    Love the chill vibe. How long did that take to edit? Enjoying the new MacBook 💻 ?

      Thanks, you know me, always chilled. LOVE the MacBook editing is a breeze now, rendered this video in 3 minutes. 🤩
      It's slowed my next truck build down though as I'll be paying for it for the next 4 months 😭

    Thanks a lot Phil! Please can you provide a new link for Desert Lizard and Better quality Electric Drill/driver Hex bits?

    • @PhilBrindley
      @PhilBrindley  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Description updated. Apologies, didn’t realise the old links had died. I haven’t tried the hex bits I’ve now listed, but they are the ones I would go for.

      @@PhilBrindley thanks a lot Phil! What kind of shock oil you suggest for the Desert Lizard?

    • @PhilBrindley
      @PhilBrindley  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@dbitsrlthat’s a personal preference thing really, and will depend on the weight of the rig, the type of driving etc. Best I can suggest is to buy a range of weights say 300 to 500. Start at the 300 end and work your way up until you are happy. If you don’t want to buy a load of different weights then start with 300cst and 350cst and see how you get in. Good luck.

    Useful update! I tryed those buns with same wheels,but I didn't manage to fit them in the tires.May be the buns were wrong size ~110mm.

      Sounds like the same size as mine. Needed a bit of manipulating to get them in but got there in the end. 🤙

    Great video, thanks a lot. It actually made me buy the desert lizards for my Sherpa. However, I have the feeling they are a bit bouncy with the way I have set them up. I am using the 4-hole plates with 300cst oil and medium strength springs on top plus soft springs for the droop. Any chance you can let me know how you set up yours? I am thinking about using even lighter oil, to get rid of the bouncing.

    • @PhilBrindley
      @PhilBrindley  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi, I have mine set up as they came in the box which uses the softest springs above and below the piston. I think I used 350cst oil. I did toy around with the medium springs in the rear (on a different rig) but they were far to stiff for that application. I'm using them in my GSpeed rig now and they sit at about 50% compression with the above set up. In the Sherpa they sat lower due to the extra weight. Hope that helps and thanks for watching. 🤙

    Try and turn your wheels so that their pointing up the hill, when side hilling and a little more wheel speed too, mate. If you look like your going to roll, slow down and steer upwards. That will stop the fall. Will need to try and try again till you master it mate.

    • @PhilBrindley
      @PhilBrindley  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh no, you mean I'll have to spend more time driving it. 😂
      Thanks for the tips. Will be sure to give that a try. 🤙

    I did not know the SCX3 had locking differentials

    • @PhilBrindley
      @PhilBrindley  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t think it does actually. It has an option to add 2 speed transmission and rear DIG but if I mentioned locking diffs I was probably referring to that. It was a while ago and I didn’t fully understand the difference at the time. 🤙

    Thank for all the awesome content, I currently own a trx4 and was wondering how they both compare in crawling performance, any thoughts?
    Thanks,

    • @PhilBrindley
      @PhilBrindley  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Carlos, I've never driven a TRX4 before so can't really say for sure. Certainly when I have been out with friends with TRX4s I have been able to take the Sherpa everywhere they have, and sometimes places they couldn't. Overall I would say they are very similar in pretty much everything except price. 🤙

    how is the relaibility for this car? how long have you had it and what did you break?

    • @PhilBrindley
      @PhilBrindley  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s been good really. I’ve had it for over 2 years and the only thing I’ve broken is the shift servo. That said I don’t use it much now as I prefer comp style lcg crawlers these days.

    • @PhilBrindley
      @PhilBrindley  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@maximhens3134 not really, I locked out my diffs so I use the servos from those for the shift. Can’t go wrong with savox if you can get the correct size.
