We were on a clifftop walk in Scotland when our lab discovered a dead maggot ridden rabbit..... she also decided to go for a one dog pitch invasion at the local park during Sunday morning football.
my lab wouldn't drop the ball either. I took two balls out with her and she'd drop the first ball in front of me so I could throw the second ball. Alternating the balls.
It's not just a treat vs. a burger. It's the knowledge treats will happen (remember, she said she never gave him treats because they'd make him fat), plus his human's approval vs. a burger.
4:11 As the owner of collies / springers I can't tell you how much of a pain in the ass labs like Bing can be out on walks. What makes it even more frustrating is that as seen here - it's not that difficult to fix if they take the time and effort.
@TheKingdomWithin-1721 THIS! sometimes its best to just not give the dog the opportunity to even think about doing something which involves knowing your environment and your dog. with this dog since he has this issue and they know wherever he is he may find food the best thing may be to muzzle him or just dont go near places where food is more likely to be available on the ground. scatter feeding at home can also help.
@TheKingdomWithin-1721 here in peru a lot of people discard food like that. my dog got ahold of a half eaten burger once. the muzzle was only mentioned in case the dog was a sneak like mine is. lots of owners use them for dogs with this issue.
Also feeding a dog dried food / kibble can cause the same behaviour. Should have wet food and chicken etc. included in diet. Much better for your pets h ea lth and kidne ys.
He is a very good trainer, but when he's telling the dog out of The dogs mouth, should he not be saying drop the ball instead of out but he's the trauner,it's good way he does,an stops all these other dogs for doing things.😊
I recently heard a Brit being surprised at how clean America is. I can tell you, people in almost every place do NOT throw takeout all over a park! No litter and no half-eaten food. Problem solved.
Synonym for Labrador = vacuum cleaner 😂
..but with no off-switch! ☺️
What a lovely lady, so naturally funny and quick witted, Graeme and her make a quite the rambunctious team!
Graeme is so kind and positive to the owners and the dogs - he's one of my favorite trainers!
It seems suspicious to have a bunch of burgers lying on the trail. Haha.
The show might have placed them but yes unfortunately in some areas people are dickheads and litter everywhere
Makes me want to look up to see if Wile E. Coyote is in a nearby tree, ready to drop a grand piano on me.
Perhaps I'm not very observant, but I didn't notice many bins in the park. I've heard that people will litter less if there's a bin handy.
My lab eats everything!!!
Bring two balls. He has to drop one to chase the other.
I'm sorry, but I just like Bing, what a character 😄

Lab being a Lab
Might not live that longer.
Great video@!
Scavenging is a problem I have with my dog. I call her a goat.
Oh man I’m earlyyy, what a great episode as always lol
Mine could out eat a starving lumberjack. Pretty sure she will come back in her next life as a chef.

Hahaha, my jack russell does that, I had a staffy that when I threw a ball, she'd look at it and look at me as if to say " well go and get it then!"
A doggy treat for a burger? My dog was far too smart to accept such a bad trade.

speak to the council, get some bins,
😅 Labs

6:30 it seems like an owner issue, not a dog problem 😂😂
@TheKingdomWithin-1721Yes. Agree.
Well...the environment too influences both owner and dog..
They are not functioning in a void...
Both need guidance at times to figure it out

@@earthrooster1969 sometimes dogs and owners need this but sometimes its best to just not put your dog in situations where failure is high.

😀😀😀😀😀😀
Never run after your dog..
I have had five black labradors and this dog has not been trained properly from the beginning.
DON'T LET HIM OFF THE LEAD THEN

It’s only a minority that throws food or empty packs everywhere. They obviously have a problem where they live, I never ever see it around my area.
Labs are awful for it !! My Rottweilers fine he enjoys his food but he doesn’t beg or expect it from us
