff and win a round. What I didn’t know was the stadium will be leased from the Thunder. So the Arena being built will be multifunctional. Cant wait to go to a concert.
@@slender289 there are economist who live in Oklahoma City that say this will not be an Economic boom. The billionaires are the big winners. They get to keep all profits from sales including merchandise and food. The money could most certainly be put to other needs of the city.
@@FlipIrish they're a dynasty because look that all the teams that have won championships the roster construction is similar to the warriors era or the current day nuggets. Recently the Thunder are off to a hot start but I wouldn't be surprised once they made it to the western conference finals and it's all because of SGA, OKC has a 2 way superstar like how toronto & milwaukee had kawhi and giannis to lead them to the promise land I see Shai being the leader but also he's the best player they got, so I wouldn't doubt him at all getting the job done with one of the youngest team in the league who btw was the youngest team of all time in NBA history to win 40 games and went to Play-Ins without a single veteran plus they were riddled with injuries last year especially in the frontcourt. They gained more experience with that run then added firepower to the team that's a lot healthier this time, you have to count that their young most teams cannot keep up with them since the league is getting older as well.
Depend on the thunder like the people that work at the hotels you know the waiting staff the cleaners all those little people more thunder games means more money more hours
Blessings to the city and the State
No problem at all. The okc thunder brings us together as fans.
now pay our teachers
Whoever voted "No," you manage your money wisely.
They should give all fans free tickets since they have to each pay $1,200 for the stadium. 🤯

Need more people to go to games!!!
Nice.
They’ll have a all star game there in the next decade like in 2033
1 cent sales tax. lets go
Working Oklahoma residents can't afford to go to the games. All that's happening is some rich person is building their legacy on others' back.
