Just popped up in my Recommended and subscribed (Super entertaining personalities) after watching a lot of your shorts over the years. So I've been watching Wong Fu on and off specially after I see Phil feature in other peoples' channels but it's awesome to see you guys have expanded out and got an amazing team now. Ted seems to be missing (If a fan wants to fill me in on what happened with him, that would be awesome). Tayler, Benson, Chris, Ashley are awesome (Christine is leaving?) and I wish the best to Pwangs, Wes and Ted (Even if he found bigger and better things somewhere).
Don't learn from this! I'm actually doing it incorrectly because I only have plastic forks at the office, lol. Best way is with a sharp metal knife, hack into the seed, and then twist to remove. Then use a big spoon to scoop ;P
I would just like to properly honour Benson's "I'm a superhero" quip with my first public comment, for it made me burst out laughing at 5am in the morning. Thank you.
lol when youve watched so much Wong fu that youve already heard about Phil's ankle injury and all his pain (video blog 18) love you guys and all your ultimately awesome stories xD
During my sophomore year of high school, I broke my wrist while snowboarding... It sounds cool, until you realize the details - as I was falling, my hand came in contact with my head with so much force (picture me flailing down a ski slope) that it actually broke my wrist. In essence, I broke my wrist my hitting myself in the head too hard.
my dumb injury, happened back in 1995. our 'Falcon Pride' club, did a month long bike-a-thon, from AZ. to DC to raise funds for a youth center. In Kentucky, I was riding my bike in the middle of the road, and was returning back, to the shoulder, didn't check, and everyone passed me, but my front tire, hit my fren's back tire. I didn't want to get road rash, so I let go & ended up in the ditch! broken collar bone. I didn't cry due to the pain, I cried because I was far from home and it was my first broken bone! I was crying, "Grandma, grandma!" at the hospital, I also had to put on a GOWN, :P and it was a reunion, my nurse's in-laws were from the border town of our Rez. my doctor was a Jimmy Buffett fan, we were wearing the t-shirts he donated to us. Everyone was happy & talking... and I was miserable. the party broke up, while I was being helped back into my shirt, my collar bone shifted, and I screamed, and started crying... we finished the trip, didn't ride any longer, got to meet President Clinton, .... soo many memories... We now have a Boys & Girls club.
I do gymnastics and I was doing a round off double back dismount on beam and I landed the double back perfectly! Then as I walked away, I rolled my ankle on there mat. It swelled up like a potato and I couldn't walk on it for about 2 weeks. I never went to the doctor for it but I'm pretty sure I sprained it
It's was around midnight as I make my way to the fridge too lazy to turn in the light I was like ehh half asleep kicked my right toe onto the table leg and the whole nail goes byebye
I'm surprised I haven't been injured more, but the one that always comes to mind is when I was 5 years old playing "Olympics." I ran full speed to do a "vault," realized I didn't know how to vault, and face planted on the asphalt. When I got up I had gravel embedded in the tip of my nose. I gave up on gymnastics after that.
When I was in elementary school I loved playing on the monkey bars. I was always sad during the winter because it was too cold to go across without gloves on. So one time I tried to go across wearing my gloves. I succeeded! I told all my friends to come watch me, and then halfway across I lost my grip and fell on my arm, breaking it in two places. Definitely a stupid injury haha. Luckily all my friends were there to get me to a teacher? Hahaha. Actually, before breaking my arm on the monkey bars I also badly sprained my ankle playing on pretend monkey bars. The smaller playground for younger students at my school didn't have monkey bars, so instead I would hang from the plastic tunnels that have holes on the side like windows. I also lost my grip and landed awkwardly on my ankle. I was 6 at the time and my mom put me back in a stroller because I couldn't walk. To be honest I was actually happy about that because I was jealous of my little sisters who got to sit in the stroller but I was too old, lol XD
I broke my collar bone while going up the stairs the cat was on one of the steps and so I skipped that step but instead slipped off of the other step and fell to the bottom on wooden floor
wait fracture and break is the intensity of injury. You usually don't refer to a complete broken off piece off the bone as a fracture. Fracture can be a ripple in the bone, while a break tends to refer a solid piece becoming two.
