All about the funk/groovy hardcore. Better than 90% of other stuff going on at the moment imo
Can you recommend any other HC bands with this vibe, my dude? I love this.
If the beastie boys were a hardcore band in 2014 they would be Turnstile
2:32 That guitar section definitely gives some crazy sludge metal vibes!
If I was in the WWE, this would be my entrance song with tons of pyro lol.
I have thought about this for years and I would pick the opening track to unhallowed by black dahlia murder.
On another note this just screams Shane McMahon
gremlin0890 Super late but my character would be a chill rocker dude. Kinda with a CM punk vibe with the fighting style of John Morrison and Chris Benoit 🤙🏻
This feeling is what they want, oh yeah
This feeling is what they get
Right now, break me out
Show me how to feel
No doubt I've been living a lie
Something over my eyes
Stuck inside, scared to make a sound
I keep me down
It's just the gravity I keep around
Expose the fear, found it out
And forget about self-doubt
Because I've been living a lie
Something over my eyes
Hard to lift my focus from the ground
I keep me down
It's just the gravity I keep around
Brendan’s vocals sound like Nick Hexum. Particularly when he sings “It’s just the gravity.” 311 if they were a hardcore band.
THIS FEELING IS WHAT THEY WANT
@@unverano lol i thought it said "is fillet what they want, this fillet is what they get" 8===d
Turnstile got that good
I use to play this at a independent clothing store i worked at and it was the only time the store had any actual credibility about them lol
man I love Turnstile
boy you must be crazy to hear and channel this angel riffs, YOU MUST BE
Totally groovy and I like how its more up beat! Can't wait to get down too this!
This reminds me of Cult of Personality by Living Colour a little bit
Living Colour was influenced by bands like Bad Brains--who were east coast hardcore. This is reminiscent of east coast hardcore.
Saw them lastnight at the Grey Day Tour in LA, it was AWESOME!
Didn't know who yall were before Rotr made their list. Needless to say I'll be checking you guys out. you've filled a whole in my heart I didn't know was there lol.
This band reminds me a lot of rage against the machine, it is the first time that I listen to them and I stayed 😮😲 they gained a new fan, greetings from Ecuador 🤘
Love this band! Creative n HxC!
I figured it out.. Turnstile is a mix of Terror, 311 and beastie boys. Sooo fucking sick!
+Andrew Ramirez Id add in there a little Dog eat Dog even Snapcase or Fugazi
this is basically a 90s pop rock song with a mosh riff.
Well someone needs to do pop rock some justice since 5 seconds of summer are currently annihilating it and then some lol
This is the best stuff!!!!!!
Gf asked me why I was so down today I told her it's just the gravityy
Holy shit i haven't listened to this band in so long. I had forgotten the name of them. Fuck yeah, now I can skate to this!!!
Great song 😎👊🏻
Those tempo changes tho!
Good shit!!
yet another turnstile banger
Snapcase was an influence for sure.
Super Band - Helmet & Bad Brains direct Influences for sure!
I remember when they put out "Pressure To Succeed" everyone were like "what the fuck is this". It seems that things have changed for 180 degrees now.
From what I remember everyone LOVED this band when they first dropped, and I can't blame anyone for loving this band. They may have just been my area though.
Matt Cronin Training Turnstile are amazing, that's for sure, and I loved all of their work all the way from 'Pressure To Succeed' (not that they have many releases after that one though lol), but I can't agree that everyone loved them from the beginning.. :/
There are still people that adamantly hate this band. Those people usually are pseudo tough guys or crucial 80s revival nerds.
My thoughts EXACTLY.
Going to be a sick album
These dudes are badass guitarist
All I hear is Prong!! 🤘🤘 These guys are amazing!!
metal AF riffs with punkish clean vocals
Wanna see these boys again
wow i this band is awesome
Muchísimos Saludos desde México Chicos, let's Go!
