I like the idea behind him, but he needs a companion that is much better then what we have avilable. The hounds we have now are mediocre at best. They should add an epic and legendary hound. Or maybe even a mythical that changes from a hound into a cerberus! I know that's wishful thinking lol. Anyways, thanks for the vid Boozor! Have a great day!

There will be a leggo dog couple guaranteed. I called it
For now, I think it's best to ignore his hex and bring another champion who applies it more reliably. His strong feature is his taunt, which basically makes provokes obsolete. Sure, provokes prevent abilities from being used entirely for a turn, but that also means brimstone debuffs won't trigger. And the main reason for taunts and provokes in Hydra, is postponing your champions from being swallowed. As long as one champion has a taunt, while the countdown to get eaten is on another champion, that other champion won't get eaten. The hardest part will be to increase the uptime of the taunt. But, there's gear that gives a chance to lower cooldowns, and some champions (like Krixia and Kymar) can also lower cooldowns on abilities. So it should be possible to get taunt to a 100% uptime.

Can you try him out with full retaliation set (x3), so he would bring his fellhound fella on every counterattack. That could maximize the dammage from the fellhound if that works.

video is great and fellhound is good with him. as you said, there are not many block buffs champion. as a mid game he will be valuable for me. I'm going for him
Fellhound is my campaign farmer. He's in full 9 piece slayer set not the best possible accessories or gear just stacked all the pieces that had no speed on him. He clears campaign brutal with room to spare at lvl 50. I also have a couple of fellhounds in the vault hopefully they introduce rare empowerment :).
pretty sure they will if they want the game to survive. longterm common and uncommon empowerment would be very intelligent.

Wave based content with maybe stun fellhounds. But honestly this is a bit too much investment for niche uses . Didn't want to promote that . Also I would have tested more fun stuff if i had more fellhoubds lol
Also something to note, fellhounds A1 scales off defense and attack. So if the hound had both increase defense and attack would scale even more. Not super end game but not bad for a rare

The thing is no champ they add will make "him" better. So if your banking on a future hound your just getting a another champ that would combo with him. His kit wouldn't change, his skills wouldnt change. He would still be the same champ. If they plan to recode his kit to include anything new u might as well give him some damage if u do that cause this guy will not help u win hydra clash, taunt loops was already a thing. U can use Dudan to do the same taunt loop with a lil cleanse, levthelin with a counter attack champ like Valkrie in a 9 piece protection set is a better combo cuz then u can target the taunt for who u want to get it. Plus the aoe a1 , packmaster might be a upgrade over green warden as a taunt champ outside of that i dont really need him

Pretty impressive Fellhound damage! I don’t have him yet but he did more damage than my Trunda in Hydra hard 😂
My Trunda needs some better gear and a soul though.
Packmaster does seem fun, I’m going for him just hope they release a new good hound.
I think there will be at least one new hound.
Remember, Plarium has upcoming fusions planned months in advance.
For instance, Adelyn. There were complaints she was no good for the dungeon she was made for. Then Plarium nerfed that dungeon some time later.
Also remember, Plarium likes making money with champions people greatly desire. An alpha hound to go with Packmaster would suit that purpose.
id hope they do it soon while there is still some level of mystery around this champion

I didn't think about the hound being a free one, I don;t have enough shards for a guaranteed but if the hound was free then I guess I should go for him
A heroes path hound would make a lot of sense I hope they do that if the hound is good!
If they released a hound that hits super hard and ignores defense and or shields or maybe even Stone Skin then maybe their PVP statement would make more sense. Right now his taunt with reflect damage seems like his best PvP application?
I was hoping you would test with Fellhound in cursed set.
I know it shouldn’t work this way, but I wonder if it could be coded so that: packmaster gets credit for hex placed on his ally attacks - then if Fellhound attacks (prompted by packmaster) applies hex to the decapitated heads, packmaster might get credit for the purposes of his 20% damage boost.
This guy is not great in my eyes but too unique to skip. And then the question is IF they add another hound, do they redo Packmaster's abilities to include that new hound? Right now it doesnt say any hound but names specifically.

