    Note that there's still a place and importance for overlay transitions as well. And I'll create a separate video for that as well (hopefully).

      I’m glad you pointed this out! Big time saver.
      Another question for you: is it possible to click on a layer (layer 1), and change the variant of a separate (different) layer (layer 2j as a result?

    Bro your a legend thx. Naming my layers with the same name ..such a simple method which fixed my entire app.

    I had no idea the basic functions used the same concept of naming determining when something animates. This will def help. Thanks.

    it depends on what exactly the overlay is being used for a book app for example where everytime you tap on a book cover thumbnail a pop up card appears with the books details, every single book is different and has different details hence a master component prototyped as an overlay would be better and way less work.

    I've never watched tutorial videos for figma, but being a photoshop user, I already got hang of the design and it's a good experience apart from some really stupid drawbacks (fonts mainly).
    But for advanced prototyping I'm trying to learn something new, although I already know what this guy is trying to say specifically in this video because the terminologies in figma already make a lot of sense. I think people should read and explore their software interfaces to discover some things themselves and develop their individual process.
    Cheers to Asaad though! He knows his stuff and I hope to learn the same from more of his valuable resources.

    4:21, easy if you make the home icon and its variants, so it will not move as well, right?

    How would you implement the principle of making all screens visible to a client (using figma default animations) using an example like an "options" menu? For instance, how would you design a dropdown menu (triggered by three dots or similar), such as one for language selection?

    I have a problem with figma i create an e-commerce when im in the cart frame i make a modal for delete the products in the cart. When i use prototype i select to tap on select the product for delete it then appears the modal (go back-delete from cart) but when im prototyping the button delete the option to tap is not available. What i should do to fix it? Regards

    • @AMDesignAndDev
      @AMDesignAndDev  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That may be because the button already has another tap event on it.
