Me too - I wish they'd make it easier to know what music they remixed! I kept getting confused because info about them said "I take no credit. Everything is plundered" so I kept thinking I was looking at reuploads of "Macroblank" - I only realized that they were just remixing these because youtube caught and tagged some of the remixes, hence why I'm here! I like their compilations and remixes, but it's a shame to not credit the original artist...
@@mrahzzz I very damn shame that they are also making money from songs that are only slowed down. Their twitter is filled with vinyls and custom merch.
This feels like something that could inspire the Silent Hill video game soundtrack composer - I'm so glad I found my way to this song, and now feel I need to check out more about The Dining Rooms!
@@elenaperez6588 Macroblank rips artists' works and doesn't give them credit, but does make money off of them, so I don't feel comfortable supporting Macroblank :( His version of this song is fine, but it's just a sped up version.
@@alyssahopson5926 This video is one example (I found it through youtube correctly identifying the source on one of Macroblank's playlists). They say "I take no credit. everything is plundered" (on bandcamp and I believe on their youtube too), although they never elaborate to give credit to whomever they've taken the music from... So they're almost to respectable, but not quite, for me. Credit and citing sources is really important ethically, especially in the art world, I think. On their youtube channel, youtube gives credit to any songs it can auto catch/if an original artist marks a song as theirs, however, their channel is monetized, and youtube doesn't catch everything. They can make money off of their youtube when things aren't caught and via their bandcamp page, where you can download songs and playlists for free, but you can also name your price and pay them for stolen music. Kinda sucks for any original artists whose music they put out for free and under the guise of their own, sometimes edited, sometimes almost exactly the same...
Of course not, Barber Beats is all about taking tracks and altering their pitch, slow them down, etc... creating a crafted playlist/set list with a new aesthetic.
the single most beautiful piece of music ever composed
Nah it isn't actually.
MACROBLANK brought me here

I definitely had Akira Yamaoka vibes when I listened to this song (but the Macroblank version really blowed my mind)
