This series is more fun then the most recent f1 games
the car looks so fast i 2006 idk why
I think because the tracks are made differently. Straights are longer etc, and still they made the cars to match the real ones' pace in 2006 so in general the cars seem faster than ie in F1 2015 :)

McLaren's weren't competitive in 06, they didn't even win a race.
they were but the car was not reliable

You're so intertaining seriously it's amazing how a racing games youtuber can be so intertaining
Don't put on fuel for 30 laps, just take as much fuel as you need to get to your pit stop in race and then go out in qualifying and burn the fuel that you are light as possible.

when you pitted you had fuel for almost 3 laps more. You could have stayed out 2 more laps with low fuel and you would be in from of one Ferrari at least!

it seems to me that codemasters did very well in making the moving of the cars looking very quick. The environment is just flying past the viewer which looks just amazing. hopefully codemasters creates something similar in f1 2016

If you go for the no stop, dont warm up your tires on the parade lap, warming them vigorously on the parade lap wears them quite badly so they will fall off of the cliff before the end of the race

8:24 Actually McLaren probably had the 3rd fastest car in 2006, but it was far from the Renault and the Ferrari. Basically they were a bit like last year's Williams

I did ZERO stops with Midland in Indianapolis and it absolutely works back on these days. It's a risk in Japan, maybe better do in in Brazil, which is much smaller. Trust!

Lost the championship on last GP,on Interlagos,crashing on Senna S,in the Last lap
Become a Maldonado for a entire season(Retire in practically all races)

Not what I was expecting after reading that title. Misleading, but in a pleasant way!
I also didn't have any expectation in China, and there I got a great 7th place in my first season with Midland. It was so beautiful. Now I'm trying not to be a test driver in S2, but I find it difficult unless I go to Super Aguri.

I am really enjoying the series.
An engine blowout robbed me off a championship win in my rookie season -.- I took Schumacher all the way to Brazil in the fight for the championship where I was some 10 points behind. I qualified pole and he qualified outside the points and it was just a matter of bringing the car home. But my engine exploded as the lights went out and I ended up losing the championship. What made it worse was Schumi finished OUTSIDE the points

Ben if you start heating up your tires at the very end if the formation lap, and not over the whole lap, they won't wear out that quickly and much in the first couple laps of the race
the title made me think that Ben would have the blow out
China is one of my best tracks in the codemasters f1 games, It is hard to carry momentum through that mid sector though

No stops is impossible in championship edition, not so much because of tyre wear, but because of fuel, you have to stop for fuel at some point ⛽
It's possible, believe me! Tyres are a pain and you do have to manage fuel a little. It helps that the game already gives one extra lap for your pit window in case you forget to stop (think Alesi in Oz all those years ago). Plus I always seemed to be able to use less than a lap of fuel, each lap. Whether that was me or the game overestimating how much fuel you'd use...
you can in psp if u do max fuel in start, but u have to manage the rate of use with the gears

It actually does, if you pick the 1 stop on 20% and fill it to the brim with fuel... Considering you get a lap in reserve already in case you forget to stop... It's possible, I've done it before. It's not easy though 😝
yeah that's what I mean stop on lap one and go to the end
I have done it before and one the race. It is not easy and it seems track specific but if I remember correctly I did it in Interlagos. You also need some luck and great defensive driving.
Although I must admit the 0 stop was a gamble on my part because I could only win the championship with a win and I started last because of a engine failure in qualifying.

Haha, grid failiures are always fun. I remember before F1 cars had Anti-Stall - every once in a while, a car would conk. Hysterical, every damned time.
tiametmarduk you should try to back up the field on a formation lap and make your tires warm so then the field arrives to the grid faster and the front guys have cold tires

hey Ben, you will need either a Logitech Driving Force Pro, Driving Force EX and or a G25 Racing wheel in ordee to be able to play the game with a wheel. i have just found it under thw controls settings if your wondering :)
Script/plot twist? :You will bump a Ferrari twice in the next race and demoted to Toro Rosso

i picked this game up for $1.79 at gamestop lol and i'm really enjoying it.
no stops isca good idea. with the toyota you can drive flat out. that car is very good on fuel consumption. every other car you need to lift and coast

Thats happen to me one time when only 3 cars started the race (me in McLAREN and both toro rossos) all the other 19 cars where stopped in the grid

McLaren were not great in 2006. They did not win a race that year, it was a year for both Ferrari and Renault drivers, and Jenson Button.
basically this game praises the drivers that do the overcut and thats why you overtook montoya.Because he went a lap with 8 ltr onboard and you did the lap with 2 ltr onboard.Also tye wear doesnt affect your lap time as much as codies games
The Undercut really wasn't a thing back then because of refuelling

I ALMOST got a Ferrari seat at the start of season 2 of this game, but I got rejected even though I beat the target time. I was so annoyed...

F1 2017 should have a warm up lap and ai having problems like engine blow up before the start of the race like here
