I just watched your old Tech Mafia Altezza review from 13 years ago. I really appreciate it, miss those days.
Re-subbed! What were you doing in Japan? Lol

You're Welcome.
this is what I'm waiting for, thanks for the video, keep up the good work 😁
What a great idea for a video - stealing it and giving you no credit!!
Send me your address I’ll send you the lenses.
?
How about an battery charger for an Sony a230 as it's what I need the most
This is the video for the people who blew their budget on the camera body and can no longer afford a nice lens.😂
Just got the Viltrox 28 f4.5 and mounted on my a6000. Cannot believe how light & powerful is the combo!
Appreciate your efforts. Thanks very much
Great video. Thanks for making it. I love this type of content. 😊
Thank YOU! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
The Ttartisan 25mm f2 isn't full frame. I recently bought the Ttartisan 27mm f2.8 AF for 110€ (a little bit over the 100$ budget) and loving it! DxO photolab has a profile for it so distortion and vignetting are auto corrected
Can you please show image circle of these apsc lenses on a full frame camera?
Unfortunately Amazon does not offer the manual focus lenses from Kamlan. They can be found new and used on E-bay. They are more money, have excellent build quality, and decent optics. I used the 28mm f1.4, which you, Arthur, reviewed @ 3 years ago. I found the Kamlan 21mm f1.8 was even better.
Agree with you. Kamlan makes some great lenses, they just have a horrible marketing department. Its a shame because they could be a whole lot more popular with some changes.
Great review Arthur. Reminds me of one of you old school "Technology Mafia" reviews from back in the day. Out of all them lenses I only own the Meike 35 f1.7 In my case I canny fault it. Stopped down a tad the CA is well controlled. Decent sharpness & a buttery smooth focus ring. In fact it put some of my more expensive lenses to shame. I'm guessing you may have received a dodgy sample. ?? ✊
It's possible. This stuff happens with quality control. Sometimes you get a dud, and sometimes you get a gem, and if you do, keep it!
the viltox is coming my way i orderd 1 , i think the orio lens was kind of vintage, thatch watts in at this moment , making pictures like we did long ago
Arthur, I already ordered a Ttartisan prime lens. And I'm planning to get a zoom lens too, I'm thinking about Canon RF lenses. Maybe you can make a video about using lenses from Canon or Nikon with Sony apsc cameras...
compare meike and sirui 85mm for sony
TTartisan 50mm is a value king portrait lens. I'm not getting any other in my collection
need comparison between ttartisan 50mm f2 vs brightinstar 35mm f0.95
Some of the cheap manual lenses give astoundingly good results. Too bad Sony doesn't allow stabilization to work with them. 😢
All aps-c sony's cameras with IBIS pretty expensive... It's certainly odd that you found the money for a camera body, but not for a lens with electronics.
What do you mean? IBIS will work with manual lenses. Assuming that 1) you have IBIS camera, 2) IBIS is on, 3) set lens focal lens manually in menu. Works for me on a6700 + SMC Takumar 50mm 1.4
@@fedyaf2710 They might be getting confused as they might not have an IBIS camera, like the A6300 and under didn't have it. So they might mistake the OSS lenses for IBIS
@@fedyaf2710 times are tough buddy, I'm adapting. Sony needs to meet us halfway by increasing the value of their product. My new camera doesn't have IBIS, but it has active stabilization. I'm not sure why that requires electronics in the lens. The stabilization in a video editor doesn't require it. And Sony is playing games with Catalyst Browse by not recording gyro data on lenses without electronics. If it was necessary, I'd accept that. But it isn't, so they are just being a-holes about it.
I guess the 7 artisans 35mm 1.2 didn't make the cut, at $120. But its pretty amazing.
a little over that $100 limit! After 100, you get into a lot of autofocusing lenses that are quite good as well.
@@ArthurR you should do a video on this, also have you reviewed the lens the comment above mentioned? curious about it
7 artisan 35mm f1.4 really underated, its not much review on youtube except a youtuber name petr Gardian.. thanks to him i bought it as my first lens with my first camera (fuji xe2).. really2 sharp
7artisans 35mm1.2 mark2 is my favourite ❤❤❤❤
Thank you
Arthur doing the work for us all
The Oreo would be the choice of our kids 😅
Many thanks for this very interesting video. 👍
The most interesting video yet
I've been looking at old sony e mount cameras (the nex series) and lenses like this for a gift to my niece who has been taking hundreds of pictures on her phone. I think this will work out great.
