Another quicker way - less steps and less chance of error: 800[-]30[%] ANSWER 560. No need to correctly remember the amount to subtract from the total.

Nice of you to put something like this out. Helpful. Most calculators have a faster way of doing those same steps. Instead of multiply, hit the subtract, then number discounted, then percent, view result, then simply hit your = button. The calculator should do the rest of the math for you…also, it will stay in that percentage pattern.

Easier method:
Let's say 300 is the full price, 20% off should be done in 1 line in the calculator:
20% off from 100% is like 0.2 from 1.0:
300 * 0.8 = 240
An other example:
45% off from 250
250 * 0.55 = 137.5

1st u need to do this (300x20%=40) or (300x.20 = 40)so u can get the discount or interest.
Then minus the answer to 300 (300-40 = 240)
