Some fun Joel Embiid playoff facts:
The best team he's beaten in the playoffs is the 2022 5th seed Raptors led by Siakam and FVV
He averages 22 PPG on 49.2% TS in elimination games(a 9 game sample size)
In NO playoff run has he ever averaged more assists than turnovers
He is the ONLY MVP in league history to never make the conference finals
This year, he had the biggest PPG drop from the RS to the playoffs of any MVP winning season
He turned the ball over 8 times in back to back elimination games against the Hawks in 2021
He's shot under 20% from three over his last two playoff runs
He had a worse eFG% than Russell Westbrook during the 2023 playoffs
With a chance to go up 3-1, Joel Embiid went 0-12 in the second half against the 5 seeded Hawks in game 4, including missing a wide open layup to take the lead
He got stripped by Danilo Gallnari to seal the loss in game 7
Down 3 in game 5 of the same series with 15 seconds left, he missed BOTH free throws to seal the game
All of his offensive numbers(PPG, RPG, APG, TOs, FG%, 3P%, FT%) are worse in the playoffs than in the regular season aside from FT%
He has only won ONE playoff series in his career where he played in all four wins(2022 vs. Toronto)
He is 0-3 in game 7s and has posted a 49% TS and 5.3 TOs a game in those 3 games
He once got swept in a series despite averaging FIFTEEN free throws per game(2020 vs. Boston)
Over the last two seasons, he has a 9.2 BPM in the regular season(box plus minus) and a 1.0 BPM in the playoffs
WORST OF ALL: HE IS 9/38 IN CLUTCH(within 5 points, last 5 minutes by NBA definition) SITUATIONS DURING HIS PLAYOFF CAREER, WITH AN UNFATHOMABLE TS% of 35.7%

Glad to finally see more people talking about this. There’s only so much you can get away with before more and more people start to realize just how little you do for what you get paid to do. The whole “I’m a funny guy, look at me do above-mediocre plays but only against teams that are barely level with or below mine” thing is just not exciting to me.

Joel earned it. Joker didn’t play as well as embiid overall defense and offense but in the playoffs it’s different embiid keeps getting injured and doesn’t show up jokic earned his 2 MVPs and fmvp and ring.

@@thatonerandomguy1612 did he earn it?... their field goal percentages were MILES apart, joel is the bigger more athletic guy (or so we are led to believe) so how the hell does he average fewer rebounds?... everyone seems to give him the edge on defense but is he actually a good defender and is jokic actually bad?... the box plus minus disagrees and jokic might not stop anyone at the rim but he ruins SO many positions with deflections and kick balls... and obviously jokic runs an entire offense (and might be the best in the league at it actually) and embiid runs to the free throw line and literally nothing else
he didn't earn shit... it was a narrative pity mvp

    • @thatonerandomguy1612
      @thatonerandomguy1612 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

@@notimportant3686 field goal percentage goes to jokic cause he does shoot as much as embiid. You call it pity mvp but Joel out performed joker in the season. Joel had a great offensive and defensive season with the 76ers and the second half of the season after the all stars Joel was performing like an all star or superstar. You just don’t realize that a took a comment about race to realize Joel’s skill to earn him the mvp. Playoffs don’t count as the season. Yes Joel keeps getting injured. He has leg issues multiple times and a fractured face. Has he shown up as a leader after letting harden and doc take over completely last year no he hasn’t same with the years before. I admit he hasn’t shown off in the playoffs when needed to after injury in the second round and maybe before in the first round defensively and offensively. I’m not taking away from jokic greatness and his amazing playoff run or his past mvps but Joel earned it. He has shown to be a better all AROUND defensively and offensively. He has been better in scoring almost equal in rebounds I’m not sure of rebounds that season but I remember it being close and worst in ast. But defensively he is better completely and you can’t deny that. Fg percentage is obvious for why it’s lower and that’s because Joel takes more shots being the entire offense for the sixers. Joel has not had the same accomplishments as jokic but Joel deserved it. Joker plays normal basketball he isn’t like really special he is good at making the right play. He is intelligent when it comes to giving his team mates open shots by using his big body. Great player plays the game well but Joel earned mvp last season. Mostly everyone was with him winning mvp until the playoffs and another second round exit. Alright I looked at the stats and embiid averaged 1 or 2 less than joker embiid 10.5 or something like that and joker got 11.8 or something. Pretty close in rebounding and the type you should expect from a center.

Embiid allegations are increasing. He needs a ring or 2 to end it. He performs way better in the season than playoffs. It’s like he is tired like I’m watching the game and he just looks like he don’t got it in him to continue playing idk it could be his injuries or his mentality leader or not he isn’t showing up in the playoggs
