"I fall on my knees and ask for mercy, not knowing if am worthy" Tupac. Those lyrics are so true all we can do is hope we are worthy to make it to heaven, But in our own corrupt flesh we don't know.
EXACTLY. Pac was a Poet. Nobody will touch that aspect of thoughtfulness and passion he had. He didn't freestyle because he had that poetic sense that required him to think and write. THE GOAT
Yes the poetic words at the end of the song went over my head for well over 18 years until just recently. I would like to know your understanding and clarification to see how well you comprehended those words because it takes a bit of experience to get what the song was. (also want to clarify for the people that when Better Dayz was released with 2pacs remastered and unreleased songs they changed the beat and background vocal artists except for this PARTICULAR SONG) The OG version has the same poetic words and female singer on the released version so that tells us this is exactly how 2pac wanted to release this song before leaving this dimension.
Damn. I've never truly tried to write a comment like this but here I go ..I honestly thought I've heard every song of tupac's, came across this on a 90s nostalgia, I've never been made speechless because of a song. Now I've truly listened to ALL of his songs, some may think this is over exaggerating, but seriously if you just sit back and listen to these words and really allow the lyrics to flow through your ears, this is what real art is.. finished this song with tears in my eyes, Thank you Tupac Shakur for taking the ultimate sacrifice to show us the truth, and even if you are alive, I don't blame you if your staying hidden you still gave us an amazing catalog of inspiring, heartfelt, touching songs. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, some can argue all they want about who's the best rapper, but I've never come across an artist with so much passion, pain, love, sorrow, happiness, and anger in their songs. Thank you, and where ever you are, I pray to god your finally peaceful.
The depth of this man was unbelievable. God sacrificied him because he knew Pac was strong and wise enough to handle it. God blessed Pac to educate us. He gave Pac to us for a season and a purpose. Pac fulfilled that purpose. We have these powerful songs to continue to lead us. A life cut short too soon. Angel in heaven...
My brother was killed literally a few hours ago. He was 25 years old and his name was Scott Humbert. After being estranged for about 10 years, we started to reconnect and had a really good conversation just yesterday. Afterwards I listened to a bunch of Tupac songs and was struck by how much Tupac reminded me of my brother. I thought that I'd tell him the next time we spoke.
This is exactly how i feel "I put my faith in god blessed and still breathing and even though it's hard that's who i believe in" That line always hits me hard
his verses are so deep i sometimes weep a little when i hear them. the second verse, however, really hits me hard i can almost barely even say the words myself. it's almost as if the words were written by someone who could read my thoughts... this song has done that to me for 15 years now without fail. it's so surreal
It's great how the comments on Tupac and other older rappers videos are actually nice and not just about people arguing about religion, I'm happy that people are actually learning to live together if only 2pac was still here rip
David Ferguson apparently the beat is from a jamiroqoui song one of his gfs at the time suggested he write to from an interview on the art of dialogue channel th-cam.com/video/81VFzsNRwKA/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/r7IddTsNc3A/w-d-xo.html

Honestly, when I picked up Better Dayz...this track just blew me away. I was 17 or 18 back then and this song hit me the most. Always on repeat. The emotion put into his words. There will never be another. Rest in peace, Pac.
I love this song it really gets to my soul, no one is perfect but we can all do our best and keep God closest to us. I just thank God for artist like him💯😘 he is a true legend. RIH TUPAC SHAKUR.

100 years later TUPAC will still be listened too His articulate analogies are relatable regardless of race or socioeconomic status. Literally anyone can listen and relate to his music thus making him the immortal musician we still listen to
referring to 2PAC's verses, they are probably the most accurate and authentic assessment I've ever heard in a song. It resonates with my genuine sentiments of this existence.

They only appear on famous songs and form their opinion from there
Without a doubt, some of the deepest lyrics I've ever heard! Nice beat of course, but these lyrics are real as life itself! Thank you 2Pac, rest easy!