I was three. I fell and knocked my head on the toilet bowl in a hotel because I wanted to switch the light off before heading out and now I have a kick ass scar on my eyelid. Love it!
A bit late, binge watching at the moment. I used think shaving was super duper cool. This was in elementary school. Picked up my dad's razer one day, while the family was watching a movie downstairs. ...I came back down bawling with a layer of skin missing from my lip.
Was racing with some people and badly sprained/almost tore my Achilles. As the coach said GO! on Ready, Set, GO! I pushed too hard on my sprint and messed up my foot badly. Didn't warm up at all though. Learned that warming up is very important especially as you get older. Wasn't worth being on crutches for a couple months.
It always bothers me when Ashley doesn't put her hair up while she's eating. Am I the only one that always needs their hair out of the way while eating? Lol
In elementary school, I had those shoes where you pull wheels out to turn into skates (heely knock offs). One of the wheels was left out, and I was being rushed out of the car. Slipped and fell backwards on a locked arm. The bones in my arm knocked together hard enough to fracture one of them. Felt weird. Was kinda stupid. I hated those shoes afterwards.
this was very stupid. in the first grade i was playing jump rope in my house (cause it was raining). But i didnt own a jump rope so i used my jacket. I tripped and like I said before i was in the HOUSE with wood floors. Cut open my chin.I thought i was gonna die but i got stiches now a have a scar on my chiny chin chin
One “injury” that I remember wasn’t stupid. It was pretty small, but all that happened was I was jumping rope normally but my foot came down the wrong way and it hurt for a while.
My worse injury is when I was walking on a "brick fence" - a little smaller than the width of my feet - to test my balance ability. I was talking with my friends so I lose concentration and miss the fence. Scraped a pad of skin off the lower part of my leg.
I used to figure skate in elementary school and there was this metal bar that separated the green rubber floor from the marble floor of the mall floor. My older sister always made me do things she wanted to do, but was too scared to so she made me climb up on it and sit on it even though my mom explicitly told us not to several times. I ended up slipping off and hitting my head on the marble floor. I got up and the world was spinning and I started crying and my sister freaked out and tried to get me to be quiet so my mom wouldn't find out, but of course she did. I ended up spending the night in the hospital (since it wasn't my first major concussion as an 7 year old) while my sister stayed in the waiting room eating donuts. My mom still won't speak of that occasion more than ten years later because it scared her so much.
Impacted toe nail. It happened during soccer practice. It was raining pretty hard and we were enjoying ourselves a lot. Someone kicked the tip of my foot pretty hard, tripped over it, and then stepped on my foot trying to regain her balance. I remember it hurt pretty bad but we were days away from a big game so I played on. When we got to the locker room to change, my socks were stained through with blood. They had to surgically dig my toenail out from my toe.
When I was first starting junior high I was walking down stairs missed a step this was at home. I feel and my Ankle was sideways. I had to till it got better hop on 1 leg up bus stairs because at the time the transit busses they used were not lowfloor
the usual basketball related injuries, but one was really painfull, as i was coming down from a rebound i got an elbow to my Upper teeth, this cause them to shift, the one teeth that was always on front was now in back. i couldnt chomp or bite anything hard for like 3 months.
