The road is better in this video than when I was last there. It probably changes year-to-year. I turned around at the last turnout because I was sure that my truck would get high-centered on that rough stretch, even with 4WD. The view at the overlook is nice though.
Rains have made many trails more interesting this year. I have been planning to go back and check it out again. Also the video always flattens it out, the rocky drop to Long Valley has always looked steeper in person.
There’s an uphill coming back from Long Valley Loop. It’s a bit slippery and without 4wd you need some speed to get up. Other than that most of the trail is fine on rear drive.
