I was searching my purse to find my bank card, and saw my "Runrig" fan card, numbered 130. It was sent out from Leith by an Iain MacDonald, and I am going to have it framed. This was before Maralyn's time as manager. Around the same time as "Play Gaelic"'s release. I am an old woman now, and Runrig have been with me most of my adult life, and I owe them such gratitude. Tapadh leibh Runrig. ............old Tich.

Everytime i was lucky enough to see them live was fantastic , but in a debilited state ( oldk age) i can still get with the beat and loving them evenmore. God bless you lads and "Slante" 😄😀
I saw them countless times , even in there own back yard at the Isle of Skye, I missed the final concerts though through sickness and was heartbreaking. There music will last forever though.
Going to miss that sound so much (I vividly remember bruce improvising "you make that guitar cry, man you must be from Skye" in Road Trip at the Party on the moor. )
The reality is he won't stop playing maybe like this yeah, but he's a celtic musician he's just played with Skipinnish recently, has been playing for other bands as well, when Rachel Walker was on tour at the time he played on her current album. He has relatively recently moved to Edinburgh since that's where most of his works from living on Skye all his life, was after his degree (and moving back to Skye) in Chemistry and Biology (he's a very bright man is Malc) when he was asked to replace the late Robert MacDonald after he died battling cancer.

Great video that captures the essence of a wonderful night in Edinburgh. Now looking forward to being able to pay homage albeit with some trepidation to a great band in Stirling in 2018. The music goes on.

Those trucks! I used o look for them outside a venue because not only are they awesome in their own right you knew you were in for a good night. The nearest I ever got to the band was walking from my Bet Lynch inspired B &B to the venue in the drizzle and waiting at the traffic lights to cross. As they did a minibus pulled up and it was the band. This was Donnie days. I thought "Wow finally our paths have crossed" as I picked y way though the puddles. Maybe I should have banged on a window and asked for a lift! I am sure I would have got one.