Okay so I have 2 "worst injury" stories. 1) 8 yrs old, at church playground, saw a pop can by the swings, friend IN the swing saw the can, I reached for it as she went to kick it. She got me square on the temple and I had a concussion. I remember flashes of that day (like suddenly being halfway across the parking lot, then lying in a cot in the church office, then being home watching a movie) but most of it is black chunks where I know my brain just wasn't recording info. It's a weird sensation. Freaked my mom out sooo bad. 2) 14 yrs old now, decided to go next door to my friend's house. He was a real MacGuyver and had built a zipline using scrapped 4inch steel cable, a bazillion nails, and an inverted bike handle. It was impressive. 20 ft up a tree at a fairly sharp angle down to another tree across yet another yard. Well, long story short, I started to go down the zipline, hit a bump in the cable, lost my grip, and fell the 20 feet to the ground. dislocated my elbow and fractured my wrist. Elbow still isn't the same after 17 years. :p BONUS: I also once lied to my mom about finishing my homework so I could go play tag. 5 minutes later, I sprained my ankle. I came in sobbing and after she called the doctor I cried, "Mom, I lied about my homework!" And with a definite smirk on her face, my mother told me "Oh I know." I NEVER lied to her again. 😂😂
Omg. I had a teeth injury before too! It was in elementary school in the lunch room area. The bell rings and everybody was rushing to class and since I was a smaller kid than the other kids, someone didn't see me and pushed me. So I rammed head first into the corner of a wall and lost all four top teeth of my mouth 😭 it was pretty bad cause I started bleeding everywhere too
There was a time in elementary school where my gym class was skiing just outside of our school. I walked up this huge hill of snow that we had shoveled from the sidewalk, and then I went down and hit a pole. I injured my right arm, which sucked because I am right handed so I had trouble writing for a good month. D:
during the summer between my 4th and 5th grade year, I visited a children's museum with my family. In the last 15 minutes before the museum closed, i wanted to do the horizontal rock wall, it wasn't that high, maybe 8ft, but you were supposed to go horizontally across it. In my hurry, i stuck my arm in a hand hold thinking that would help me stay steady enough to hurry across when my foot slipped. my parents drove me to the hospital because you could visibly see a lump in my arm. at the hospital the xrayed to find that i had broken both bones in my arm (radius and ulna). the worst part was that the next day, we went to see a bone doctor in order to straighten out my arm. it took maybe 4 people to hold me down and pull my arm straight. to this day, my arm is still crooked.
i fractured my left wrist twice in 5th grade and inbetween the fractures i had a back surgery... my first fracture was from catching a football in p.e class (my teacher was an ex-varsity player) it was so fast it just hit my wrist and fractured it (i did catch it though) my back surgery was from this thing growing out of my back so i had to get it out. the second time i fractured my wrist is the stupid one... i don't even remember what happened but we were playing baseball (once again in p.e class) and i just tripped while running from one base to another and the left side of my body dove first, so i landed on my fractured, healing wrist and it fractured again.
i got a minor burn on my foot when i was in middle school bc i was making instant bowl ramen. I got home from school and was hungry so after i changed and washed my face/hands i went to make some instant bowl ramen. I open the aluminum top 3/4 of the way. i poured water into the bowl covered the bowl with the 3/4 open top and just stuck it into the microwave for 4 mins. i went to the living room and was watching Pokemon. all of a sudden i heard popping sound coming from the kitchen. i look to where i microwave was and saw like it was bright yellow orange color. i ran to the microwave opened the microwave and saw like the aluminum top on fire. i panicked and i just stuck my hand into the microwave, grabbed the bowl of ramen with the flaming top and ran out to the backyard and placed it on the ground. on the way to the backyard the flame sparks fell onto my foot multiple times which caused a minor burn...i was tired from school so i forgot that aluminum foil would catch on fire haha...
My worst injury was legit, when I was still a ballet dancer I was mid lift and for some unknown reason my partners grip slipped and I fell on my shoulder dislocating it and severing a nerve. My dumbest injury was when I closed my car door on my face and the top corner cut my eye from my waterline, not bad enough for stitches but I went blind for like 10mins
i jumped off a couple stairs and i landed on my heel REALLY hard and turns out i got a bone bruise on my heel. What was really stupid was I had League prelims for track the next week, and I even tried to compete WITH my injury so that was even more stupid because im pretty sure that screwed up my heel even more...
You guys should talk about travel stories. Best places to go. What to do. Things to look out for. etc. I figure you guys travel a lot and many of the team are from different places other than the bay and LA so it would be very knowledgeable.
