We have the same truck as you guys had ram 3500. We tow a 40’ toy hauler and was thinking of a smart car but have decided on a sling shot to carry with us, when we don’t have our sxs in the toy hauler. We enjoy being together in the truck. But that’s us .
Love that we as people can choose for a season. You do you! Your season could last a year, a life time or somewhere in between. We gave a 26 foot toy hauler trailer. We are always looking at other options but doesn’t mean we are not enjoying what we currently have. My husband had open heart surgery last June. A totally different outlook on life. He’s starting to cut number of days working with Fridays off. Life’s to short so I have been able to take Fridays off too. We currently have a seasonal site but do pull it off the site to travel. Love the versatility. Our son, daughter in law and three grandchildren (5,3 and 2 months) have a trailer in the same park in northern Wisconsin. Beautiful sandy beach, our pontoon for fishing and electric golf cart for joy riding. When we need just time our time, we hook up and adventure (3-4 times a year). Love your channel and someday, God willing, may get a chance to be more part of the Switch It Up Crew then watching you all.
I love you too Todd you are hilarious and Sheila I love to drive to, but I cannot drive with my husband because he’s constantly talking about my driving so he does all the driving when go out of town. We don’t have an RV yet, but I am working on him to get him into this RV community that I love so much already, keep doing what you’re doing and God bless you
We trail for 2 reasons, 1 is the trailer hitch on our new class A was recalled and haven't had an opportunity and time it's going to take to have it replaced. 2; If you get caught in traffic in cities like Atlanta, you know no one will let you over, so having someone follow in a car helps block traffic so you can get over.
I heard that if you tow your vehicle on a dolly it is called a “toad” and when you flat-tow it’s called a “dingy”. I haven’t heard the dingy term used lately.
Todd s statement saying he does not like driving ! that made me smile he s driving 75ft. Whisper Whisper ! I always thought one of you had a wind problem and refused to travel with each other.. Fun vidio guys just as normal .
4.27.2024 Watching your video was a beautiful start to my morning. It's currently 5 a.m. here in Georgia. I'm in the planning process. In 4 months, my lease ends. The rent will increase by an additional $300. I'm also in the waiting game with my job. They've been doing a lot of layoffs, and my job might be one, but not until October, prayerfully. Anyway, I'm a proactive person and am looking for ways of parking if my husband and I go the RV route. I was thinking of vanlife, but we still want the "home" feeling when not driving. A friend of mine has Harvest Host on her website. So, being the proactive person I am, I started doing some research on good ol TH-cam University, and your "Harvest Host/Boondocks Welcome" page was the first to show. I watched it and loved it. Thanks, y'all. Happy, peaceful journeys.
Todd and Sheila, I love the choices you’ve made (not that you needed my approval)! Thankyou for the continued updates and content! Be safe always and enjoy this year’s travels!
We had to add a trail vehicle after we downsized he truck if the kids(adult chicldren) want to join us. You have to do what you have to do. We do prefer the long drives together, but then again, my wife likes my driving. 🤣
He had a great back up at the Harvest Host had to wrap around a building and dodge a giant fuel tank - he killed it! Of course he’s still super cautious and getting more confident and comfortable each little leg of the journey
Todd, that’s a good woman you have mine will help me by pulling into the driveway. I feel you with your arm going numb getting old isn’t for sissy’s. Be safe out there love watching your videos.
Congrats on the DriVORCE. Please consult with a DriveTorney so that proper arrangements can be made such as who gets what snacks, who gets the fully accessible plug-in cooler, & remember to compromise. Great stuff I love the plans as well as the travel update on the prior video all the way through 2025 hopefully I’ll be able to meet you sometime. Thanks for the videos.
Hey first of all - Thank you for your service - your sacrifice and that of your family is greatly appreciated and that beats any "join" feature ever. We are just thankful you subscribe, watch and follow the journey. If we need to meet up sometime so your wife can go for a ride -- let me know we can change her mind --- the ride is what changed mine. Thanks again! ~Sheila
How long is the rig when hooked up and road ready? I can appreciate your concerns about double towing but I’d guess your overlength for the requirements of many states as well.
The space just made more sense to allow us a bedroom/office area - could not fit that in a garage space if we wanted to haul the Bronco and we wanted to be nimble to go look at the space we are headed to etc. if it was in the garage you can’t do that
Great question - currently things like direct messaging other crew, brand discounts and exclusive videos/livestreams. Others coming but with this release that is it for now. Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment
We don’t have new toys! Still the same - motorcycle, e-bike, scooter, one wheel and kayaks. Well the Bronco is new but haven’t got to take it out to play….yet.
@@SwitchItUpLife the rig the truck n the bronco is new stuff however u want to label it. I never assumed anything else. 🍻 And so...we will ever get a tour?
@@SwitchItUpLife Thanks for the reply I had seen in one of the videos you were driving the big rig so though you may have your CDL so thought I would ask.
Since our boy Todd like to be a passenger & Sheila like driving, she must not like trailering as I don't recall any video of her driving shreck with feonia in tow.
Nope don’t like that at all- maybe something smaller like a boat 🛥️ or a small trailer but not Fiona she was too big for my comfort plus my favorite way to drive is fast - lol Fiona is kinda chunky and slows me down.
Thank you for stopping by and watching! That’s the great thing about RV life - you can find something for how ever you want to explore! Enjoy yourself and be safe!
love your videos, wouldn't chose HDT lifestyle but you guys are great. But seriously, you seem to be on a mission to burn the $$$$. Is it all worth it? What is the ultimate purpose? Are you just hunting subs? You too are too cool for that. Feels like there should be some old school mission statement happening here (yuck, hate that as a corporate retiree).... ok, so what is happening here??
Hey thanks for taking the time to watch and ask your question. So much better than just assuming .....we have a big vision and mission for making an impact - we definitely are not hunting subs we put out content that we hope will inspire others or help them on their journey. Then we look to build community with other like minded people that want to leave a lasting impact/legacy. We have some BHAG's (sorry just had to throw that in there for your corporate mind) and we are just looking to put some people on the right seat on the bus (lol I crack myself up ...ok I'll stop now) We are giving it a shot I mean what's the worst that can happen? We go home and go back to work? Well that isn't the end of the world if that happens. We live open handed and put in a ton of work to create a rig/set up that we think will help bring us closer to our vision/goals. It's a tool, It's also our home and office for a season. This world needs some positivity, some working/coming together, maybe when enough people get together to do good we can shut out some of the hate. Thanks again for stopping by, for watching and for taking the time to ask.
I don’t get not driving together….
But it doesn’t matter!
You guys do what you need /want to .
No need to explain.
Safe travels!

Hi from the Bimber's. We are out on our first week long stay of the year. Ready to start some adventure's. See you at the New York huddle.
When do we get a tour of everything?
Camping comes in many different forms. What works for someone may not for someone else. Do what works for you both!
Absolutely! Well said - what's most important is for people to get out there and create the memories!
I'm looking forward to seeing more videos. Thanks again for sharing your story.
So glad you didn’t forget your sunglasses off the hood of the Bronco 😂
Going to rejoin probably later this week the VA only pays once a month but avid follower. Wife has done told me no on HDT

We are 75ft when hooked up.
Another awesome video. Thanks for sharing.
I was interested why you didnt put the garage option on the rv so you had the capability to rull in the bronco?

What you guys call trail, a lot of us call chase. The chase vehicle would be the bronco in your case.

You can't choose another paint job on the new trailer?
? This is the design and color we chose.
