One month to wait then I get delivery of mine. It looks a long way from that stock one but still love it as it one my father bought in 87 and built in the 90s. TH-cam really lacking in RG videos
They're not too common, that's for sure! They are an absolute blast to ride! If you ever get the chance to ride any 2 stroke I HIGHLY encourage you take the opportunity 😀
RG's are top bikes, 400 or 500. 2 strokes are just fun engines, nothing quite matches the feeling of the bike clearing its throat & hitting the power band (& power wheelies are so much cooler than clutch wheelies).
@@PetesClassicCycle Holy crap, I know. I wound up buying a 1984 GpZ 1100, and never regretted that, but this is another order of fun. Plus, at the time we had a house in Quebec, so wouldn’t have had any issues with registration and insurance. That isn’t trivial for these bikes in the States.
Hi Pete, nice bike. Awesome condition. I would like to invite you to exhibit in our next Toronto International Spring Motorcycle Show, 'Red Carpet' exhibit. Details are on our website!
The RG500 Gamma is the best two stroke motorcycle ever built.
Yes, and I wish I had kept mine.
Bought one of these when I passed my test aged 20.
Best bike I have ever had. Still miss it.
By far my favorite bike to ride
Nice one Pete. The bike looks and sounds great.
Great vid, beautiful RG👌

Nice bike 👌
Thanks!!
i rode one of these once in 1990, and it was mind-boggling. In feat of insanity, I declined the offer to buy it for 6k USD.
I could only imagine what they were like back in the day. Hindsight is 20/20. Who ever thought that prices would go the way they did.

Sounds and looks great. But give me a triple ringing in my ears any day.
Triple does it for me ,just sounds angry
not for sale 😁
Where was this filmed
Southern Ontario Canada
I think with the cost of that bike it would be safer on a track. Too many things to hit these days.