So was Panda, and that didnt turn out to well either. Some unique cases, but in the end not much there sadly.
could this guy work for spider? taunt and have full team of fellhounds counter attack when the spiderlings attack him
for sure. but full team of felhound pretty big investment and i only had ONE fellhound given to me upon request otherwise i would have tried this type of team for content.
Lemme make a prediction. People will be mad again. So if the new hound turns out to be great those who don't go for Shy'ek will be mad. If there is no hound/bad hound added those who went for him will be unhappy. Raid checkmated themselves for this one. They shouldn't make any "gamble" champions like that
100% this. If they are going to make a champion like this, they should definitely show off their planned "companion" Hound before the fusion starts so people can make a better choice if they want to go for it or not
Why? Everyone have the chance to go for him and its not behind 1000 shards. Fragment fusions are the easiest to finish. They also hinted there would be a new hound coming. If people gets upset that the fusion might be good in the future they have no other than themselves to blame.
This champion idea is great for diversity even if this one fusion don't go the way they want. I for one don't like everyone running the same 5-6 champions in every content of the game. Raid no where near checkmated themselves, you just sound spoiled
Well we will also be mad if we go for packmaster and get him, then they release a good hound but make it extremely hard to get.
@@wtfkek1534 @wtfkek1534 yes I do agree with your point. The thing is that many people online are waiting for any chance to complain and spread negativity for any excuse of a reason they find. When I said they checkmated themselves I meant that no matter what they do with the hound I expect backlash. That said I did not intend to make my comment seem overly negative towards the fusion or Shy'ek, even though I do not like the fact that it's unsure how much better he's gonna be in the future. I'll skip this fusion because I don't really need him and if I regret it later it's just as you said- I can blame myself. Thanks for bringing valuable point to the conversation!

Everyone crying for a Mythical hound companion... sure, yeah... brilliant idea, hoping for a champion that 99.9% of the player base will have next to 0 chance to ever get their hands on! >.<
It feels like we're getting close to the time where we're due for another log-in legendary champ.
A free log-in leggo hound that companions into Packmaster will be a money printer for Plarium.
the hound will be available in an upcoming hero path, mark my words.
They should do a legendary fusion/login Cerberus champ that does like
A1. AoE hit. Ignore % defense if counter attack or ally attack
a2. AoE provoke
a3. AoE slow
Passive. idk, maybe move a1 ignore defense to abilities ignore % defense per dog on the team

I see lot's of people commenting if they add a new hound/s. It is not so hard to imagine, they literally add a bunch of new champs every month. A new hound champ is not at all difficult for them to add if they specifically hinted that they would.
Fellhound is getting most of his attacks from Shyek's abilities. Speed doesn't do much for him, if you change that to damage, his numbers should go up. Because 3 strong attacks is better than 4 weak attacks.
This, and fellhound also needs both increase defense and attack to shine, so mithrala is ideal as she is just a great hydra champ.
Phantom touch on the felhound would make those numbers go up quite a bit imo
Cruelty would be boss.
Better to use the new blessing to make his weak decrease speed strong

Make a legendary hound that slaps to go with him. The dog aspect of the game I think is for them to try to appeal to a bit more mainstream gamer
WE need him to be tested without hounds too , coz even if they released a hound he might not be good , we need to check this champ without his duo
Kit is pretty self explanatory without dog.
Unprotected taunted, shield and less damage, debuffs without the dog attacking.
they need to add more hound/beast that can be his allies, or add probably existing champ like brakus so the fusion can be more exciting

I wish they did cooler stuff at times. The idea is nice, execution not so much at times. Do we know his multipliers yet.
They need to rework the one epic hound currently available. And add more.
i think you might need the cooldown reductions to keep increasing the shieldvalues in Wixica Teams no?
more A2 growing probably needed so cooldowns help, but not sure exact science of the team to say.

Fellhound is a DEF champion, Padraig was only giving him Inc DEF which is not as good as Inc ATK, especially if you stacked ATK instead of DEF
ultimately it just affects his dmg output which was modest in these runs. in optimal builds and conditions, he would produce even better results which is encouraging !
I like his kit but idk man im also out of resurses so and i want a max hp damag fusion
I'd like to see what happens with an all hound team.
same, the only one i miss is fellhound.
They might just buff all the hounds or add new hounds to the list by just saying any hound in an update I don't have Rimehide or Dracomorph but I think they can count as a hound just for more options
Retaliation seems much better for him, rather than cursed set.

