Sir, I grew up a cabinet installer/builder/designer since the late 70's. I have done 1000's of modular/customs cabinets both frame and frameless. As an installer I had to make a million changes in the field, and install a zillion more accessories. I have always prided myself as a pretty good wizard at either making things work/fit, or at least avoid getting painted in a corner by terrible designs by others. I admit... you have done an AMAZING job installing that very challenging piece of technology. That product is a masterpiece of potential failures, and it seems you avoided all of them. I take my hat off to your talents!!!
As a remodel carpenter/contractor (retired),I've done my share of this type of work.I've never seen a product like this. This was done from scratch in my world, taking far longer than this install did.Doing this type of work and having to figure it all out(and re-doing it)made me a better carpenter. There sure were times I wished for something like this...Blind corner cabinets may even become popular! (doubtfully)
This is really fancy. Well done. Very Nice For anyone who doesn’t have the know how or $$$ to do this. You can also get 2 Rubbermaid containers-. Add wheels or felt so they slide easily. It works great. The containers catch all crumbs depending on what you put in them too. Easy to clean and you can use the drawer. You do have to remove the 1st container to get to the second, but it only takes a minute.
We installed a very different style of device for our blind cabinet. The common attribute of these expensive mechanisms is that the net storage space is very little more than the original accessible cabinet. The overhead of the device and all its necessary clearances is too great. Sinking the base beneath as you have done is a great idea and I would love to see a family of products designed to take advantage of that installation process. Great job.
😢😢Sweet. I never found a decent solution for my corner so I put in shelving next to my freezer downstairs in my empty basement. Now I keep out of season kitchen stuff down there. After seeing this, I may rethink that corner. Thanks.
I have this exact situation to deal with. I was going to eliminate the drawer, and combine it with the door, this is a much better solution, thanks, for literally thinking outside the box!

I have a big corner like that and I actually love it. There’s no shelving or anything in there. But I have very large items that are also very light except for the toolbox :-) I don’t get in there very often but when I do, the stuff is there it’s so sometimes you don’t always have to get all fancy in those places.
@@renaissanceman950 You're welcome. I was in the handyman business for a long time and always enjoyed the diagnosis and solution part of trying to fix something. But, admit it, it is awfully sweet when it works out the first time (like this did for you). Keep up the great work!
We have a similar corner cabinet. I really wanted the double lazy Susan with the attached door (the whole thing twirls around, door and all), but they don't make them like that anymore. My S-I-L has one and it's great. The cabinetmaker put 2 tray drawers back in the corner where I can store my canning jars & things I don't use much. In the front of the cabinet, I have a regular drawer on top and a pullout trash can & recycle bin attached to a cabinet door. I love it.
That's a nice piece of kit, but I couldn't use one. Our dead space is in the cabinet with the kitchen sink, and the plumbing would block the upper part of the sliding rack mount. I was able to install a single level tray on soft close drawer slides that pulls over the things stored back in that black hole. Unfortunately, the under sink cabinet has to be unloaded to pull it over. However, it still beats crawling back there to retrieve some almost never used item. Glad you were able to use that system. It was pretty gutsy of you to to wack up your cabinet, and great job doing the required modifications.
We installed the double wide tray drawer under the sink. I just put the taller items in the front or sides where the plumbing won't knock them down. I put the shorter items in the center and back.

I don't have the skills or the money. I would be happy with just some rolling baskets that I could put in the blind spot area. That way I could just pull out the stuff in the front. And access the back.
Nice work. But, I have to say is it worth it just to store who knows what which is hardly ever used. Similar to spending $10K for an outdoor storage shed to store unwanted, unused items that you think you will use again someday.