I thought the difference between fracture and broken is that fractures are when you splint your bone but the entire bone is still together whereas for it to be classified as "broken" is when there is a noticeable separation on the entire bone? not sure
I have so many stupid injuries. 1 - broke my leg the 3rd time by slipping on a linoleum floor. It was like bone out the skin kind of break too. 2 - broke my leg the 4th time by landing on uneven floor after jumping over a gutter. Was lying on the floor for like 5 minutes because my mom and brother did not believe me. It was a small fracture on my knee. 3 - sprained my ankle for the 3rd time walking down the stairs 4 - broke my left pointer finger in gym class when I was running to 1st base. The boy whipped the ball at me and to cover my face I put my hand out. I first thought I stubbed my finger but the pain got more and more intense. The swelling increased. It was a big blue swollen finger by the end of the day. Teacher said it was just jammed. It was almost broke right across the bone. It didn't heal properly so now it's crooked and ugly.
I never broke or had to go to the doctor for anything except checkups, but once, I was playing the lava game like half asleep or something and was trying to jump on a chair but I missed and hit my chin on the corner of a dresser. Now we have tape/cushioning over all our corners
Stupidest injury was while playing one-on-one soccer in the house with socks on. Got past my cousin and was through onto goal, and he pushes me. Slid foot first into the wall and fractured my big toe. At the hospital I peeked at the doctor's notes and he literally wrote, "Toe vs Wall, guess who won?".
probably my dumbest injury is when I was on my scooter going to basketball practice & someone I knew waved at me & I waved back, but while I was waving I scooted over a bit of concrete that was sticking out of the ground & I fell over & split open my knee through my jeans, I didn't even notice it was bleeding or feel any pain until I got to basketball & some people pointed it out to me
lol I've sprained both my ankles, one from skating, one from running. I have a scar on my right thumb from cutting it with a bread knife and I have a scar on my chin from slipping on flat ice...
On a nice winterday in december one of my best friends was drinking in a pub at oure hometown. Not alone of course but with his colleagues form work. They celebrated together because it was the last workday before Chrismas. Does sound nice, doesn't it? Like we all in this together *sing* So they had a great time and my friend thought "ok I will drink the last beer and after that I will go home cause I have to wake up early in the morning", *thinking with a voice full of wisdom*. But sometimes you don't get what you want. One of his colleagues had a gloriously idea to play arm wrestling. To tell you first. It would have been better to went home without drinking his last beer. They sat down on a table, surrounded each other hands and pushed. They pushed so hard that the colleague of my friend felt how the arm of my friend broken. My friend was lucky because he didn't felt that much (they were drinking) but his Chrismas was the worst ever (I think he will never believe in Santa Claus again :( ). Til today he has a little piece of metal in his arm. Two things my friend will never ever ever doing again in his life, first going drinking before Chrismas and second play arm wrestling and lose.
i was running for my bus and i slipped on some ice bc it was winter and i bruised my tailbone really bad lol i couldnt sit straight for months and since my parents are cheap they only had it checked out like 6 months after
when i was in 3rd grade, i was playing choo choo train with my younger brother atop a basketball net that had fallen down (so it was parallel to the ground). since i was the conductor i was sat behind the backboard, where all the joints were and somehow i got both my middle fingers stuck and man did they squeeze. i ended up chipping the bone on one of them but the thing i rmb vividly was feeling bad for sticking up my middle fingers whenever my mom had to change the bandage :c
Phil was cooking.
but not really...
I've never had a broken bone, but I've had my heart and dreams broken before though.
Rough...
relatable
does the same person edit lunch break every time? whoever it is, they did a really good job with this one, I love all the little snarky moments you caught in this video, and chris' delayed laugh at the end was absolute gold!
every video's editor is in the description.
oh thanks haha i didn't realize they started to do that
Scraped my knee falling for Ashley
smooth af
Now you just have Ashy knees
No, it's ASHY! ^
+Wesley Chan 😂
*slow claps* smooth
LOL that look after Benson asked "did it have fur on it"
Ashley is a precious gem of a person.
Chris zooming in on his own delayed laugh hahahahahahahha
Great edit, Chris! This prob one of my fav lunch break episode.
