Die vierte Generation des BMW 3er kam 1998 als Nachfolger des BMW 3er (E36) auf den Markt. Den BMW 3er (E46) gab es als dreitürige Schrägheck- und viertürige Stufenheck- limousine, als Kombi (Touring), Coupé und Cabriolet. Der 3er BMW wurde mit folgenden Motoren angeboten: 1,8- bis 3,0-Liter-Benziner (105-231 PS) und 2,0- bis 3,0-Liter-Diesel (116-204 PS). Der letzte BMW 3er (E46) lief 2007 vom Band.

Bro. I have an automatic 320d, and fuel consumption is around 5,5/6.
The sedan one with manual transmission and 150 hp facelift is around 8L/100km

hi, I have the same car, with fourth and fifth gear, accelerating up to 3000 rpm, I perceive a vibration from the rear of the car, what could it be?
Determining the cause of vibrations can be tricky, I´d start with wheel alignment, then I´d take a look at wheel bearings, all of the ball joints, differential, drive shaft(mainly centre support bearing) and possibly even rear subframe bushings... Loads of possibilities.

thank you very much maybe i found the cause, i have cracks on the frame on the left side where the diff cradle is attached, i bought the reinforcement plates and i will start fixing this problem, i will update you on how it will go

M47D20 and M47TUD20 are different engines. Both of them have a turbocharger, the TU in the engine code means Technical Update (Technische Überarbeitung in German)

You never drove one, did you? I used to be a gasoline boy myself, loved rev-happy engines, but the diesel torque is just something very very addictive. I have to admit, the M47 doesn´t sound that great, but try getting a 5l/100km with a gasoline car. On the other hand, the M57 3-litre sounds rather nice, the torque is amazing and the consumption is still around 6l/100km. Sorry for the reply in english, but I hope you can use a translator.

Das würde ich auch gern wissen aber ich glaube dann braucht man zusätzlich noch ein anderes Klima Bedienteil, wenn man das Teil rein haut

@@liiiivaa Not true! The Pre Facelift looks similar to the M3 E46 because of it's small front grille's and normal headlights that's why it looks better than the facelift ;))
