    Your video is excellent!
    In less than 5 minutes you made a presentation that was more informative and understandable than the 1.5 hour house call by the visiting nurse. My mom was left a bit confused and apprehensive about doing the weekly self-tests after the training than she was beforehand.

    Too bad the hospitals don't train their staff. I have a machine but am checking twice a week lately which means one of them needs to be at a clinic or hospital. The lady insisted that the machine doesn't need to lay flat so she angled it with the strip side about an inch higher while it was reading the strip. I knew it was wrong...but she didn't care and was offended that I said the machine needs to sit flat.
    So lesson learned...make sure the machine sits on a flat horizontal surface while it is reading the blood on the strip...and I guess I should have said something to someone before I left, but I was in a hurry to get to my next appointment.

    I couldn't see bc your wife was in the way! What was she doing & why did she block the camera? Did she get the blood to drop? When you said that you pushed it on the SIDE, what side? Im glad she helps you, but that's the part i need help with. The INR nurse said NOT TO SQUEEZE the finger! Did you squeeze the finger? bc if you did, and your test was perfect, then that's what I'll start doing. Thank you.

      +sinsagoodmansbrother Hello. me too. for my dear mom. I wish your mom all teh best. May i ask questions please? Electricity voltage in the country where i live (Iran) is different than that in the US. I see the batteries lie in the back. So, shall I still plug the device to the AC power or are the batteries enough without any need to plug the device every once in a while to the electricity outlet? another question pls: will you discard the strip that is used during this video? then how many strips one needs to store at home for a year? what about the pricks? I will need to buy as many strips and pricks as possible for a year time storage because I am not living in the US. So it's not easy to buy one or two, rather I need to purchase a lot at once. thid question please: what happens with the digital chip? as you see I won't get the chance to repair it. is that a userfriendly and healthy chip or will it encounter a glitch every once in a while?

      @DEZZIS51 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No need to plug it in. Batteries will work fine. Discard strips after each use. strips are very expensive unless you have medical insurance for prescriptions. You only need to check your blood every 2 weeks. You can get the strips on e-bay. The strips come with a chip that needs to be changed when you order new strips. Store the strips between 36-86 degrees Farenheit. Is your model an S or XS. ? The S model has been discontinued.