Don't worry benson I noticed your boots with fur reference XD
Why is this segment not just called "Wong Fuud"
YES
i could listen to Phil all day, he is such a good storyteller, he really paints a picture with his words

The editing in these videos is on fleek! Keep it up :D
Learning how to cut avocados from Phil in every other video... the real reason I watch lunch break 😂😅
Don't learn from this! I'm actually doing it incorrectly because I only have plastic forks at the office, lol. Best way is with a sharp metal knife, hack into the seed, and then twist to remove. Then use a big spoon to scoop ;P
PROTIP
wanted to be superman when I was a kid so when jumped off the sofa I ended up with a broken leg.
topic suggestion: talk about the most rebellious or "thought it was cool" things you did in high school
And now I'm watching all of Wong Fu's old vlogs again. Throwback lmfao.
I would just like to properly honour Benson's "I'm a superhero" quip with my first public comment, for it made me burst out laughing at 5am in the morning. Thank you.
OMG, i was literally in tears at the "Dang it, i cant eat my baked potato", totally didnt expect it somehow.
AHAHAH BENSON "did it have fur on it"
okay I know this is not a recent video, but i'm here laughing my butt off at all the silly stories.. thanks for making my day!
Nobody got Ashley's cooking... but not really reference. It's okay I gotchu haha ^____^
THANK YOU 👍🏽 Good looking out(:
I got it too😂👍
i was just thinking that.
The way Benson covers his face after the joke about Ashley. :D
I already missed Christine. 😢
3:40 "You're one of those guys who goes and plays basketball in jeans and Converses."
But Converse are the OG of basketball shoes...
lol when youve watched so much Wong fu that youve already heard about Phil's ankle injury and all his pain (video blog 18) love you guys and all your ultimately awesome stories xD
Chris's delayed laugh was really funny 😂
boots with the fur! lol

At least it was only a sprain! And you have a good story out of it, Phil!

I like how Ashley is disgusted by the fracture story, yet eats another few mouthfuls of Chipotle. Yum! 😆
I love how Phil had his own avocado to put onto his Chipotle - v smart choice!
Don't look at my teeth!!
now everytime you speak phil we were just like "aye lemme see your teeth real quick" 😂😂😂
Fell off my bed and fractured my shoulder
But I was only 3
Exactly what happened to me when I was 1 or so! Fractured my left clavicle bones.
I remember that ultimate frisbee wongfu weekend video of that
I do gymnastics and I was doing a round off double back dismount on beam and I landed the double back perfectly! Then as I walked away, I rolled my ankle on there mat. hahahha that potatoe reaction made me laugh way too hard 😂😂
As a kinesiology major, this is probably one of my favorite lunch breaks xD
i like how phil always brings his own avocado
I like how Phil got his own avocado instead of guac. 😁
I'm surprised I haven't been injured more, but the one that always comes to mind is when I was 5 years old playing "Olympics." Ashley's reactions to Chris's story is hilarious lol
Just gonna mention Chris and Benson were twinning this episode with their blue shirts
lol Everytime one of the guys would say it was stupid, Ashley- Aaaaay
I broke my collar bone while going up the stairs the cat was on one of the steps and so I skipped that step but instead slipped off of the other step and fell to the bottom on wooden floor
I was very small **
the cat pushed you!
+indiecloud100 not really I didn't want to step on him

did no one get benson's boots with the fur reference LOL
No I got it too 😂
Who wore it better: THE BLUE SHIRT. Chris or Benson????
I can answer that
I was three. I fell and knocked my head on the toilet bowl in a hotel because I wanted to switch the light off before heading out and now I have a kick ass scar on my eyelid. Love it!
Forget crazy Injuries,
How'd Phil get a whole avocado from Chipotle?!
A bit late, binge watching at the moment.
I used think shaving was super duper cool.
This was in elementary school.
Picked up my dad's razer one day, while the family was watching a movie downstairs.
...I came back down bawling with a layer of skin missing from my lip.

man i love benson's dad jokes
Every time I watch Lunch Break, I'm also eating something. I don't know if it's coincidence, or because I'm always eating.
Benson and Chirs look like brothers in this video :P

Major throwback when Phil was talking about the ultimate frisbee injury
One “injury” that I remember wasn’t stupid. It was pretty small, but all that happened was I was jumping rope normally but my foot came down the wrong way and it hurt for a while.
