I got a little nervous when you said you’re decorating for spring since winter just started 12 days ago😅. When I say nervous, I mean it seems like the Internet, influencers, retail, all try to speed up the seasons and I really feel that makes the time go by so fast. It’s kind of nice to enjoy where we are now.. live in the moment!! Being present now instead of always looking ahead seems like a lost art…
I love to watch these channels but will not allow myself to have my life sped up in this way, I am taking down Christmas decor slowly and will clean and then decorate with calm winter decor 😊
Lisa thank you for your comment!! I feel exactly the same way. Here where I live in Canada, it is winter and I want my space to feel warm and cozy. I have been realizing as of late that when I watch some TH-camrs they rush from one season or occasion to another, so far in advance and it makes me feel anxious, like as if I need to hurry and rush out to buy the next popular thing or change my decor long before the next season. I need to live in the moment to find contentment and joy with what I have. I do however realize that they must put out content early in order to offer inspiration for the next season but.....
I always appreciate Allison's channel for that because she creates her own path and doesn't follow all the trends.
Anyway, I just wanted to say your not alone in how you feel.

Yeah I get it about promoting the next season… but I feel as consumers we have most of the stuff for the new season. I also like Allison ( that’s why I commented) she does a very good balance of promoting the new & incorporating the old!! Yeah, slow down. Christmas finishes 6th of Jan. Its ok to leave the decs til then, slowly pack them up, keep and get rid. Take it easy, friend
I will taking down Christmas tomorrow!.. then cleaning whole house the day after. But keeping up my Winter decor ie cushion covers and blankets... because it is the MIDDLE of WINTER....snow... minus degrees....NO WHERE NEAR SPRING in northern Europe!..which comes in March/April!.

Watching this at 10pm here in England with the lights out nearing the end of my day... completely inspired turned the lights back on took down my Christmas tree packed everything away then sorted my clothes rail... thank you very inspirational... now finish watching this video with hot chocolate.... 😊

Tip for the vacuum bags, make sure you fold and organize everything and stack it up neatly. It makes a big difference 😊

I tried the baking soda and e. oil with lemon. I sprinkled it on my carpets and furniture. It was so delightful and refreshing. Thank you for the great idea! Blessed New Year!

Allison, Since you enjoy saving your tinsil, I have a neat little tip... save your cereal box, cut one of the sides out and then cut a slit about 1 1/2 " down. Now you can thread the ends into the slit so that they won't get tangled. Then you can find a ziplock bag to put the whole thing in, if you wanted?
Back when my husband & I were young I was pregnant during Christmas I undecorated the day after Christmas because our daughter was due on the 4th of January!

It is sad to see the Christmas decorations come down, we did ours today. The house feels a bit bare but it is nice to bring out the other deocrations we have for through the year.

Well, this video was so perfect, i went to homedepot bought a container put all christhmas away like you did. I cleaned and dusted did all the chrstmas laundry swept and mop all thanks to Allison !

Take this for what it is- Someone gifted me a diffuser for Christmas and I put orange oil in to make my house smell fresh. I was looking for blends to try when I got to wondering if it might affect my dogs (I have 2 fur babies, so my mind always goes there) sure enough, there are many bits of info floating around the web that discourage the use of diffusers/oils around dogs and cats- some say to have it on only briefly in an area to keep pets safe. Now I am uncertain if every bit of info was accurate....did it warrant caution or was it just another case of someone needing to pick their battles of what is/isn't safe in life?....but I just wanted to put it out there for you (or anyone really) because I know you love Palmer so deeply. Anyway, I wish you and the family a blessed new year and I look forward to all your new videos this year!

Do you ever plan to leave some Wintery decor out through January and February? That is a great way to be at home in the season, as most people forget about Winter after Christmas is over. A good home keeper should always have a home dressed for every season

I refuse to take any Christmas decor down for at least a week and then slowly blending it into Winter decor. It's snow and -20C here so spring stuff never comes out until March/April.