Just saw HH vid on this champ. He doesn't think he's worth it bacause none of the hounds are good and they take the spot of what could be a good champ and he's not good on his own.
On the other hand they may come out with a legendary hound he works with.
based on the hydra runs i put together - the felhound performs very well actually. i'm not sure how much better people are expecting, but to me for a rare to perform as well as he did in my testing, it shows his synergy is very strong.

Could you try a test running Fellhound in Cruelty, provided you have Provoke and dec. Speed covered on a different champ?
It seems like a high awakened Cruelty AoE with Packmaster's ability to provide multiple hound attacks would be the most efficient.

Edit: i have decent champions for hydra though. 3 Uugo 3 geo. 3 shamaels. 4 nia. Wixwell Marichka emic. Michinaki. Korugar. Artak. Rathalos. Nekmo and few more. But no trunda. I guess im pretty loaded for hydra LOL.

No, thats why bolster doesnt work for the infinity shield comps

Only bolster is special exception. The protected buffs can be extended I tested it with packmaster
I think he is reliant on the other dogs and I don't think he was meant to be the only hex as a hydra hex.
What would he be like with Retaliation gear?

I am quite sure plarium will make some whale events for a new dog to go with him to milk out the player base much as possible.. the hounds currently in the game is not somthing i would use for anything

Yes full 1500 turns. Full auto 1 hr run unfortunately hydra is like this
he's kinda meh... if I can add anything to him that can improve him greatly, it would be changing his a1 so it can heal him and his pack, to further makes him a lot viable especially in Hydra where he's main use right now, his a1 should function like madman, so he has a chance to hit everyone making him a good champion on Provoke or Cursed which is pretty important to his kit... He's unique, but that's pretty much it, I also wish they add Brakus into his Pack, then maybe both lego has more playtime

I think curse set is a bad choice. Better to put him in reflex, provoke or guardian. .
Hell Hedes tested too and he stinks , if they release an op hound a month later that’s just crap , they should have released both to incentivize this fusion , knowing Palarium a month later they’ll release them but you gotta pay $100 in some way
haven't had chance to watch other play tests yet - can you describe bit more why he stinks in his hades play testing.
hades also is known to drop nonsense videos at times, he looks at everyone from a whale point of view.
Meanwhile Nub Raids dropped a video on him and it seems decent. Certainly way better than HH is making out.
HH: 88m damage dealt normal.
Nub: 244m dealt hard.
Why not put Fellhound in the cursed set? he attacks a lot and should be a much better hexer

I was just thinking of the hypothetical as I didnt like the Packmaster hexing that much and on the all the hydra heads reliably.

I did conclude that his hex was not consistent enough and putting fellhohnd in hex was an option :)
2turn stoneskin, slow as fudge and zu-shen speedlead giving him his aoe taunt unremovable i can see be an annoying meme in arena with an extender should be able to keep it up forever. Budget lockout! lolz
3 Videos so far, and not one youtuber has tried the obviously fun (for the shets and giggles) "Packmaster Shy'ek + Hounds" only team in random content.
Come on, i'm interested in doing his fusion just for shets and giggles (i assume, but also hope, that i'm not the only one).
If an overpowered dog comes out then it'll still be for the shets and giggles, but will also have a real purpose.
But doing all that work just for the 5 mintutes of fun once... i don't know if it's worth it haha.
Isn't the point of that testing server with unlimited resources to just try everything ? Silly or not.

i would have done a full fellhound team as i think that might b viable for some wave content. however i literally had ZERO fellhounds and other hounds on my account. Probably all fed for food long ago, so i had plarium give me 1x fellhound to test only.

I don't know how the test server works, so excuse me if this is a stupid thing to ask, but couldn't you just pull shards until you got more copies of Fellhound ? Or more of the other possibly usable hounds ?

yes i didn't have any hounds, only 1x goremask which i tested. i had special requested to have 1 fellhound added to my account for testing.

he has dec spd and he is already in that blessing
I like fellhound with the increased Continuous Heal blessing, increases his utility a good bit if you have a 5/6 star blessing.

In his lore they also drop the names of 3 hounds. So that definitely opens the door. They've already recognized them in a sense
