When buying a pay dirt, a good one has 50% gold value which means if you payed 30usd for a pay dirt it has 15usd worth of gold so you got scammed or you missed a few gold pieces.
Need to rough your pan up with some gravel . I use sand paper , also put a little jet dry in the water as a surfactant cause light gold will float , also work on your panning technique, take like 3-4 lead fishing weights put it in some dirt and pan.if you still got your lead weights when your done your doing it correctly , but you want your pan to be roughed up cause the slick oils just let's things wash out. You want it nice and sticky .. also eureka paydirt sucks.. go with some klesh or miners depot also if you get a magnet will take some of the heavy blacks sands out . Make it easier for panning. I put mine on the front of my sluice when I'm out , got a video of you want to check it out. Helps tremendously !