04:04 I remember that Wong Fu vid. Phil took the injury very seriously and Wes and Ted didn't think it was a big deal. Lol.
My worse injury is when I was walking on a "brick fence" - a little smaller than the width of my feet - to test my balance ability. I was talking with my friends so I lose concentration and miss the fence. Scraped a pad of skin off the lower part of my leg.
Wong fu plays ultimate frisbee?? Future video? Yes please

When I was first starting junior high I was walking down stairs missed a step this was at home. I feel and my Ankle was sideways. I had to till it got better hop on 1 leg up bus stairs because at the time the transit busses they used were not lowfloor
No dance related injuries Phil? I've sure had my fair share of those.
Had to get surgery for when Ashley stole my heart.
the usual basketball related injuries, but one was really painfull, as i was coming down from a rebound i got an elbow to my Upper teeth, this cause them to shift, the one teeth that was always on front was now in back. i couldnt chomp or bite anything hard for like 3 months.
What about a vid talking about your dream holidays! I live in Northern Ireland, it is beaut.
I've broken many things, but the most memorable is when I was roller skating, fell, attempted to get up, and ended up rolling over my own finger.
Okay so I have 2 "worst injury" stories.
1) 8 yrs old, at church playground, saw a pop can by the swings, friend IN the swing saw the can, I reached for it as she went to kick it. She got me square on the temple and I had a concussion. BONUS: I also once lied to my mom about finishing my homework so I could go play tag. 5 minutes later, I sprained my ankle. I came in sobbing and after she called the doctor I cried, "Mom, I lied about my homework!" And with a definite smirk on her face, my mother told me "Oh I know."
I NEVER lied to her again. 😂😂
Where did benson get his mug? I want to customize my own...
i fractured my left wrist twice in 5th grade and inbetween the fractures i had a back surgery... my first fracture was from catching a football in p.e class (my teacher was an ex-varsity player) it was so fast it just hit my wrist and fractured it (i did catch it though) my back surgery was from this thing growing out of my back so i had to get it out. the second time i fractured my wrist is the stupid one... i don't even remember what happened but we were playing baseball (once again in p.e class) and i just tripped while running from one base to another and the left side of my body dove first, so i landed on my fractured, healing wrist and it fractured again.
i got a minor burn on my foot when i was in middle school bc i was making instant bowl ramen.
I dislocated my shoulder and someone was up there grabbing my hand to help me ...
It's cool how Benson has his name and year on his mug so it wouldn't get lost ^^
i jumped off a couple stairs and i landed on my heel REALLY hard and turns out i got a bone bruise on my heel.
3 - sprained my ankle for the 3rd time walking down the stairs
4 - broke my left pointer finger in gym class when I was running to 1st base.
Uploaded one minute ago! Finally here on time. :D
I love when my fav youtubers promote my other fav youtubers (kian and jc) in their title 😩😩😩😩😩👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
probably my dumbest injury is when I was on my scooter going to basketball practice & someone I knew waved at me & I waved back, but while I was waving I scooted over a bit of concrete that was sticking out of the ground & I fell over & split open my knee through my jeans, I didn't even notice it was bleeding or feel any pain until I got to basketball & some people pointed it out to me
lol I've sprained both my ankles, one from skating, one from running.
Two things my friend will never ever ever doing again in his life, first going drinking before Chrismas and second play arm wrestling and lose.
i was running for my bus and i slipped on some ice bc it was winter and i bruised my tailbone really bad lol i couldnt sit straight for months and since my parents are cheap they only had it checked out like 6 months after
"I thought I was cooking...but not really". Lmao.. Ryan Higa anyone?
i have knee and ankle injuries on both legs bc when one is injured i lean on the other a lil too much
when i was in 3rd grade, i was playing choo choo train with my younger brother atop a basketball net that had fallen down (so it was parallel to the ground). since i was the conductor i was sat behind the backboard, where all the joints were and somehow i got both my middle fingers stuck and man did they squeeze. i ended up chipping the bone on one of them but the thing i rmb vividly was feeling bad for sticking up my middle fingers whenever my mom had to change the bandage :c
don't worry benson your boots with the fur comment didnt go unnoticed : )
