People don't understand that there is more to stephen curry than his shooting.
everyone just looks at steph like a shooter, but half the people forget he has some of the best ball handling and passing in the league as well

There's a huge difference between a scorer and being a champion. Curry knows not just HOW to score, but WHEN to score and when to pass at the most opportune times to elevate his team and excite the entire stadium. Timing and skills that Westbrook has never understood.
The thing is Westbrook doesn't have anyone good to pass to, so he'd rather take the shot rather than pass :/

russ passes the ball to earn assists, curry passes the ball for the play
Russ can only play hero ball, which is why he'll never be a champion. I don't care about his over inflated stats as he always has the ball, he is not a team player at crunch time.
Playing with another top tier scorer in KD has forced Steph to evolve his game. His skills as a passing PG are sublime this year!
That being said, some of these plays wouldn't have been possible if Steph wasnt such a dangerous scorer

I was born with a natural ablity to shoot the ball. I worked 2 and a half years on my handle non stop. I'm looking at Curry to try to work on my passing a perfect video for me to practice with, a perfect video for me to open my eyes to see not just one but two or three players I can pass to with ease when defenders come at me,.... What always goes unnoticed with Steph Curry's game is his court vision and his ability to spread the defense. He may not be the best passing PG in the world, but he is definitely one of the most creative ones.
Curry's passing is MONSTA...omg. I didn't realize until this video just how strong his passing skills are. Definitely a future Hall of Famer.

Somebody here had the nerve to say these were unimpressive passes when the point is not to show off but to make assists. And if you don't know basketball, passing is also about timing and setting the pace. The way he passes gets people into a rhythm and allows them to shoot higher percentages. He has a high basketball IQ.