IF FEELING IS WHAT THEY WANT, THEN FEELING IS WHAT THEY GET
Wow Turnstile get better with every record. Probably going to be one of the best funky/groovy hardcore records of all time. It's so refreshing to hear something like this in a sub genre that at times can be so stale and uninteresting. I love almost all genres and sub genres and sub sub genres of hardcore/punk but to be honest the modern straight edge/tough guy/jock core/metal nonsense is probably my least favorite. Ironically bands like Turnstile and Angel Dust were spawned directly from that scene and are a breathe a fresh air and are absolutely killing it right now. Totally unique styles every where from the song structures to the album artwork. Goes to show ya even after the 40 plus years hardcore/punk has been around you can still do something original with it and it can still be new and exciting. Not to mention Turnstile put on an absolutely intense live show. So get out your over sized t-shirts and multi colored high tops and do your most creative funk breakdown dance to Gravity.
Hell yeah 🤘🔥
De longe o melhor álbum dessa banda, puta merdaaaaaaa
Sound like Bad brains love it
Very" Helmet" influenced, I like it.Its a good step away from all the" core" bands nowadays.Takes me back to the 90's.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who got Helmet vibes. I can also feel some Prong in parts.
ME ENCANTA ESTE GRUPO, VENIR A LA ARREBATO A ZARAGOZA EN ESPAÑA
W turnstile

Solo dos canciones logran transmitir tanto poder ... esta y know you enemy de RATM
If Melvins had a baby with RHCP and went to high school with Beastie Boys and Alice In Chains you would get this song.
MAJOR KEY CHUGS
Groovy shit 💪 I’m getting some rage against and pantera vibes and I’m 100% up for it \m/

Reminds me of Rage in a way, super jiggy though
Reminds Beastie Boys
I feel a helmet influence.
Snapcase?
Dog Eat Dog ?
Keep saying it sounds like Rage or RHCP. Nah, this has Faith no More vibes coursing all through its hardcore beats.
big time! even the new stuff ,songs like Fly again has a total Jim Martin/Faith No More lead guitar tone to it as well. and it's awesome!
Living Colour's son.
Sounds like "figure it out" off of the extermination compilation
Groovy as fuck.
Idk the vocals remind me a lot of 311 mixed with Rage Against The Machine
New era Dog eat dog 🔥
Rage against 311
kinda sounds like a Tad/Helmet with Zack Dela Rocha type vocals.
Snapcase anyone?
sounds like snapcase.
bust it
Inside Out
Sounds like 311
someone link me some dank turnstile memes
Does anyone know the lyrics?
Keep me
just looked into these guys iffy on the vocalist, the rythym and melody kicks ass, overall not bad i guess
if this was 1992, this would be a good record.
I know what you are trying to say, but I wish it was still 1992 so I like this record!
Sales wise and in mainstream appeal yes this would have done well in 1992 but it doesn't really matter, I'm glad someone's doing this in 2015
#gonzopunkfunk
Don't make me feel bad. Stop it.
What are they saying in the beginning? I cant make out all the words..
+Max Wiecek (Kastaway) "if feeling is what they want (oh yeah) then feeling is what they get"
but if you're talking about the actual lyrics it's "right now, break me out. show me how to feel"
Just the intro part thanks! Haha there were no lyrics for that online. Maybe I didn't search well enough idk...
+Max Wiecek (Kastaway) I got a bit confused so I sent both ahah
this is what I heard tho, but maybe no one wrote it cause they felt like it doesn't count as lyrics
So fortunate to have been exposed to this album
One of the only hardcorepunk bands around right now that doesn't sound liked beefed up tough guy shit
They don't have to try so hard to sound hard.
Yet... It was the toughest tough-guy shit out at the time because of their badass two-steps and heavy af riffs
@@diydylana3151 The former style is what dominated the hardcore scene ~6 years ago. Anyone who was there knows this. Because a small handful of bands like Turnstile released records like this at that time, we now have a more stylistically diverse hardcore scene today
@@diydylana3151 What is important is that the scene has changed in such a way where the dominant style from that previous period is actually no longer the dominant style. I think this wider change happened because bands like Turnstile were able to achieve significant popularity and a corresponding degree of cultural influence. Even though many artists with a similar style may have always been there, their records might not have had the same cultural impact as records like Nonstop Feeling, for example
Mas hj em dia bate uma tristeza de ver como a banda era e como é hoje em dia :c
