Gold bullion is not currently subject to any form of traceable registration so even if a paper trail proves that you had possession at one point. That's where the trail goes cold. People that store Gold usually dont need that Gold to be highly liquid so their rationale would likely be "why hand this gold in for US$2000/oz when it could go to ground for a few decades and eventually be sold to a friendly entity for a realistic price.
In the UK all gold transactions through registered dealers are reported to Government. Unless you are trading in a unregulated market like ebay there is a record of all your purchases and sales. Just that with the metal so tightly controlled they have no reason to do anything with that information at this time.
The real point about confiscation is that the government compensates the holders at a set price (I think it was $20 in 1933), and when the program is over, immediately bumps the ‘official’ pegged price of gold up massively (to $35 after the confiscations).

Gold bullion is not currently subject to any form of traceable registration so even if a paper trail proves that you had possession at one point.
That's where the trail goes cold.
People that store Gold usually dont need that Gold to be highly liquid so their rationale would likely be "why hand this gold in for US$2000/oz when it could go to ground for a few decades and eventually be sold to a friendly entity for a realistic price.
In the UK all gold transactions through registered dealers are reported to Government. Unless you are trading in a unregulated market like ebay there is a record of all your purchases and sales. Just that with the metal so tightly controlled they have no reason to do anything with that information at this time.

The real point about confiscation is that the government compensates the holders at a set price (I think it was $20 in 1933), and when the program is over, immediately bumps the ‘official’ pegged price of gold up massively (to $35 after the confiscations).
So do not give up your precious metals . 😮 hide your money in precious metals not crypto .

Most people don’t realize is that all they have to do is get a court order compelling you to turn it over. If you don’t comply with the court order then they can hold you in jail for contempt until you do turn it over.

It would go to $50 if it didn't get manipulated. But if you think about, it really did go close to $40, if you include the premium for eagles, for example.
