If you take it a step further and then cool the potatoes for several hours in the fridge, it further decreases starch molecules. You can then reheat it and eat, so long as it's quickly done in the microwave. This is good for diabetics, and supposedly can be done to even make them keto friendly (low carb). I believe it has to do with the structure of the starch which changes under certain temperatures and temperature periods. Boiling or baking potatoes requires a lot more time, which allows most of the starch to be broken down into an easily digestible form, thus spiking blood sugar and insulin levels. You use Worcestershire sauce in plenty of sauces/dishes…I’m not sure you can have a significantly longer list of German food items than that

And that potato cooked in the microwave is definitely a war crime, you will only be left with a dry mass without structure,all water in the potato is gone. Just boil it in water , then remove the skin, add a bit of butter to the potato and voila a completely different dish.
Quality of food has three factors, actual quality/taste, price, and convenience. Lower one and the others should go up, from an overall quality perspective. That $8 pack of meat is convenient to get, cheap to purchase and easy to prepare. Sure, the actual taste/quality is bad, but when balanced with price and convenience it’s overall quality shouldn’t be as low as if the same thing were harder to get or more expensive. The actual meat isn’t the problem, it’s the prep and how it’s served. Those “steaks” should really be marinated overnight, grilled and used in a stir-fry or steak strips on top of another food. It isn’t meant to be prepared as a whole slab of meat and eaten like a proper cut of steak. Sticking it on a cold pan and covering it in seasoning salt is just not giving the food a chance to be good.

Honestly 2 dollars for a steak is pretty much regular price here, it's definately not on the cheap side for 1 paper thin steak , nick's steak at 20 bucks looks pretty much like what we eat all the time (Now nicks might be from a decent producer so might be abit more expensive cause of quality but looks their the same). Here we pay about 9 euro / kg for a pork chop and venison about 13-14 euro / kg , add a baked potato to that maybe 1 euro , the spices or nearly free since they last for like 50 steaks for 3-4 euro. That is like 3-4 euro for the entire meal at most in todays prices, if u go back like 3-4 years its 30-40% cheaper before covid and the war. Dunno id never even put asmongolds steak in my pan, my stepmom when i was younger loved those steaks but i got nightmares from that rubber meat taste to this day.

Pro tip to still enjoy those thinly cut steaks. Just let them gently touch the searing hot pan from both side. They are called "Minutensteaks" for a reason. After that season with salt and pepper and optionally let it rest in the oven at 50°C for 5 minutes to keep them warm. They are not as chewy and a lot juicier.

sirloin isn't that good compared to ribeye. this steak is from HEB. For $9 you can get 2 thin ribeyes from HEB, lightly cook to pink on grill for a very good meal. You don't need steak everyday, Asmon is basically buying budget clearance sushi rather than treating it as a occasional meal and therefore buying higher quality
