With all that has been said about the Patriots, they really didn't dominate any of the better teams. They won a few of their SBs on FGs. What's up Cecil! He also had some horrifically timed turnovers during the 2022 season too. The one that comes to mind is the bobbled QB sneak when he was backed up against his own end zone. Minnesota scoring that way was one of the craziest plays I've ever watched!
The big thing with the running game is that it takes time to grind defenses down and you have no assurances that those bonkers Saquon runs are going to happen until they do, but if you don’t run block early and often you probably know the chances are slim because you haven’t put the weight and power of the O-Line for 2 or 2 and half quarters. Ideally there’s just a little more passing than usual, maybe like an extra 4-6 completions.
It's definitely a two sided decision. On one hand, if you want us to throw the ball, you better stop Saquon. Why should would let you off the hook if he's eating you alive? However, on the other hand, as you're pointing out the margin for error is a lot less when you play conservative, ball control offense. It's dependent on all three of the core units playing a relatively mistake free game. We've survived a few miss kicked this season. We need a complete game from all phases.

I Forgot About Chris Slade. He was definitely gifted, and New England had a knack for finding guys that could play on defense. The 90s through the early 2000s was like player after player on the defensive side of the ball. I didn't mention Vince Wilfork because he was a year outside the time frame, but he was another great player for them.

I still remember when Mike, Philly Fresh, and I would hold the Battle Birds Podcast and Mike had to sing Fly Eagles Fly. He was so nervous he forgot the lyrics.😝 That was ages ago but definitely one of the most memorable moments I witnessed on TH-cam.
I've seen plenty of it. If you're doubting that Saquon's effect on the offense can't extend into giving the passing offense easy reads, and burning you on the backend for playing +1 in the box, well that's kind of the point of the video. Only time can tell if it's good enough to carry us to a Super Bowl. However, this is a very well constructed team, and we will see if the passing offense answers the call if teams refuse to let Saquon beat them on the ground.
What's up Forte! They're definitely a weird team. However, they have the 3rd highest pass block win rate this year, but are very pedestrian when it comes to run block win rate, they rank 17th. There defense is weird too. Incredibly good defense rushing the passer, pass rush win rate is #6, and they're incredibly good at stoping the run, run stop win rate is 5th. Ed Oliver and Daquan Jones are having a really good year for them. Their secondary is a tougher conversation. When they're healthy, that's a super competitive secondary. Although, health has definitely been an issue for their secondary. Absolutely though. Other analyst would look at the skill position players and say it's Josh Allen only. Truth be told, Amari Cooper can still really run routes, Khalil Shakir is super underrated, Keon Coleman looks like a future star, and Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox are a really good TE combo. Then, add in James Cook and you got a team that lacks star power, but has a very solid core group of players.
I’m with you on that, and I have a sneaky feeling it could be Philly vs Buffalo this year. I’m never gonna count K.C. Out, but I think Buffalo is a tough match for them too. Two of the most rabid fan bases. The build up will not be dull if we end up matching up for the Super Bowl.
