I feel like people applied 2022's results to last year in calling Wilson washed. In no way is 26 TDs to 8 Ints and one of the best red zone success rates "washed."
I don't understand why people are "impressed" with the Steelers. No losing seasons in over 20 years, we held the record for most rings FOREVER until stupid Tom Brady and his excellence ruined it. This is not impressive what the Steelers are doing. They aren't scrubs. They haven't been scrubs since the 80s. A few less than stellar years, yeah, some really REALLY ugly games through out the years, sure, but they've never been scrubs and for some reason, so many people are acting like they aren't worth a second look other than to question Tomlin, who, once again, HAS NEVER HAD A LOSING SEASON EVER IN HIS HC CAREER. Show some f*cking respect, my God. No one ever shuts up about the Cowboys who HAVE been garbage for decades but you all wanna act surprised when the Steelers win. It's stupid. 6 rings. Show some respect.
Funny how Russell Wilson plays really well when you have him run the offense that suits his skill set the best… Just don’t have him throw short middle of the field… NFC championship vs packers tape doesn’t lie lol
What’s always wild to me is the league wide disrespect that Tomlin gets every offseason from the press. So many people in media said we would be last in the division and that Tomlin would have his losing season. No one gave credence to Russ who had 3k yards and 26 TDs the season prior with a coach that actively hated him, no one credited Omar Khan for rebuilding both sides of the trenches, no one believed in evident raw talent of George Pickens even though he had 1k with Kenny fucking Pickett barely getting the ball to him. This team is top 3 in the AFC and could easily beat KC or Buffalo in a playoff environment. #7 coming back to the Burgh if all things go according to plan.
Russ was top 5/6 in the league in TDs and passer rating last year. About the same TD, INT and Sack Pct that he has this year. Difference is the Broncos defense gave up 36 PPG their first 6 games putting them in 1-5 hole and ppl could use their record to pretend Russ wasn’t any better than 2022 season where he had a torn labrum that ppl also pretended he didn’t have. Even this year despite him bouncing back ppl still moved the goalposts about the Steelers schedule or him being a merchant of Pickens or Arthur Smith. It’s really nothing he could accomplish where he would ever get the full credit he deserves. Even if Steelers won a Super Bowl ppl would give disproportionate credit to the defense and coaches.

Arthur Smith has to open his playbook earlyer. Every game he`s running his scripts the entire first half. It`s like runs trough the middle, tosses and deep balls on third... The difference between him and Matt Canada: Second half he make some adjustments, using tight ends and the middle of the field. It`s works but I`m still not happy with the playcalls. And please, please bring Mike Williams at wr2. He isn`t the same since the injury but still ten times better Jefferson ever was. Im tired seeing Jefferson rumbling and stumbling, dropping balls or cut into defenders with nothing but green grass in front (Cinci game). Go Steelers!
