- Shadowverse gameplay showing the new Kuon Spellboost Runecraft reminiscence of the old Daria deck in Unlimited.
Spellboost Kuon is definitely a refreshing deck to play and I think I get why people like to play them. They're definitely viable again now after being trash for two expansion (we don't count Unlimited).

Amataz wasn't even good on release. After Divine Smithing came out, it suddenly became usable. Too usable. It was rather cancerous meeting that same deck over and over again
Pretty sure people just miss playing spellboost and having a playable deck after 3 months would do that

I think it is overlooked that Sword is very resilient in these games, even with the god-roll.
Sword is good but can't keep up. Dropping 0 cost followers that board flood with ward, rush and storm is insane
@@Alucard632 I wasn't pointing out the strengths, but more so that with this video showing Rune at its highest of rolls, Sword didn't simply roll over. And this is still only day 3-4 where we don't exactly know what is the most optimal deck yet for Sword.

@@vincentjacob5513 Aragavy blood can handle 3, as i have learned from my own games playing Aragavy, but sadly it cant last 4...
Agree, Sword can definitely handle double Kuon and if they just manage to drop Frontguard safely it will be hard for Rune to deal with. I'll make a video on them at some point to show this.
I actually enjoy playing against this deck more than Daria's infinite turn 6 storm
i mean lets be real if the first match was Daria rune vs this sword deck. The sword player gets the win because Daria has not enough burst and he manage to clear 2 times in a row the board that its...more than daria can handle.

Rotation 9/10 matches are spellboost rune. Unlimited 7/10 matches are spellboost rune. TH-cam 2/3 videos from my subs are spellboost rune. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

I think would have done the greed play on T4 in game 1, going for the Core - and then evo with Eleanor on the following turn.
I don't have that legendary (only got one of the Sword, Forest and Portal legendaries). But every time Rune comes up I see him. Runecraft seems like the favorite now.
A lot of people, especially JP player, likes spellboost and after 3 months of not having playable deck this influx makes sense. Honestly think Natura Rune is better but we'll see
Maybe it’s me who didn’t face perfect rune player but for now everytime I face Kuon ( which happen often to be honest ) I beat it 80% of the time with Ginstesu shadow .
Once you can play Shuten doji on curve and have yukii onna or pudding girl in your hand you will break through Kuon defense.
And if you are low on HP play Ginstesu and it’s fine
even valdain will crying when facing this,the deck we feared the most in previous expansion
Not really, Mom can still wreck Kuon since she can kill the ward and him (unless you gigabrain and have 2 ward)
U should try ward haven deck in unli, finishing ur opponent with saintly leader+feather rush, it's fun!

Played both Rotation and Unlimited since day one to do missions and to just climb ladder, it's all just shikigami Kuon runecraft. I knew this was going to happen and it's so damn annoying, I hate it. How come my enemies get to have all the necessary legendaries/cards they need for their deck on day one? I'm not as massive of a vial hoarder or whale as they are. Now that Kuon and his gang are a part of Rotation it's just like fighting the top tier unlimited runecraft deck from VC. Zealot of Truth, Twinblade Mage, Chaos Wielder, and Kuon and the Shikigami crew. Yes, that's right, Zealot of Truth. He's Altersphere, not Omen of the Ten, he's still with us for the rest of this expansion. Spellboost spellboost spellboost, summon all your shikigami, buff them, and then give them all ward. Wonderful. Give runecraft more control than it already had by allowing them to be able to play more followers alongside everything they already had. I see everyone else not always having a real problem with runecraft but I'm convinced I'm the least lucky person in the world so my enemy ALWAYS gets a perfect curve which makes this deck really infuriating to go up against. All their cards are free ASAP which makes it impossible to win.
To destroy the cancer you must become the ultimate aggro. Amataz, Rayne, we may have lost Lily, but now we have MALLET MONKEY. Which I personally quite enjoy because Amataz Divine Smithing can brick very easily or end up not having enough damage. Mallet Monkey helps fix that thanks to the enhance to let you get that little bit of damage you needed to close out the game once you run out of faeries.
I played that in ranked yeah it fast and good, but it bores me so much I stopped playing it.
So true, even i put quickblader and leod in my evolve deck. Pushing damage in early game is so important when facing rune
Well you can beat Kuon with Ginsetsu too you don’t have to just play aggro deck .

Sorry mate, KMR gave me a godhand so I had to do it. Then again they're actually keeping up until the 3rd Kuon so Sword is actually not bad.
@@BehindTheCard I've switched to shadow recently, ginsetsu with the natura package can actually keep up with kuon while applying storm pressure. I'd love to see a video on it and have your opinion.

Has there ever been a moment where cygames release a new spellboost archetype that isnt considered broken by many of the playerbase already. D-shift, Daria, Chimera and now Kuon. Cygames never learn dont they..!?
they want this actually. Cygames need to push Runecraft because its their most popular craft. They know that Koun could easy cost 18 PP and still be awesome but they also know that peopl would not enjoys Rune first week so much if he was balance (and the most broken the deck is the most people buy packs and play the game).

rune is being silent for whole verdant conflict months and now finally is playable again for 3 days and people already complaint. Every class has their own expansion dude now is rune turn
But playing rune is fun. It required a lot of decision and thinking on how to use your spells.
@@radith4956 that is nothing, blood have been silent for 3exp since wonderland dream-omen of the ten and got nerf in less than a month after. Otherwise rune always strong since the first expansion and only silent once.
Edit: it is not 3 but 4 expansion since starforged-dawnbreak nightedge