Do it. All those cheap lenses makes it cheap, and a couple look like they are edible.
I have the Newer version of the Meike, gives me good results.
Nice channel. Just found you and wondered if you still shoot with your Sony A9?
No, the A9 was great, but i just didnt need it at the time. Although now, the prices are so low im tempted to get one again. Happy with the A7C at the moment.
@@ArthurR Makes sense, I traveled a lot with the original a7r and a7s and now that my kids are getting really fast, my cameras can't keep up so I thought I'd pick up an a9 just to keep up and make family memories easier. Did you have any issue with banding or image quality when shooting with the electronic shutter?
Even tho I would never buy any of them, still a awesome video!!
Hey Arthur, do you find the 7Artisans 35mm f1.4 easy to focus? I've got the 7Artisans 25mm F1.8 which as you mentioned, is difficult to focus. Hoping the 35mm is much easier.
The Focus point 2 meter & infinity is really short. it's easier to focus if the subject is less than 2 meters from you. I miss focus so many times when subjects are far away.
How is the TT Artisan 25mm f2 a Full Frame lens? 🤔
My mistake - ive edited it.
Great❤❤❤❤
First to comment on the top 10 low price best lenses 😛
Hi Arthur 😁
Worth mention, the Meike 35mm F1.4 is also available under $100. And, many of these also available on several other mounts.
Not sure what you do with these heap of lenses. Need access to your dustbin
Shelves and shelves full of lenses lol
Sirui 85 1.4 review coming up?!
i dont have it yet, but possibly. I saw an email the other day...
@ArthurR literally only one review on YT at the moment. I was like, let's see what ArthurR has to say about it lol
The Oreo Lense was Bild on purpose to look bad to give the retro look
i dont think it was built intentionally misaligned, but who knows.
👍👍💗💗
Why is an oreo cookie on there?
One of these things is not like the other!!!!........:)
No sooner that you review them, the price goes up. Sometimes double the price quoted.
@@kevin-e5h5t no way, which lens?
those 2 disposable lenses can be made for about $2-3 at home and will give the same result 🤣🤣
Yes but you have to ruin a body cap! A sony body cap is $6! amzn.to/48qm4vF
I think you mean Price, not Value. Value implies a good return for money spent, regardless of amount. That first lens is absolute junk and a complete waste of money. Not good value in any way, and certainly not 10/10 value. And the defect lens should have been 0/10 - who is ever going to use that lens? Rank without your 'value' scores for more meaningful results.
In my opinion, why waste your money, there cheap for a reason, if you are serious with your photography then spend money on good gear, otherwise just use your smart phone or purchase old vintage lenses for having some fun with.
I think the "oreo lenses" that appeared in the video are not even worth using for decoration.
But there are at least 3 lenses on that list that give good results in most cases.
If you don't have much of a budget and only do hobby photography they are a much better option than spending triple the price on lenses with improvements that most non-photographers won't even notice, and they are also a good option if you just want to have fun with manual lenses.
@@laiart16 Just buy much good quality vintage DSLR lenses. I bought a Minolta 50mm F1.7 lens in excellent working condition, £30 and then a Minolta MD to SONY E adapter for £20, total cost £50, and just one of a handful of good quality vintage lenses I have, the most expensive costing £60. I am a hobbyist photographer myself, but I still like to use half decent stuff, if your a non photographer you may as well save money and either just use a mobile phone or buy a basic point and shoot bridge camera with a decent zoom range on it that will deliver better results than spending similar or less money than on a entry level APSC camera body in this case from SONY, only to buy cheap lenses that are medico image quality at best . That's my opinion.
An Oreo cookie doesn't quality as a lens.
Also looks like the is race on to build the best compact lens for e-mount.
Chinese lenses. No.
You know that most camera brands make their cameras and lenses in china? Also Apple products etc... even Hasselblad is now owned by Chinese company and Leica D lux8 = Made in China
@ that’s why i don’t buy those. I don’t even care about Hasselblad.
@@D.MD02 so what brand do you use?
@ sigma all the way.
@@D.MD02 you're missing out sooooo much
